Unprofessional, dishonest, and untrustworthy. Avoid this company.
I was genuinely excited to sign up for this group trip, but I’ll admit I was hesitant at first. There were no third-party reviews available online, and many of the promotional images looked like stock photos rather than real experiences. There was also no company page on google where reviews could be left either, but I just assumed it was a newer company and that they just hadn’t gotten around to making the page yet. In hindsight, I wish I had trusted my instincts and realized that it was intentional.
Once on the trip, it became very clear that the main priority of the host was promoting herself and her brand — not hosting her guests. She spent the majority of the trip having participants take photos and videos of her for her social media content and constantly asked the group to send her their own pictures and videos so she could use them to market future trips. It felt more like we were unpaid content creators than valued guests. She also spent quite a bit time talking shit about whoever was not in the room, which would lead to a lot of problems later in the trip.
But the most serious issue — and the reason for this review — is nonpayment and broken promises. The host ended the trip owing every guest refunds for expenses she said she would cover, and it took several follow-ups and outrage within the group chat to get the owner to send us refunds.
Specific examples include:
• A cooking class she canceled last-minute, claiming the grandmother who normally hosted the class couldn’t make it so she cancelled because she didn’t think the replacement would suffice. Some of the girls within the group went ahead and signed up for the class on their own since it was on Viator and had a lovely time with the professional chef who hosted the class. No alternatives were offered in place of the cancelled class as it was the last day of the trip. The host essentially ended her responsibilities early and gave up leading the group.
• During a group lunch, she walked out early without paying, leaving one of the girls to pay. This was absolutely bizarre considering every time we checked out of a hotel, she would harass everyone on WhatsApp about charges to the room from the hotel bar.
• A group taxi ride that she was a part of, yet she was the only one who didn’t pay, leaving the girl who booked the taxi to cover her.
• She harassed the group over a $9 hotel charge, while at the same time saying it would take her one to two weeks to refund others — even though she profited thousands from the trip.
In terms of hosting, there was very little structure or support. She would leave the group to find transportation themselves, even late at night coming back from the bars where she was in attendance. She barely led or facilitated anything beyond a few activities — all of which were booked from Airbnb Experiences or Viator. There was no customization, no insider access, and no added value. Anyone could replicate this exact itinerary on their own for half the cost.
And let’s address the claim of “luxury.” That label is wildly misleading. The hotel accommodations were basic, and nothing about the experience reflected the elevated, high-end travel that was advertised. This was a standard, no-frills itinerary wrapped in a luxury price tag — with the added stress of having an unreliable, self-centered host. By the end of the trip, we were hosting ourselves.
What made the situation even worse was her reaction when people began raising concerns. Rather than owning up to her mistakes or handling things professionally, she chose to play the victim, accuse paying clients of “mean girl” behavior (while she had spent the trip gossiping about others), and completely ignored the real issue: the money she said she would pay but took forever to send.
This wasn’t just a poorly managed trip. It felt exploitative and deceitful. When someone takes your money, fails to deliver what was promised, lies repeatedly, and refuses to issue refunds, that’s not just bad business — that’s fraud.
Do yourself a favor: don’t book with this company. Save your money, skip the drama, and plan your own adventure. You’ll get more for your money, and you won’t be left chasing down a refund from someone who shouldn’t be in the business of hosting travelers in the first place.
