Daniel at Glasgow Airport went above and beyond to help me! At what was a very stressful time for me he was understanding and kind.
Easy pickup, very relaxed checkout, clear instructions and no hassle. Had a bus to pick up and take back to the airport that ran like clockwork. Would use again in Glasgow!
We now regularly use Drivalia when renting cars from Glasgow Airport. Prices are much cheaper than the on-site companies, cars are absolutely great as are the staff and the free shuttle bus transfer i... See more

We hired a car from Glasgow for 7 days but only used it for 6 days.
Great car almost new and great service.
The price was very competitive for the period and we were pleased
However when we took the car back we were charged an additional £60 (more than the hire fee) because we took the car in the Oban to Mull ferry.
This is frankly daylight robbery and I am disgusted. Most of the highlands of Scotland is only accessible by ferry so it is clearly a scam to increase profits. I cannot see any justification for this charge whatsoever.

Rented a car from Drivalia Glasgow Airport, for 9.30pm. They operate a shuttle to their off site location which you call for a pickup. When I called I spent 20 minutes on hold, then got an uber to their site, which was closed. With no car to take me to our destination I organised accommodation in Glasgow for the night, then called six times in the morning, spent a lot of time on hold but they didn’t pick up. When I did arrive at the rental site they had no cars available. There were three other people in the same position as me. They have not given a refund.

This was the worse company I have ever worked with in terms of renting a car.
They gave me a car which had faults and above that they were not friendly at all, based on my experience with racism, I was not happy at all.
I will never rent a car from them again and will never ever have anything to do with them.
My friends who were with me at the time were disgusted with their behaviour.

I waited one hour to be picked up at Glasgow Airport. Then another one hour to check in at the depot for the car. Then was told my insurance was no good and I needed to pay another £186 for the 4 days to give "Peace of Mind".
Then showed to a Hyundai Saloon instead of the MG SUV ordered and paid for.
15 minutes after I left depot and on the Motorway the cars rear bumper came loose. I left the Motorway and called the Recovery service who said it would be at least 4 hours to get to me so I called AA on my own account. Who patched the car up and I went home to find that I could not lock the car as the key fob battery had expired and the offside rear door handle fell off.
Next Day I drove the car back very carefully to Drivalia depot at the airport who told me no cars available and I had to drive the faulty car to another depot some 15 miles away.
I went to 2nd Depot and was now given a Renault Zoe another downgrade. I asked for a rebate and told not possible as this was not Drivalia's fault that the car had broken down. I pointed out it was certainly not mine.
I asked to return the car as it was not fit for purpose as too small for Pax and Golf Clubs for my weekend away. However they said not possible so it sat in my drive for the next 4 days.
I paid £320 and only drove 24 miles from airport to home and back again.
I flew home for a weekend's golf with friends and was unable to go because of Drivalia. NEVER AGAIN

Great experience all round. Easy shuttle pickup from Glasgow airport, and quick to provide my fully charged EV when I got to the office. Car was in good condition and a great price. Easy return, and quick shuttle back to the airport. Highly recommend, and Connor was especially great.

I been trying to email and call the glasgow office but neither email or phone can't be reached .
We paid top insurance of 370 stg and 1 stg to cover everything possible including fines .
Returned the car as agreed level ...surprisingly after 8 wks they tired to withdraw 60euros from my revolut account without explanation.
I'm still interested to see why but no email no customer care phone worked .
The Glasgow office phone works but nobody cares to answer .
I am waiting for drivalia glasgow to contact me
Regards alb

Never ever use this company. Please I implore you DO NOT USE. Booked for 10am pickup; unavailable until 1pm. Can’t get through to anyone in customer services, and when we did they were dismissive. Disgraceful. Avoid avoid avoid.

Was told the Axa Insurance wouldnt cover. Then put me in a position of having to pay £160 for their own insurance. I inspected the car which was full of scratches and was told its a hire car. The brake pads needed replacing at the rear, and the service light was on. rear left tyre was below the legal tread requirement.
First and last time i would use period!

I have used this car hire company a few times and found it straight forward and the staff (Daniel) super helpful and pleasant to deal with.
The shuttle service from the airport only takes a few minutes, I was worried this might delay my pick up but it takes no time at all.

How can a company refuse to supply a car when they have one available and the customer has already paid ? I have rented close to 100 vehicles over the last 10 years for both business and pleasure in both UK and abroad and the only company I have had issue with is Drivalia. I had used them a couple of times in the past and they can be ok but this is certainly not guaranteed. On one occasion I contacted them because my flight had got delayed and by the time I landed the check in desk had closed. Fair enough, so I got the bus from the airport to the centre of Glasgow and back again early the next morning only to be told I had 'lost' my booking and the only vehicle they had left was going to be another £90. Surely if a company has been paid for a reservation, they can't then sell it to someone else ? I had specifically told them I would pick it up the next morning if the flight didn't make it on time. I reluctantly paid the extra but I stopped using them for over a year as a result of this. I made the mistake of using them again recently. They are the only rental company I have ever come across that now require a second proof of address when picking up a car. A driving license, passport, credit cards and other travel documents are no longer sufficient - why ? They insisted on charging me an additional £35 'soft check' identity fee. What exactly this tells them I have no idea but I personally think it is a complete scam. I reluctantly paid this and completed the deposit on my credit card to proceed with the rental. After checking over the car I went back into the office and could clearly see than a French customer at the check in desk was having similar difficulties and I suggested they didn't used Drivalia the next time. The Drivalia guy then insisted on cancelling my booking and I was left without a car despite the fact that I had paid for it in full ! At no point was I rude and I didn't try to argue with him as I knew it was a waste of time. Don't be fooled by their apparently low prices - Drivalia are masters of extracting extra money from the customer at pick up - drivers age, incorrect documents, insurance hard sell, limited mileage you name it. The particularly prey on foreign renters maybe with limited English who frequently will pay whatever extra is asked to just get the job done and get out the door. I have witnessed this first hand on several occasions. Anyway, I will NEVER use Drivalia again and I recommend you think twice before taking the plunge. The advertised rental price might look attractive but there is a high probability you'll get hammered at check in. This is the only negative review I have ever posted about a company but it would have been a great disservice to other potential customers had I remained silent !
