Absolutely fantastic service at DIRECT SPECS in SHIRLEY,BIRMINGHAM.
I had a fall and as a result,my spectacle frame got damaged.As I had purchased them from Direct Specs in Shirley,i took them there. The staff Gary and Matassa were incredibly helpful and efficient. Gary repaired the frame while i waited in the shop and To my surprise, there was no charge for the repair. As a customer who purchased my glasses here, I truly appreciate this exceptional level of care.
It's rare to find such excellent and generous service. you've definitely earned a loyal customer!
Highly recommend!

Awful Service

Awful, I ordered online, uploaded my prescription but when I received them the frames were fine but the lenses, completely wrong. I sent them back at my expense after being promised they would refund the postage. The second pair were even worse than the first and I never got a refund for the postage. I have no idea how they could mess up two pairs of glasses so much and also not have the integrity to refund the return of the first pair. Don't bother with them.

We then re-made your order with the exact prescription submitted, and fast-tracked delivery. For us to understand any problem with the second pair, be it a potential issue with the prescription itself or pupilary measurement, we would need to see the lenses on return. A full refund was made on your order, including the value of goods and the initial postage and packaging for your order, the latter to cover the cost of your postal return. Visited direct specs in shirley to buy some new glasses, so glad I did, service was extremely professional, Gary helped me with my choice which was a lovey pair of designer frames, they arrived back super quick within 2 days, very pleased with my experience instore and Gary's service.

Direct specs, just great!

Excellent specs and customer service

This is the third pair of specs that I've ordered from you. I've been really pleased with each pair, quality and customer service is excellent. I've had vari focal lens in two pairs and my most recent pair were sunglasses with my vari focal lens in. They're excellent. Thanks very much.

It must be easy if...

Having used Direct Specs previously but always by going to the shop armed with my prescription and letting the technician do all the measuring etc, I was somewhat cautious at the prospect of placing an order online all by my little self.
What was I worrying about? The process was made so simple that even I managed it, with nothing more than a tape measure and my prescription. Maybe I've been giving far too much credit to the shop technician all these years.
Ordering the size of frames, inputting my prescription needs and deciding on lens package was made easy by all the information needed to hand, guiding you through the process. Could not have been easier!
I know that's only the ordering process and the proof will be in the result, but I'm confident in DirectSpecs delivering as ordered, never been let down before.

Ordered specs with light grey tint in…

Ordered specs with light grey tint in one pair and they sent clear in both. Wanted me to send back but to much trouble. Although postage would be refunded. Use reliable company next time. Forgot to mention that website said the frames my wife chose were suitable for varifocal. 2 days later received message to say they weren't. Asked if they had any similar so was recommended a very similar pair which I agreed to. Specs came and they were a little to big, after checking I found out they were mens frames. Ok for a spare pair until I buy more. BEEN ON WEBSITE AGAIN LADIES GLASSES EDGE E3021 & IT CLEARLY STATES SUITABLE FOR VARIFOCALS.

As per our email correspondence, the offer to examine the issue with your tints and re-make your glasses free of charge still stands, as does the commitment to covering any postage costs in full. Please note, all frames that are unsuitable for varifocal lenses are marked as such on our website, as is the case with the frames chosen in your original order. The three frames suggested as an alternative were to match the style and price of those frames, so we’re disappointed to hear those you chose aren’t suitable. Again, this is an issue that can be addressed should you choose to accept our offer to review the order. We hope to hear from you soon.

I received the wrong pair of specs and…

I received the wrong pair of specs and it took a further 2 weeks to sort this out. I had to send back the wrong specs at my expense. They say they'll refund the postage so we'll see.
The correct specs are fine once I finally got them.

Brought some varifocals this week

Brought some varifocals this week , frames are great but the lenses are awful .Distance vision is a tiny box outside of which is simply a blur , dangerous for driving .As for reading and short range , forget it completely unuseable ! Hopefully i,ll get a refund but i have my doubts . For now im stuck with my old pair as i cant afford over £200 for more
