Best Ever Experience
My experience with Drivalia was absolutely the best ever. There is a person named Raahil Muralidharan in the Edinburgh City Center branch and he is the kindest person I have met ever. He did something so kind that saved my entire trip to the Lake District in England. I will never forget his gentle nature and exceptional service to customers.

Rob went above and beyond to help us with our car hire. We had to change cars in Newcastle and he phoned ahead to make sure everything ran smoothly which it did. 100% happy and 100% recommend Drivalia. Great customer service. Thanks Rob 👍

Wish I could give zero stars
Wish I could give zero stars. This is the Edinburgh Downtown location.
Reserved a car through Booking.com and had confirmation from Booking as well as a welcome email from Drivalia.
Despite this, the clerk claimed my reservation was not in the system and let me know at least 6 times that it was a bank Holiday and they had no cars.
They had a box with dozens of keys, but they were all reserved for the next day. He let me know there were no cars available on all of Scotland for the holiday and they were having to get cars delivered from England to meet the demand.
I suggested he give me one of the cars he had in stock and then when he had his cars from England the next day, he could rent that to one of tomorrow's arrivals.
He said he couldn't reach his boss because they are at level -4 in the underground garage and hed have to go all the way up top to get signal. I stared at him for a minute and said "I think you should do that, dont you?"
While he was gone, his young colleague somehow managed to get through and they agreed to release a car to me. At over £900 MORE than what my confirmed prepaid booking was for.
Claimed that Booking.com did not forward my reservation to them so could not honor my prepaid price and could only rent to me at that day's rate. And its a bank Holiday, dont you know. Nobody in Scotland would have a car available.
Oddly enough, we went to another company and mysteriously were able to get a car right away.
Scammer and con artist!!!

We’ve been waiting for 1 1/2 hours at Edinburgh airport pick up and drop off, which was 1/2 wait and 15 min journey in itself from the airport. The staff will not tell us how much longer we have to wait, people are getting angry and they don’t care. It is one of the worst car hire experiences I’ve had and I’ve not even made it to the desk and got a car yet!

The pickup point was close to Waverley Station. The staff were friendly and attentive. As the administration was being completed we had a good chat and they decided to give me a free upgrade. (It pays to be nice and respectful as a customer)!

Surreal service: 3-hour wait to get the car
My friends and I booked a car on Saturday 9th May, at 10.00 am. We got the car at 1.00 pm: 3 hours waiting in the underground car park standing, no signal, pure surreal situation of having around 20 bookings all at the same time, only 1 Drivalia agent (Florence) who dealt as best as she could, without having a single break. The 1 star is only for Florence who's stayed calm, apologised for the inconvenience, and dealt with the whole surreal situation as best as she could.

SCAMMERS
SCAMMERS. The company added £370 to our bill to change a tyre that they claimed we damaged. (we didn't) . They also have a policy of hanging on to your deposit on a credit card which you have to cancel or they will just hang on to it. They are dishonest and a very dodgy company. The car was not particularly clean and not in a good condition, then they aggesively overcharged for a damaged tyre. Avoid this company. We regularly go with Enterprise and have never had this sort of problem.

Drivalia - the only thing excellent was the staff.
The young lady on reception was brilliant dispute lots of difficulties with the system which, because of the location was cliching continuously. She was so patient with all the customers. She even had to shut the office to go to the toilet which was situated in another building. I’m not sure how she continually dealing with these issues - it happened with every customer! Flo is excellent and the only reason the rating is so high. It would be a one star!

WARNING Drivalia Dishonest Practice
WARNING: Avoid Search cheapest / Drivalia Dishonest Practices
I strongly urge anyone considering renting from this branch to look elsewhere. This was, without a doubt, one of the most frustrating and dishonest customer experiences I have encountered.
I booked through a third-party broker (Discovercars) and arrived at the branch well ahead of my scheduled pick-up time. Despite this, staff kept me waiting for over two hours with no explanation or acknowledgement. When they finally attended to me, I was told I had arrived late , an outright false claim, and was informed I would be charged a late fee. This is nothing short of a fabrication designed to extort additional money from customers.
To make matters worse, because the booking was made through a third party, Drivalia's app offers no "Manage My Booking" option, leaving me with absolutely no avenue to raise or dispute this concern directly with them. Customers are effectively left defenceless.
If you value your time, money, and sanity, please book with Enterprise, Alamo, or National instead. They maintain large, reliable fleets and offer a genuinely smooth, transparent rental experience. Do not let this branch take advantage of you the way they did with me.

Feels like a scam
I ordered a small van through a broker (which is a lesson learned) and when I turned up they said they wanted either £2,500 on my credit card they would hold for 30 days or an extra £100 a day for hiring the van. The cost was £180 for 5 days so imagine my shock when they wanted another £100 a day. Then it started to feel like a scam as the girl called her manager a said they could reduce the cost to about £40 a day. Then I realised they had the wrong type of van to what I ordered, so I just refused to proceed. I would avoid at all costs, it feels like a scam
I should add I felt sorry for the member of staff as she was on her own dealing with very angry customers as the man in front of me also found out he was expected to pay another £100 a day.

Avoid at all costs
Booked a car to pick up in good time before an important event I needed to travel to. However, waiting times with only one person working meant that I would be waiting well over an hour to collect the car I had reserved. I spoke to another customer ahead of me in the queue who had waited for an hour and a half already after their booking time. This meant I had to leave my reservation and get a pricey uber. There was no way to cancel the order despite Drivalia not fulfilling their end of their contract. Avoid at all costs!!!
