I have to say that your online system…
I have to say that your online system feels quite chaotic. Waiting up to 7 days for a delivery is way too long by modern standards. Also, the checkout process in the app is very confusing – specifically when selecting a DHL Packstation. It constantly resets or shows redundant shipping information instead of providing a clear summary. It’s definitely not as intuitive as it should be.

I placed an order with Douglas including perfume, foundation, BB cream and a gift set, plus free samples.
Instead of my full order, I received only one wrong and defective product. It was damaged, with an unusual blue liquid inside and a strong smell, and completely unusable. The rest of the items were missing.
I immediately contacted customer service and provided photo evidence. I was first told to return the product in order to receive a refund. However, I live in Azerbaijan and returning the item with a Germany-based DHL label is not possible.
I explained this several times, but Douglas insisted on the return and repeatedly redirected me without offering a real solution.
I was later informed that the warehouse claims the order was correctly shipped, and responsibility was denied. Eventually, the case was closed without any refund or proper resolution.
Due to safety reasons (5-month-old baby and pets at home), I could not keep the defective item and disposed of it.
I have lost both the products and my money, and no fair solution has been provided despite full documentation.
I am requesting a full refund for the entire order. They must refund my money.

Your responses are inconsistent.
At first, I was told to return the defective product in order to receive a refund. Later, responsibility was shifted to the forwarding company. However, the forwarding company calculates shipping fees based strictly on parcel weight before forwarding it to Azerbaijan. I paid a very low shipping fee because the parcel weight corresponded to only one small item. If my order had actually contained the perfume set, foundation, BB cream, and samples I purchased, the parcel weight would have been significantly higher. The package was addressed in my name and arrived as a single-item shipment. This clearly demonstrates that the order was already incomplete before it was forwarded internationally. This is not a forwarding issue. This is an incorrect and incomplete shipment issue. The goods I paid for were never delivered to me. Shifting responsibility does not change the fact that I did not receive the products I purchased. I expect a full refund for the undelivered and defective order.

At the beginning of this process, I was informed that I could return the defective product for a refund. Later, the responsibility was shifted elsewhere and the refund was denied without any practical solution.
It is difficult not to see this as unequal treatment. When a case involves a customer located outside Germany, the approach seems to change from resolution to rejection. Customers should not lose their consumer rights simply because they live in another country.
As a customer, I paid for specific products and did not receive them. The matter remains unresolved from my perspective.
I leave it to readers to decide whether this reflects fair customer service.

As mentioned in our previous emails, the shipment left our warehouse correctly and was delivered to the delivery address in Germany that you selected. According to our investigation, there was no damage caused during transport or to the packaging.
How the package was subsequently handled during the rest of its journey to Azerbaijan is completely beyond our control. We cannot accept any liability for shipments that are independently forwarded or rerouted outside our shipping area.
We ask once again for your understanding that we cannot accept any responsibility for the shipping route to Azerbaijan handled by third parties.
