I have read the criticism of £ for a slightly low-power unit, but that missed a key point for me - good UI is a skill and effort has been put in here. So far I've had a mixed experience with the android OS, but that's the same as when I tried dad on a Nokia, not Doro' issue. I am quietly confident this will work for mum.

very good, no notes - the trade off of functionality for battery life is great - others could take note. I got this cheap from a reseller so keep that in mind, but this is 10/10 for me

We had the 3G smaller lighter Doro so stuck with the brand offering at Tesco.
Very disappointed. Retrograde model.Bigger,heavier.Poor battery life.
Poor camera images.
Difficult to address text messages.
Network coverage worse.Try a different one. Not the L20!

Bought a phone cover online. It cost £20 and was very flimsy plastic. I could not find a way to phone DORO or an address so I sent an email asking for a refund. I have had no reply ans have no way of returning the cover.

The phone is really much more difficult to operate than I expected. Very difficult to answer. It's supposed to be for older people and other friends have also found this. Very sad.

Excellent helpful customer service. Esy to use website to purchase accessories for your phone. We are older people and just upgraded to 4G with our second Doro phone which is better than our previous ones. Very happy customers and would recommend DORO phones.

The Response App on my elderly mum's phone isn't working. When I tried ringing the helpline there is just a recorded message telling you to look at website or email, then it hangs up. I emailed the issue and it takes 36-48 hours to get a reply. Each time they just asked for more info then just told me to call the helpline. I had already explained is not working. They advise to call at less busy times but I've tried a range of different times and get cut off at all of them Besides, I dont live with my elderly parents so only can sort this when Im with them and their phones - their suggestion of calling only on Wednesdayor Thursday afternoons is hardly practical! So more than a week later and I'm no further along.
The phone is sold as being a simple solution for elderly people. It's anything bit simple getting things fixed when they stop working

Disappointed I couldn’t choose another courier co. The only one Doro use are incredibly unreliable. Say they tried to deliver and haven’t been anywhere near my house and other endless problems. Suffice to say I didn’t place an order. Other shop retail outlets didn’t stock the model I wanted. Please consider offering customers a choice in future.

Good communications with company. Easy to order and return.
Bought it for my mum who has some cognitive impairment and dexterity issues. She's a senior. used to a Samsung galaxy but finding phone use now tricky to navigate. Doro advertise their phones as good for seniors and easy to use but sadly the 8100 is not. Didn't sit properly on its dock so it would not charge easily. Icons did not lock on home screen like they do on the galaxy so could be easily deleted or modified when holding down for prolonged time. Sound quality was inferior to galaxy or my google pixel so she couldn't hear voice calls clearly.

The phones do not work, they won’t charge and can’t even get a dialling tone. Complete waste of money and huge disappointment to elderly partially sighted customer.
Eventually was sent details how to return for refund. Sent the phones back on 1st August, received by Doro on 6th August and as at today 19th August have heard absolutely nothing from Doro. Their customer service appears to work no better then their phones,, steer clear!
