Cafe and plants v good but ladie's toiliwere out of order

Coffee and cake at dobbies! Good coffee , good service , and a choice of two gluten free cheesecakes ensuring we return soon again. Clean tables at a busy time of day and a lovely member of staff who rushed after me to return the raincoat that I left on my seat.

We enjoyed our free coffee and got it at the machine. My cappuccino was very lukewarm though my husband's americano was fine. However I took it back to the proper coffee counter and it was refilled, much better and hotter than before. No complaints and no bother, service with a smile.

My visit to Dobbies, Ayr yesterday was to buy some food and renew my reward card for another year. The assistant was very pleasant and helpful.

Dobbies at Ayr is a nice place for a relaxing cuppa and cake. Plus you can enjoy a wee shop for plants or something else that takes your fancy.

A great store with lovely staff. Now on our permanent shopping radar.

Had lunch in restaurant which I notice has dog friendly section. Food good value for money. Thoroughly enjoyed meal. Bought some indoor plants and compost.

Was looking for specific tomato seed ( which you didn't have) and ended up buying a couple of reduced plants - both great bargains!

I was delighted by the range and quality of all the garden supplies and other goods on sale at the Dobbies, Ayr. Staff were helpful and welcoming.

Only visited with friend for Cappuccino and look at plants for any bargains. Toilets, which my friend has reported on numerous occasions have not improved. Coffee was just the way we like it.

Super customer service as I left my mobile phone on the check out counter and the operative ran outside to the car park to find me and return my mobile. What a star!!!

I frequently go Dobbies for garden supplies and often go to meet family and friends in the restaurant. I am constantly frustrated with the haphazard system of getting your coffee or tea. The switching across the room for a handmade cappuccino for my elderly mother and then collecting my tea from the other side of the room while carrying the food tray which is often not big enough to accommodate everything we need! We then have to queue again for the till to pay which is often busy which means standing with full cups of coffee and pots of tea. There must be a more user friendly way the space could be utilised to limit the amount of waiting and queuing required before you even get a seat. My mother has mobility issues so she will go and find a table while I dart from pillar to post collecting all our order. Very frustrating.

Excellent staff but problems with the product. I bought solar lights -£19.99 and they didn't work. Returned them a couple of days later and replaced them. Same again. Had to go yet again to Dobbies. Third time lucky but bought a different brand.
I spent quite a sum on other products each time and felt three visits to eventually find a light that worked was a nonsense.
The staff member - I got to know her 😄- was very helpful ; it was the product that was at fault.

Had a nice cup of coffee in the restaurant,bought bird seed,and a couple of plants in the sale.Always friendly staff,and got some extra points.All good.

Got what I was looking for, staff polite and efficient.

There is one big bugbear and that is there must be a lot of waste of perfectly good plants.
The manager should assign a member of staff to ensure plants that have fallen over should be righted. Watering should be done more regularly to minimise loss of perfectly good plants.
Probably half an hour for the righting of plants and regular early morning or late watering of plants.
