I won't know if things worked until…

I won't know if things worked until magazines begin to arrive (or don't) so it's premature to ask how things went.

But one mag is arriving. I placed my order on Dec 21. The first issue is the December issue, and now the Jan issue has arrive. But the address label says it "NOV2024" which is okay if it goes thru the November issue.

I understand it is frustrating to not receive adequate service and have to wait for something you've paid for to be delivered. I was able to locate your order that you placed at the end of December. It looks like you may have accidentally ordered the digital version of your magazine. Please note that digital magazines are denoted on our website with a large blue banner saying "Digital Delivery," as well as in the title of the magazine in parenthesis, as well as on your order confirmation email. I do see that you first contacted us via phone appr. 1 week after this review, and we promptly cancelled and fully refunded your digital order.

Wealth of magazines and ease of ordering

My experience was great primarily because of the ease with which I was able to subscribe to a magazine. Quite honestly, I did not know Discount Magazines existed until I was somehow directed to your site while in the process of ordering a magazine subscription. So glad your site became available. I am hoping my order works out well. And, if it does - which as a first time user I must take into account - I will order again. I am impressed by the breadth of magazines you offer. Thank you!

I was able to locate your order that you placed in mid December. Please note that the 8-12 week processing time applies to all orders and renewals. I understand it seems like a long time, believe me if we could expedite shipping to customers we would, unfortunately since we don't mail the magazines directly we have no real control over it. Our estimated delivery dates for your first issue are between 02/13/2024 and 03/12/2024. Keep in mind that these are only estimates, and your magazine may come sooner, as all magazines are shipped by the publisher. If you don't receive it by that second date, be sure to contact us ASAP. This information can also be found in your Order Confirmation email that we sent you when you ordered., which I have gone ahead and re-sent.

Revised to Not Disappointing

Original: Digital downloads require an account/subscription with a specific reader. This was not disclosed during the purchase process. If it had been disclosed I would not have purchased the download.
Revised: I am in error about the required reader and would like to retract this review. Discount Magazines explained the reader to me and how its use was disclosed during the purchase process. I made a mistake in not reading the details. And Discount Magazines was very gracious in refunding my money.

Jan - all digital magazines purchased on any website or platform ultimately require an account to access. We disclose it on the product page on the "Instant Start" Icon. Also on the product page, it says "It says Powered by Magzter" Ultimately you do not have to download a reader or app, you can also read the magazine on the Magzter website using your browser. I'm happy to provide you a refund if you're unhappy with the access method.

Stellar customer service!!!!

I've had excellent customer service through an email exchange and cannot say enough great things! Price beats the direct magazine company pricing every time. And their customer service is top notch.

Tony, you can find specific back issues of OUT at https://www.discountmags.com/magazine/out-digital/back-issues My apologies and you are correct in that you can't search back issues on the site search due to the fact that we have hundreds of thousands of back issues for all the various magazines we carry so adding them to search would create a very poor experience. We make them available through links on the main subscription. We'll look into ways to make it easier to find!
