A mistake at the till which led to a…
A mistake at the till which led to a bill that was just over £12:00 to large.
Mistakes happen, the staff at the till were great and sorted it, BUT, each item wrongly added (there were 6) had to be removed separately, rather than just cancelling the whole bill and starting again. Seems odd and long-winded?

Dobbies is a pleasant place to visit It is friendly, clean and safe. They have a good selection of plants. Also good gift ideas and their restaurant are very nice with a good selection of good and drinks.

Normality returns
Things are getting back to normal in the restaurant with cakes now out for self service and buzzers to collect food. Menu is not extensive on main meals but good range of sandwiches, panninis, toasties and jacket potatoes etc.
All Christmas things now on display but a bit expensive although I suppose things like trees and decorations can last for years.

Coffee & Brunch...…
We popped into the store for a coffee and brunch. We had 3 breakfast rolls which were ok, a slice of cake which was satisfactory, although it wasn't a large portion for the price. Having had a lengthy wait at the counter, when we left to find a table. We had to search as most of them were covered in used utensils & crockery. The clear table we did use we had to clean with our own wipes. There didn't appear at that time to be anyone in a rush to clear the tables and keep the area how you would expect it to be.

Uncleaned tables

Be prepared for hairy mac n cheese.
Only come here if you have a spare day. The service is at a snails pace. The service and processes are PAINFUL - be prepared to queue. Macaroni cheese comes with free hair and dubious looking chips.
Overall we’ve survived. Not coming back.
