Dobbies Garden Centres - Shepton Mallet Reviews 292

We had our first free coffees recently having joined the Dobbies club. They were very nice. It was good to see a gluten free are with a lovely carrot cake and various scones. They were really nice. It would be good to have a sign in the area to say it was all gluten free. I know the staff are busy but I just wish they would clear and clean the tables when people leave the tables. It would look so much tidier and cleaner. Not good having to clear the table yourself

The plant selection was very impressive however the restaurant has let you down again. The counter staff are still very slow and some preferred to talk to each other and eat Maltesers rather than serve us customers.

Lovely products, helpful staff, quick checkout and excellent lay out. Looking forward to going again soon!

After a much anticipated visit to Dobbies I just have to say that the state of the toilets was disgusting! I had to look in about 4 before I could find one that I could use and I wouldn't have used that one but matters were quite urgent! They looked like they hadn't been cleaned in days and the cafe was not all that clean either. I know that there is a shortage of staff at the moment but come on guys! And there is a pandemic as well. I certainly will not be going back there in a hurry.

Helpful staff, well informed when I enquired about plants and a lovely meal in the cafe.

We love dobbies, would be nice to be able to haggle a bit on the garden furniture, we would have bought the Florence fire pit set if they would have knocked it down a bit.

Not all non cooked food options on show when queuing and coffee not as hot as we like.

Always good choice, like the cafe and quality of the food provided

Went for a wander round and coffee with friends. Thought I had unused drinks from earlier accumulated from my membership, only to find these had been taken away without my being aware! I can understand the need to clear out ones that were outstanding, but I have on many occasions been unable to have my free drinks, Examples being tills not working or huge queues, when I queried this I was told don’t worry, we just keep them for you!

I only go to Dobbies at Shepton Mallet on rare occasions as their restaurant is so poorly run and queuing for tea and coffee often takes a very long time. It certainly isn’t a relaxing experience and to go along with that the restaurant area isn’t very clean. This is all a shame as the garden centre part is very pleasant.

Shepton Mallet site is extremely good with ample space throughout the centre.
The restaurant is a pleasant area for coffee and eating. Plants always look good healthy and can be value for money. We try and visit at least twice a month but is nearly 45 mile round trip for us.

It was rather slow at checkout as only one operating .

Great value .

Very helpful and pleasant to deal with.
