Ever since Emma was assigned as our company's dedicated accountant, we couldn't be happier with how it is going.

Emma has pulled out all of the stops, with regards to getting our accounts in order, we're aware of how much extra work this has involved, and we really do appreciate it.

Our experience of Dolan, and especially Emma is now second to none, and would recommend them both to anyone looking for an accountancy firm to look after their accounts.

My personal experience with the accountancy has been generally good. They seem to have encountered some challenges in recent times to source new accountants when employees leave the business, and subsequently, there may be a delay in the firm responding to you.

I do now have Thiviya who has been assigned as my personal accountant. Communication with her has been relatively easy and general service has been satisfactory.

Noor has been super helpful and always friendly. She’s easy to reach whenever I have questions and make the whole process stress-free. Really enjoyed working with her!

Very good accountancy firm that provides professional advice, friendly team that managed my company business account and always prepare year end account and VAT returns well ahead of submission deadlines.

Noor has been assigned as my dedicated accountant through Dolan. Within a week in the role she has already identified a number of actions that I can take to immediately return value to myself as Director of my Ltd. She's conscientious, detail-oriented and absolutely clear in both the legal positions and documentation of processes to be undertaken. She's very talented at explaining concepts and strategies for efficient tax handling to clients in an approachable way. She has already returned the cost of my Accountancy package back to my accounts several times over, and I couldn't be happier. She's a credit to Dolan.

UPDATE; My previous review of Dolan gave them one star based on an experience I had with them in 2023. You will see my original review below. I left Dolan and started working with another accountancy firm. I missed using FreeAgent and I missed the regular contact that I had with Dolan despite the issues I had with changing accountants several times in a very short space of time. They did have a lot of issues with staff, but after speaking with them after leaving my one star review, and explaining the reasons for this I decided to return. After now being with them for three months, I can say that it must’ve just been one of those things. The service I’ve received on returning is excellent. The FreeAgent app is excellent and I have started to recommend Dolan to colleagues, as I think they do provide a very good and more importantly good for value service.

Lovely people but cannot run even their own business. I was with Dolan for less than a year. In that time I had three separate ‘dedicated accountants’. Something is clearly going on within the business and this is effecting their service and ability to retain staff. I had to complete my own self assessment as discussions around how to complete it were lost when the second accountant left. I would advise that you avoid using Dolan.

I moved to Dolan in May from another accountancy that’d I’d been with for many years and already within this short amount of time I have received such an amazing service in all aspects from the migrating over to them, to the day to day and even annual reporting.
Both Emma & Lucy have constantly been supportive, proactive and very reactive with anything that is required or queried.

They quickly respond with all information and go over and above to provide support and clarity to my requirements.

I wished I had moved to Dolan many years ago so I would highly recommend Dolan to anyone if you are looking for a highly professional, supportive, fast & efficient friendly accountancy.

I have been with Dolan for over three years and can only recommend them. Steven has been such a help on my journey of setting up my own company and running it on a daily basis. He not only does all the accounting bits, but also advises me on IR 35 status of my contracts, which is super helpful.
The team at Dolan and especially Steven and Emma are complete stars - they are super organised and helpful and very responsive (which has saved me once or twice when I have forgotten a deadline for submitting something). I can wholeheartedly recommend them.

We've been their client for a few years, but we decided to change. On several occasions they made mistakes that had to be fixed afterwards (VAT return, payslips, etc.), that would have costed us thousands of pounds if not caught by us. Overall, we couldn't rely on them, which is a must for an accountancy.
