Dobbies Garden Centres - Lisburn Reviews 296

I purchased some log rolls / for my garden. When I got them home and opened the roll it was very dirty and all green. I spent several hours scrubbing them . I had a gentleman coming to erect them. So I had to pay him for standing around while I cleaned the panels b4 he put them in position. I was very disappointed that this had happened. If I had known how dirty they were I would not have purchased them. I feel that if they had been stored indoors or in a shed this would have prevented the rain from them.

Dobbies is one of the nicest shops to browse, stop for lunch. I’m in it at least once a week, love it.
Very helpful staff and massive choice in all departments.

No problems with the gardens aspect or the shop, was disappointed that the Coffee Shop had little, or no, gluten free foods. We can get the pre-wrapped snack bars in any newsagent, supermarket or convenience store.

I enjoy going to Dobbies and they do have a wide range of stock but it can be very spotty. On this occasion I went to buy three specific items but none were available

I went for the advertised " big Summer sale" but was a little disappointed by how little was actually in the sale. Not a wasted trip however as I did buy a couple of plants....just gave to decide where to put them now!
Have to say that the enticement of the gift voucher was a clever marketing ploy which I "fell" for !

I got what I needed, plus a few more items I didn't! I enjoy a good wander around Dobbie's as the shop is well laid out and the variety of goods on offer is impressive.

We decided to visit the restaurant prior to the other departments within. The time was approx 1245pm. There was a lack of choice of hot and/or cold food. We decided to have an egg sandwich. Whilst it was being prepared we noticed the price - £6:50p each. This did not come with a side. £6:50p for two slices of bread and some egg mayo. We cancelled it and will not eat their again. Daylight robbery.

On Thursday 21 July I bought two beautiful chairs from Dobbies and late on the Friday afternoon I decided I would like two more but I knew I couldn’t make it down before closing time. I then decided to phone them but after ringing for a considerable length of time all I could get on the phone was engaged. I intended to go down early on Saturday morning but I knew I also had a prior engagement so after 6pm I decided to email them. I had a number for the chairs but no name so I was able to quote the number.

On Saturday morning first thing I received an email from Alan the manager requesting the name and picture of the chairs so I took a photo and forwarded it to him and in turn he came back to me to say they had five of this particular chair left so I replied asking if he could keep me two. This suited greatly as I was able to continue with my appointment and deliver my grandsons birthday presents as well.

When I was leaving home I emailed to say I was in my way. On arriving at Dobbies I approached this gentleman whom I knew worked for Dobbies and explained about emailing the manager when he then informed me he was the manager. I had bought two red chairs of which he had kept over for me. He then went and got the chairs, took them to the till and even carried them out to the car on which was a wet miserable morning. It materialised Dobbies phone lines were out of order and wouldn’t be fixed until the following Tuesday morning.

I couldn’t have been more appreciative or thankful for the service received and can congratulate Alan for going above and beyond his service he also did advise the best way to contact Dobbies is by email as has proved on this occasion.

Had food in restaurant. Fish quite over cooked and service quite slow. Seemed short on staff
Experience in rest of store better

I got some lovely plants and a beautiful hanging basket at a really brilliant price the service was verygood and staff were very helpful with advice on what plant food I should get which I was grateful for the help.

Staff were very helpful helping to get my purchases onto the trolly. staff at check out very helpful as I had forgotten my Dobbies Card but they were able to look it up on the system so I got my points!

Great selection but can’t get any advice think the sales people deliberately stay offside

Garden centre accessories good but restaurant food could be better Quality and prices for pastries, £2.50 plus for one German biscuit along with the norm luke warm coffee.
If it wasn’t for the free coffee with the Dobbies plus card I wouldn’t go to the resturant.

We love Dobbies ! But recently it has become very expensive . I know everywhere has seen increases but we noticed the price somethings have doubled .

Visit to the Lisburn Store.
We were really pleased by the quality of food in the cafe, Plants and Other Items in the store. Have been many times ans hope to visit many more times.
