We visited the cafe it was a little…
We visited the cafe it was a little disorganised no scones out on display and when the scones were put out the member of staff did not have gloves on nor did she use tongs , instead they were in boxes on the counter that wasn’t open with 2 members of staff filling a fridge. I’m also disgusted with the way dirty tables are cleared using a very dirty looking trolley and staff walking passed these tables and ignoring them. In the time we were in there were several dirty tables with customers moving trays of dirty dishes to clean tables. Not sure if we will go there again when compared to the cafe in the Edinburgh branch and the absolutely brilliant staff and service we get there.

What a fabulous customer experience we…
What a fabulous customer experience we have had at Dobbies of Morpeth.All the staff and especially the smartly dressed man in the suit ( assume he is the store manager) have been so helpful as we couldn’t fit our purchase in the car! They even kept the box to re-cycle for us. In an age when so many store are closing we hope that you continue for a long time as we as first time visitors will deffo be back !

Afternoon Tea

Darren made sure our afternoon tea was a pleasure.
We had booked afternoon tea (Sunday 20/11) and the restaurant was exceptionally busy but Darren who sorted out a corner table for us and served us pots of tea while the three tier stand of food was brought out worked very hard to ensure we had a very positive experience. He asked us if we required an additional pot of tea each (one of us we did) and we saw he worked non stop during our visit. Given the very busy conditions in the restaurant he ensured our visit was a pleasure. The food was fresh and tasty and good value.
