Dollar General’s new store located near…

Dollar General’s new store located near the historical Terlingua Ghost Town of Terlingua Texas and Big Bend National Park is not only a eye sore to this historic district of Texas, it is also a reminder of the urban blight that infects our country side. Rude, arrogant store managers who has no doubt evaded US immigration laws, refuses to speak English, treats customers as potential thieves, (probably due to her childhood environment) Customer service is definitely not a factor or requirement with the whole of Dollar General stores.

I was in this store a week ago shopping…

I was in this store a week ago shopping for Door Dash. An item listed said "near entrance of the store". After looking around for at least 3 or 4 minutes I asked a very friendly young lady clerk. She brought me to where the item actually was which was way in the back of the store, nowhere near the front entrance. I continued shopping and had one item left and it was a four pack AA batteries. I found where all the larger packs were and asked the young lady who wasn't dealing with anyone else, standing at her register waiting for someone to come up to check out. Pretty basic question, the store manager asked her if I was with Door Dash, she said she didn't know. I politely said "yes" I am with Door Dash. She snapped at me saying "we're not here to do your shopping for you". I couldn't believe my ears, and told her if they had the right location on the app I wouldn't need help[.
Anyways I was sent there again today and once again the first 2 items were not near the entrance. I ,looked this time for 10 min's or so. The same manager walked by several times and even heard me asking a man stocking soda's. She has a very obvious bad attitude. So I called Door Dash corporate to get unassigned from the order. They asked why and I explained my experience there last week, and that I was being ignored by the only person who I could ask for help. I told them please do NOT ever send me here again. And she raised her voice and said to get out of her store and angerly came at me pointing to the door saying "get out and don't come back". I will not ever go back to that store. Who would ever think that asking for help would be so triggering, a new experience for this near 60 year old man.

Dollar General in Hiram Georgia is not…

Dollar General in Hiram Georgia is not smart. Whoever is the buyer should be fired for not doing their job. They never restock the Fair Life chocolate milk, and it sells out in a week or less, but they let months go by and never notice. They keep restocking the milk that just sits there. I check. Now I go in to check for the Fair Life chocolate milk, and it is never there in months. So, I been driving to Douglasville to get it and they saw it flying of the shelf and raised the price about 50 cents. At least their buyer pays attention to their job. Now I just go to Ingles, and we buy nothing from Dollar General anymore and they are less than a mile from home.

I used to enjoy shopping at dollar…

I used to enjoy shopping at dollar general, that is till my last experience in Latexo, TX. ESPECIALLY when things clearance, it definitely helps a stretched budget. Recently fall went to 99% yeah!! Not yeah I spent my time going thru the items that were 90% and purchased several items. However when I got home looking at receipt I realized I was charged the 70% off pricing. Immediately returned to store ( time lapse bout 15 min) I spoke with employee that checked me out & explained simple math & was told she could not do price corrections to return in the am & speak with manager, which I did & she told me to bring the items back to store, I did not have time then but asked if I could do so next day & was told yes. & That she would be there. When I returned the next day the manager was not there &:the employee informed me that the. 90% signs had been removed & 70% was back up. I purchased the items because they were supposed to be 90% savings. U bought the. When the signage said 90%. Does dollar general like to scam their customers in this manner?? Apparently so and they should be fined for false advertising at the least. Shame o on you dollar general!¡

Store #15740 in Hooper, Nebraska. The store is a mess. It’s hard to even maneuver with a cart through the store. Also, when we were checking out, the cashier Cyrus was not friendly at all and I had to finish bagging the stuff we bought. Not a great experience!!!!

I experienced a very unnecessary and…

I experienced a very unnecessary and negative exchange with the cashier....a Mexican guy with huge beard.

I have gone to this location for the past two years without incident, until now.

My purchases came to $65.37, so as I was collecting the money out of my purse...20.00...20.00...20.00...5.00...1.00. This cashier person got upset and stated that I guess that's the way you treat everyone?

I was shocked...ok. What's the problem... ?

Why you didn't give me the money in my hand?

What? I was taking it out of purse in increments and putting it on the counter.....then picked it all up and gave it to you.

So...what's the problem?

He definitely was looking to argue over this as I repeatedly said to him "that I was not interested in continuing this conservation and requested that he simply give me my change and receipt".

Finally after multiple requests and throughout his continuing bickering "about absolutely nothing", he gave me my change and receipt.

This "person" should never be allowed in customer service as a cashier or "otherwise" as his skills are inept and socially inadequate to perform in this capacity!

In conclusion, I do not appreciate this "kind of treatment" !

Thank you!

Dollar General never runs your coupons

Dollar General never runs your coupons. Yesterday in Albertville, AL… Peggy was so mean. I asked her if my $25 off $5 ran and she said $18 came off and $4
Came off.. needless to say, my $5 didn’t come off and it’s all the time. You have to check the prices too because they charge more than the price posted which is false advertising.

Dollar General on HWY 341 S

Dollar General on HWY 341 S. Hawkinsville is the address says this is a FedEx drop point. I entered the store with a package told the cashier I was dropping off and they took my package and set it down with other packages behind the counter in front of the tobacco on the floor. I waited and waited for Apple to send me verification that my device was fixed. I contact Apple yesterday and they said they never received it. I stated I used the mailing label they provided. They asked if it was a store or drop box I told them where and they said to contact them.
I then called the store a gentleman asked me what it looked like I told him rectangle box one the shape slides would come in wrapped in brown paper. He looked and couldn’t find it. I told him if my IPad didn’t show up we would have a problem. 5 minutes later he calls me back with his manager yapping in the back how she had my Ipad they opened the box and threw the box away. First of all the label had my return address and name on it. Secondly the iPad had 2 pages taped to it with my Name Address Phone Email Claim Number and my card info: I go up get the iPad and I am locked out of it I don’t know the pin which means they put a pin on it. The District Manager calls me and says it was a mistake and it was sitting in the box in the office on a shelf the entire time. I said which is it the box was thrown away or you still had the box with all my info? I said well I am locked out of it Someone put a PIN number on it she said no they didn’t. She had humor in her voice like this was entertaining as she was defending them and their actions. Then she said she would meet with me and pay For more postage. First off I can’t send it to Apple with a PIN number on it that is why it was totally reset.
So now here I sit, with my iPad I can not access, the District Manager is entertaining and relaying lies. If this doesn’t get fixed I am out of a $300 iPad that was for school and Dollar General doesn’t care their District Manager just called again saying they called the employee that I gave the box to to see if he put a pin on it but he hasn’t called back. She will be in the store Friday Morning if I want to meet her or have the police meet her. I have to bring my dad to the doctor so I won’t be able to be there which means she can keep blowing off the situation and continue to not take any responsibility for her stores actions and I am out of $300.

I went to a dollar general in my…

I went to a dollar general in my neighborhood because they were closing down and had a 50% discount for whole store. I was in for a shock when my total came to $77 but I was need of those items. I later found out that they marked up the prices beyond retail and then sold it 50% off the price . In addition the man who I thought voided one of the items did not void it and I end it paying it twice for one item. Later on I pointed it out and said that I was charged one item and he said he could not do anything about it. Disgustingly! Now I see why there a class action lawsuit towards this company. They are snakes in the grass with prices.

Great store #25561 on 11/01/2026!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to store #25561 on 11/01/2026. I have NEVER seen a DG as clean as this store is!!!!!! Destiny was the associate that helped me. Wish I had had her when I managed Sprouse store in Carmel, CA. What really surprised me was all the merchandise was on the shelves and not on the floor. I don’t know what you pay them but I am going to try to get my friend to hire that staff for her store.
