We visit here often.

We visit here often finding staff always helpful. Usually get what we need but think that the centre could do with a bit of a facelift.

More than just a garden centre

Had a great visit recently. Plant stock of good quality and plenty to choose from. Restaurant had a wide range of options although a little slow at the tills (only reason why 4 stars and not 5). Visited other shops too.

There was a lack of trolleys at entrance, resulting in doing shopping in 2 visits (inc carrying a bag of lawn treatment on a shoulder).
Cafe was def a bit chaotic for the staff working around a loaded trolley between tills.

Need more staff

A regular visitor to Stapleton Dobbies ...mainly for the Café. Good food for OK prices but under-staffed. Main wait is for coffee. Can be queuing for twenty minutes. I suspect it is a recruitment problem rather than policy.

Could not find any staff to help with questions so we brought less plants. Had scones in the cafe which were so dry they fell apart. By the time we would have queued to take it back our drinks would have gone cold so we just left it. It was not edible at all. Very disappointed with our visit this time it will be a long time before we go back.

Plants are expensive

Plants are expensive. Lots of plants looking past thier best. Compost is expensive. I think the majority of plants particularly house plants, do not represent value for money

Thank you so much for your review, I'm really sorry you found our pricing expensive. We try really hard to provide pricing that represents the high quality of plants we have on offer. I have passed your feedback over to the relevant team and asked them to review your comments. Thanks, Lorraine

I am giving 2 stars because I find

I am giving 2 stars because I find
It's to expensive at Dobbies now and
To much commercialised. The plants
And scrubs are over expensive compared
With other Local Nurseries.
