Beautiful store with so much to see
Excellent food hall and cafe was fabulous

Gardens good and plants fine. Cafe lets it down. Meals cold as the set up for meals and coffee should be separate queues Cafe a bit dated
Have been to Gemells garden centre more often as the meals are good and hot order at counter and table service not that far to travel I’m not the main gardener

Just popped in for a free coffee. The staff are always so friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed my birthday treat, bought a lovely handbag and got some bedding plants but you did not have any cucumber plants.

I purchased an Alps 4 seat Garden set in 2019 from Dobbies Ayr branch, delighted with my £800 purchase at first. By 2023 I noticed the top of the table was starting to split and pretty much disintegrating! Contacted Customer Service and they didn’t want to know…just out of the 4 year warranty and completely unfit for purpose and actually downright dangerous. They still have these sets on sale…albeit very slightly different and now with only a 3 year warranty. I have just noticed an identical review on here for the same item. I hope this prevents someone else having the same awful experience

Visited the garden centre for plants.good selection and prices good as well.on that day some were reduced so that was even better

Dobbies garden centres have always been a tad more expensive, but we have usually enjoyed their cafe/restaurant. This most recent visit, however, was a disappointment. The food is even more expensive then every, and the sizes of some of the portions has gone down. Personally, the size of the meringues is not good. My wife also had a problem with the toasted tea-cake, which was very hard and not at all fresh. The staff are as pleasant as every, but the food on offer has both shrunk in size and gone up in price.

Toilets should be cleaner maybe they should be inspected more regularly.

Unfortunately, every time we go through the checkout we always have to question the price of at least one item, the cost charged does not reflect the one displayed either on the item or shelf, this is a regular occurrence.

I went to one of the once a month short classes. This one was on Soft fruit. It was very interesting and the boys answering questions were very knowledgeable. I took lots of notes and would certainly recommend attending these as each month they are on a different subject.
My only complaint was it could have been better advertised.

The teas and coffees were high quality as usual. The down side is that they are short staffed and queues were long.
