Pre-paid car not available on the day
At the time of collection, the person at the desk just said that there were no cars available despite being a car that I had booked a week in advance.
They claimed that they had informed the travel agency that I used to make the booking (Expedia) a day earlier but there are no records of that. On my Expedia account, everything seemed to be fine so I believe that they did not do it. The person also claimed that they did not have my phone number to contact me directly, which I believe is not true because when I used Expedia to book a car with a different company, they did have all my details.
In summary: No car was given to me, no alternative was offered and I was spoken to in a rude manner.

Customer Refunds
I’ve been chasing a refund from Drivalia for over three months now. Due to an clash with their closing times and picking up a car with no communication. Despite multiple follow-ups, they’ve opened and closed three separate cases without actually resolving the issue or returning the money.
Every time I contact them, I’m told it’s been forwarded to a branch manager, but I never hear anything back. The lack of communication and accountability is incredibly frustrating.
This kind of service is unacceptable especially when all I’m asking for is a refund I’m owed. I wouldn’t recommend this company based on my experience.

Don was very welcoming, informative and polite. We were looked after and felt like valued customers. Loved the banter; made us feel relaxed after a delayed start to our flight to Edinburgh.

Easy and uncomplicated process
I came to the branch in Edinburgh city centre with a request to hire a car the same day. As expected the prize was quite high, but Rob was very helpful and found their cheapest prize for a car the next day that was acceptable. This was a very smooth and easy car hire process, compared to other places that I visited that day.

City Centre 1st Class Service
Have used Drivalia (Easi Rent) for many years - always used Edinburgh Airport office until opened City Centre branch which offered contactless hire. Both of these options offered a brilliant service.
However, recently the City Centre offered a ‘staffed’ office which provides an exceptional service managed by Rob who exceeds expectations. A mention as well should go to Harry who often steps in to cover and once again provides exceptional service. Thank you Rob for the efficient and friendly service which makes me a repeat customer.

Lovely staff member
My wife and I had our first booking with drivalia, we where served by a lovely gentleman called Rob. He was very polite, and had really good knowledge of the many questions I had. The car was lovely and well presented, we had a great trip up the north of Scotland for a few days. On return the hand over with rob was simple and efficient. We didn't feel rushed away and he told us local places to go eat. I will definitely come back if that's the kind of service I received. Thanks Drivalia. Keep up the good work Rob 👏

Damages charged which were already on the car at pick up
The process of booking the car and picking it up in Edinburgh went very smoothly, excellent service.
However when receiving the final invoice, they charged me for damages that were already present on the car. I had clear photographic evidence but still they refused to pay me back the additional amount of +200€ they charged to my credit card to this date.

it was already very complicated when taking over the car, but nothing compared to when we got a flat tire. it took 7 hours before we could hit the road again, but we had to pay for the tire and the work ourselves. subsequently we also received an invoice for the assistance service and their administrative fee (whereas they only gave us a number and said they could not do anything about it). however, the main problem was that there was not even a spare tire in the car, and the temporary repair kit (for driving to the service) was empty. even based on the photo, they did not recognize their mistake and sent the invoice for collection.
I recommend avoiding this company. because the rental price is low, but the level of customer service is also low.
