First time we have been here for breakfast in years and won’t be back. The seats are dirty, the food came on cold plates so the breakfast was cold no black pudding or beans available alternative to beans was an extra tomato not the best alternative! Asked for extra toast this was also cold. The only positive thing about it was the staff they are very friendly and helpful.

It was busy in cafe/ restaurant we were offered to go to the cafe coffee bar at the back of room so we didn’t Que for long !
My friend is gluten free it would have been helpful to have a Gf sign on the cakes etc to help her make right choice!
However the assistant was able to find out quickly what was GF suitable

Visit to the cafe today at lunchtime. We’re greeted by and served by very friendly/professional gentlemen. Enjoyed our coffee as we waited & waited & waited, then chased up our food order an hour after placing the order only to receive an inedible baked potato under a congealed blob of melted cheese and coleslaw & couscous which had clearly been under a hot plate for an hour. Food poisoning on a plate!

Still expensive and not enough staff. Waiting times to get served not getting any shorter.

It was a year since last at Dobbies. The service in the restaurant was so bad we decided it was not somewhere we wanted to be. Returned last Saturday and it was dreadful. Two lines at the Tea & Coffee Station were at least 50 customers deep and moving so slowly it took 35 minutes to be served. The issue appears to be that the managemnt do not work at the weekend, with the result there is no one in charge to attend to the bottlenecks. It will take a change in ownership of Dobbies before I could consider going back.

The staff are all friendly and helpful as usual. We shop there at least once a month.

Although you were able to offer 2 gluten free cakes they are not separate from other cakes. This can cause cross contamination which would have made me very poorly. PLEASE keep gluten free cakes well away from gluten containing foods

I love visiting Dobbies, however I and others are saying the same thing, ever since you have installed those push button Coffee machines the Coffee is warm at best. Remember we have to get Coffee to the table, take our coats off eat our cakes etc.
The staff say they cannot change the temperature which is rubbish I have a DeLonghi and I can adjust the temperature, your machines are more advanced than mine.

Always lots to look at, flowers, plants and also lots of clothing, books and toys

I used my free drinks vouchers with a couple of breakfasts. Great value and food

I was only at the cafe. They are incapable of making a really hot latte!!

Great selection of good quality plants … restaurant very good staff are excellent but no system in place to Tip the staff. Shame on you dobbies otherwise I would give 5 stars 🌟

The ladies in Customer Service Edinburgh Store are just so very lovely and helpful
