Won't deliver for 8 to 12 weeks

I ordered a single issue of a publication. They processed it and said it was available. But when I tried to read it, they say it will take 8 to 12 weeks to receive. This is an outrage!

We do not sell single print issues of magazines. We only sell print and digital subscriptions, as well as single digital issues. Yes, the 8 to 12 week estimated delivery does apply to all print subscriptions.

This company is what is known as a…

This company is what is known as a subscription trap. I have attempted to contact them to cancel subscriptions because I found out they automatically renew at a much higher rate. This was not explained initially. I have contacted the Apple Card people and will wait for their results. I also plan to contact the Ohio State attorney General‘s office for consumer fraud, and let them know what has happened. Evidently, this is a common ploy unknown to me.

I was able to locate both orders you had placed earlier this month. It looks like you were able to successfully cancel both of them, and were fully refunded after contacting us. Keep in mind that you can cancel both via our website, DiscountMags.com, and contacting us on our customer service line, 1-800-673-8187.

As for our DiscountLock policy, we do not automatically renew at a much higher rate as you have stated. You can view the details at the following page displayed on our website:

"DiscountLock ensures that your subscription will automatically renew with a minimum discount of 10% off the list price at the time of each renewal. If for any reason we cannot offer this discount, we will notify you and won't automatically renew your subscription."

Keep in mind that you can also cancel the DiscountLock at any time so it does not renew, either via our website, email, or phone.

Fast and friendly service

When I called all of the lines were busy. I left a message. Often when I leave a message with a company I don't hear back for a few days. Jodi called back within minutes! I needed to cancel some "automatic renewal" subscriptions. She was so happy to help and took care of it efficiently! I highly recommend a "raise' for Jodi!! Karen

At times, if the name and address do not exactly match the order on file with the publisher, it causes a new account to be created and duplicate issues to be delivered.

I see that our customer service team has informed you already that they have sent a request to the publisher to combine the accounts. This will not result in a shortened subscription. You may receive 1 more duplicate, but after that you should only receive one issue per month. If there is anything else we can do for you, or if you need more information, please let us know.

That DiscountMags.com is a 3rd party company

I tried to change the Delivery name and address for the Us Magazine to coincide with the People Magazine in which I ordered at the same time. Your system allowed me to correct the address but not the name. I then requested assistance via e-mail and was informed that I had to call Us Magazine directly and was given the number to call. As per the representative that she talked to, she informed me that she could not change it and that I needed to have you change it because DiscountMags is considered a 3rd party company. I sent this message to DiscountMags via e-mail and am waiting for a response. I have been trying to change this since I placed the order on 1/3/2024.

Make auto renewal an option, not a requirement

I was unable to renew because you now MUST sign up for auto renewal. As a senior, I won’t do that to my family. Very disappointed.

Prices for subscriptions are great

Prices for subscriptions are great. My renewal dates did not match up and they worked with the publisher to fix it. I got updated often while it was being sorted out.
