I went to see the anker wood at Dobbies Atherstone. 2 years ago when I discovered this natural area, , it was beautifully maintained, and serene, clean and looked after. I cam today after 1 year, and I am shocked. The place is filled with fishermen, trees cut down and left to rot in the water, dirty, uncared for, etc. What an absolute disgrace, this was a nice place and I used to love how peaceful it was, now I am. Never gonna go back. Gutted!

We were no.17 in a queue for drinks and more customers behind us. Customers ordering breakfasts and having to wait for drinks while their breakfasts were going cold. Terrible service, needs sorting. This was Atherstone, Stapleton is just as bad

Other than having Waitrose concessionary everything is else is of quality. I don't like having things rammed down my throat as a fate of comply. The butchery and all other areas our customer focused although your staff could be a little bit more friendly when they walk amongst customers.

Staff are great, helpful and very personable.Prices are very expensive in garden centre and should be reduced. The food in the restaurant is good though the coffee should be nicer. The queue in the restaurant can get very long, especially for drinks and the second drinks position needs opening on a regular basis. The staff on the one drinks position open are always run off their feet. Joining the loyalty scheme is worth it for the 2 free drinks every month as it gives a convenient and cost effective place to meet friends for a catch up.
Waitrose foods are stocked which are more pricier than the Sainsburys that used to be there but no better quality. Dobbies should look at bringing back Sainsburys.

Verbally abusive cafe staff! I write this review a little late, 2 years on my 8 year old daughter still recalls the cafe staff that swore multiple times when serving us she reminded me today.
The elderly cafe staff member with dyed red short hair when speaking other staff said "we f**king stopped serving chips 15 minutes ago. Plus multiple other foul words in front of my two young children. Needless to say we left immediately and complained, although that didn't seem to have any impact. We haven't returned we go to elsewhere instead, where we are not made to feel disrespected.
It would seem the problem remains to this day as the reviews on trip advisor are awful!
For reference it was the mancetter garden centre.
Sort your staff out Dobbies their ruining your business 🙁

We visited Atherstone Dobbies today as we are staying nearby but we were not really impressed. I know it's towards the end of the plant season but found many of the plants were not in good condition. We had a meal of jacket potatoes & salad in the restaurant but unlike other hot meals which were taken to table these are not included in table service. There were far too few staff & so by the time we had queued & arrived at a table they were nearly cold -- very disappointing. There was only one girl serving the meals & taking meals to the tables which resulted in a queue building up, not her fault but bad organisation .

Fantastic butcher.
Great that pavers is now there.

The ambience is great and the staff are really helpful

Good friendly service @ the cafe & check out.
Always good to have a shop here.
Did buy a few things in the sale.

Good selection of plants, groceries, clothes, cards books etc

My husband and I enjoyed tea and cakes in the cafe, the staff were so helpful. And after refreshments I browsed around the plants and added to my collection.

The cafe to start with always great coffee and great food. The plants, the choices, and the prices always good thank you,and the friendly staff

Grossly understaffed, so very long queues. Tables filthy and not cleared. Finally found a table, put our coffees down, put my arm on the table and it slewed over spilling a large amount of our drinks into the saucers and table top. Told a near by lad who was collecting trays and he shrugged and pointed to the serviettes. I stuffed a wadge of folded napkins under the leg so at least the same didn't happen again.
...still, bought a lovely blue geranium though!

We had a lovely afternoon tea at your Atherstone branch the lady that looked after us Samantha excellent a credit to your company.
