Bought on the basis that the phone would be intuitive and simple to use. The reality is very different! The phone has a will and life of its own including deciding to go into 'Aeroplane Mode' or 'Safety Mode" making it useless and needing technical support to return it to functionality. The steps needed to do anything are cumbersome, far from intuitive and too lengthy. The predictive text is excellent as is the technical support if you're prepared to hang on for it.

You people are amazing what happened to customer service a simple problem to rectify something like a battery becomes a jump through hoops for the customer designed to put off any cost to Doro. I am 78yrs. my wife has stage 4 cancer I need a reliable mobile for medical emergencies, I have already stated this to yourselves to solve this problem is a replacement battery that's all. I think you must have disregarded all of that information because you consider this to be a tale, to get my own way, bloody hell! I have better things to do. Doro are in the business of producing mobiles for the elderly and Doro are fleecing the Them.
It a disgrace.

BEWARE of this what could be a good company.
Initial agent and email communication was great.
The phone was for mother who after few days could not get to like the phone and so was returned. Main issue was camera button to low so leaves nowhere to hold the phone without pressing something by accident and she said felt too big for her hands.
However, this is where ALL the stars for service etc. fall off.
Return policy:
They stated via email that although receiving the phone via EVRI. They ONLY process warehouse "around" 20th of each month. Since they did not get phone till 25th of June - I must wait till 25th of JULY to get processed and THEN begin refund.
DISGUSTING and goes against UK consumer law and is overly delaying. Also, they did not even contact me to say they had the phone on 25th - only after I emailed today to find out what going on. They never previously mentioned about their crazy return process and no wonder.
I have contacted my bank to initiate Section 75 against them as well as informing them via email reply to this riddiculous email from them about waiting for processing till 25th July.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - after this BS with them it switched what could have been great to 1 star. The only way they will learn or change their policy is by learning hard way it seems.

Anyway - so now again - ONCE recieved at their warehouse they issue refund. Its already been delivered by EVRI and they PROCESS warehouse ONCE a MONTH - so seems NO change just trying to sound pleasing whilst being evasive with terminology.
Even the email I got from them says - Will be done shortly... Yesterday that was and Still nothing even pending to come back to my account.
VERY SAD they are not just sorting it out and being 100% transparent here. Clearly playing for time and undue delay in refunding. Very poor system and is being reported in UK since goes against laws.
Section 75 has been initiated by myself as a fallback. Continued delay will result in more social media sites having such TRUTHFUL reviews of this case along with looking to take legal action for interest on each day delayed.

Really should have been this simple to begin with and not told all the above and needing to put up review here to get looked in to since their idiots on actual Doro email were ones giving me such replies.
Why is it only when they get exposed do they sort things out - its like people who get caught always have the most excuses. Its simple and ONLY because you got caught or exposed.

I am adding 1 star for this being resolved but, its only resolved now as should have been at beginning without the excuses and mix ups, BS or whatever you want call it.

It a shame you lost 3 stars but, I stand by what I said to serve you a clear reminer to learn from for future customers. This was a big let down and if had been dealt with properly would have been such a glowing different review.
Whatever this once a month warehouse process you have going on and only refunding due to this once a month NEEDS to change! Along with your email team being aware and treating customers better - a refund now can still mean a sale in the future if handled correctly.
Its time for change, truth and transparency.

Ordered a phone for my elderly mother. Over a week after the money had left her account there was no phone. The operative said the courier had delivered but the photo in his words was not much use, simply showing an unidentifiable fence. Doro wanted us to sign a form stating we had not received it, which I was surprised at but complied. They then said the electronic signature was unacceptable (I don’t have a printer so emailed it ) and suggested I walk to the nearest library to print and try again. Becoming very frustrated at their refusal to accept we had not received the phone I refused, as I understand that the courier is their responsibility and by now my mother is very upset having no phone and feeling she has also lost her money. Several calls and emailing using their contact form have yielded nothing. They do not get back when promised and the form appears to be ignored beyond a standard automated reply. It is now almost three weeks and we have nothing. My mother would never have coped with trying to contact them, and I must admit I’m very angry and upset at their behaviour and the amount of time spent trying to get a resolution. As a firm who make much of supplying phones for the elderly this is appalling service.

Appalling customer service. Staff that don’t follow up on what they say they’re going to do.No communication. Items out of stock but nobody tells you. Have to make loads of phone calls to get refund.

Rang customer service twice to ask why the battery was running down quickly. After telling them we’d purchased two from Amazon ( returned first one to Amazon because of the battery ) , we were advised only to buy from Doro and not Amazon as theirs are old stock.
Tried to ask more questions which they wouldn’t answer and the second person put the phone down on me. Rubbish customer service.

Bought the Doro 2820 for my elderly mum. After receiving 13 simple sms text messages the phone says storage full and won't accept any more incoming messages. When I called tech support Doro said just 20 texts can completely fill the memory as the 4g capability takes up most of the memory. Never had this problem with her previous 5 year old Doro. Absolute waste of time and money.
Edited to add: I installed an SD card 3 months ago and it made absolutely no difference to the number of texts I could receive until storage was full; still just 20-30 texts maximum. SD card provides further storage for media, not SMS, so pointless advice from Doro.
