My personal injury claim has been dragging on for more than two and a half years, and the handling of it has been utterly unacceptable.

Communication is dreadful. I have repeatedly gone weeks or months without any meaningful update and have had to chase constantly just to find out whether anything is happening. I submitted a formal complaint and specifically requested confirmation that it had been logged, a copy of the complaints procedure, contact details for the Complaints Department and information about transferring my case. DLG has not even had the basic professionalism to reply.

I have now undergone three medical assessments. The most recent expert specifically said I needed nerve-conduction testing to establish whether the nerves in my arm and hand are functioning properly. I was eventually sent for an MRI, but I still have not received the nerve testing that was recommended. After all this time, I remain without a clear diagnosis, prognosis or explanation of what is actually happening with my claim.

These delays are not a minor inconvenience. My injury has affected my ability to work, contributed to the closure of my previous company and reduced my income. Despite the serious consequences, the case appears to receive little or no attention unless I repeatedly chase it.

In my experience, DLG has demonstrated shocking communication, painfully slow case management, a complete lack of urgency and no apparent accountability. Even a formal complaint has been ignored.

I would not recommend DLG Legal Services to anyone. Avoid them.

This the legal firm for Direct Line and based both in South Africa and England. From start to the finish of my car case they were difficult to get a reply from and made a complete mess of the information given to them. I will not be insuring with this firm again.
