Booked a car from Glasgow airport - really good service at the time of pick up and drop off. Helpful and flexible staff. No problems. Yes - a 10 min shuttle service to the pick up point but it means no additional airport charges. It was quiet so no real waiting time at either end for the shuttle. Have used Drivalia in Italy - but the first time in UK - will use again.

Staff are friendly enough but don't expect to get the car you booked. I've hired twice from them in the post 3 weeks and their idea of similar is no where near mine. Both times the car I received was of a lower standard that I had asked for, yet you still pay the same price. 1st time I rented Peugeot 2008 and got an MG, there is no comparison, 2nd time I booked a VW Tiago and got a Fiat Tipo which is no where near the Vw. I understand you don't always get the exact car you book, I have been hiring card for over 35 years so over the world, however you generally get a fairly similar standard of car. I don't feel this is the case with Drivalia.

The worst car hire company I have ever dealt with - AVOID at all costs! despite phoning to make the booking two days prior, and was assured over the phone, after the employee allegedly checked their system , a car would be available for me to hire . Phoned Drivalia Paisley 4 times to get them to pick us up from the airport - was told on the second call, the car we hired was no longer available but could give us an inferior replacement, reluctantly agreed as time was of the essence. Phoned Drivalia again querying why we still hadn’t been picked up - this company is a total disgrace and don’t care about their customers. That was nearly a week ago, still waiting for the transfer to arrive! Needless to say we went elsewhere on the day when it was evident they had no intention of picking us up! I would not normally post such a negative review. I read the mixed reviews before placing an order - wish I’d considered the consistently appalling reviews before making my decision! Just make sure you have Plan B if you book with this branch.

Very pleased with the service we received. The polite and chatty staff in the Glasgow Airport branch couldn’t do more for us. Great value, they recommended cover and excess upgrades and upgraded the car for no extra cost. The shuttle transfer provided was really quick and arrived in good time to and from the airport.
Would highly recommend.

Car hire downgraded from a SUV to Fiat 500 on arrival at the airport when requested transfer from terminal to car hire location. 3 adults and 5 pieces of luggage had a cram into an extremely small car. Other cars were available but wouldn't offer an upgrade of car even if I offered to pay more.

The car was useless for our purpose but due to the time of year (26/12) the rates with other car hire companies were too high to go with someone else. We had a disabled person needing to use this car for transport when in Scotland and we couldn't take her out as the car was too small to accommodate her or her wheelchair. The car provided by Drivalia completely ruined out trip to Scotland.

IT TURNS OUT A RESERVATION DOES NOT MEAN YOU GET THE CAR THAT WAS RESERVED, it's not even confirmation that you will get any car at all.

Payment has to be provided in full for the value of the original reservation and not for the downgrade and then you have to wait for a refund (still no refund after 14+ days after returning car). Staff couldn't care less about what they are doing and actually become verbally abusive if challenged! Any email to customer service is not answered or acknowledged and it seems to be all about turnover and profit and nothing to do with customer satisfaction.

Terrible company to deal - AVOID!!!

UPDATE - downgrade reimbursement was calculated by Drivalia at £1 per day yet on the website the calculation should have been £11.00 per day. No additional way of fighting this without engaging with lawyers.

I need to hire cars every two weeks at Glasgow and this approach has cost Drivalia many thousands of pounds that they just don't seem to care about.

Excellent Service and Price

Our car was off the road for a while and we found a great deal with Drivalia, price was by far the best we could find for a good sized family car. Received great customer service from Daniel on collection and drop off. Experience of rental firms has been hit and miss, but would be happy to recommend Drivalia based on my experience with them.

Horrible stay away they are scammers I booked a car for £315 and I arrived one hour late and was charged another £560 as they said due to bein hour late they have given the car to someone else which if they did they should have gave me an alternative rather than charging me for this so please be aware and avoid at all costs
I have already reported via manage my booking and they are not interested they do not give a flying monkey once they have your money

Do not use Drivalia.
Car not available when ordered a month earlier.
Very rude and told me to go somewhere else which i did having to pay a premium.

Good news was I got my money back

I had a terrible experience with this car rental company. Despite having already paid for my car, they gave it away and then tried to pressure me into paying for an upgrade. When I refused, I was told that the insurance I had already purchased online wasn’t valid in Scotland and I needed to buy additional coverage — which just happened to cost the same as the upgrade. This left me stranded on the side of the road unless I paid the unexpected charges. It felt like a tactic to force customers into paying extra fees with little choice. I am surprised to see all these recent 5 star reviews, but noticed a few in-between of similar experiences to mine. Overall, a very frustrating and dishonest experience. I would strongly advise against using this company.

After emails and emails back and fourth requesting a refund. The customer service does not even read the emails to find out what happened. Disgraceful service.
They keep suggesting if I want a refund, cancel one hour before booking.

I recently had a highly disappointing experience with (( Drivalia paisley branch )) . I had to cancel my booking due to unexpected circumstances and was shocked when Drivalia refused to refund my money. I understand that cancellation policies can vary, but i give them notice before but Drivalia’s lack of flexibility and refusal to consider the situation was frustrating and felt unfair.

Customer service was unhelpful, providing generic responses and showing no empathy or willingness to find a solution. This kind of rigid policy and dismissive approach makes it clear that Drivalia values profit over customer satisfaction. It’s extremely disappointing, especially given the countless other car hire services that prioritize their customers.

I would strongly advise others to reconsider booking with Drivalia paisley branch If you value transparency and flexibility, look elsewhere.

Worst experience of my life hiring a car for these thieving people I got charged for a new windscreen which I did not break. You could not see any cracks on the photographs but the guy knew exactly where to go and how much to charge they are thieves do not use them ever Glasgow Airport they stole money off me for a screen which was already broken thieving thieving People

Arrived at Glasglow airport, called and got a quick response and an even quicker pick up. Everyone was very friendly and helpful for both pick up and drop off. Car was reliable, clean and got me everywhere I wanted to go!

booked a car for my wife on line to pick-up from glasgow airport.at their office they asked for a credit card which she dose not have done a credit check which they told her she did not meet even though her credit score is 943 out of 999 .would not let her take the car unless she come up with 1500 pounds. and on top of that will not give a refund.never had this issue with other companies steer clear of this cowboy outfit

Great value for money, Gary was very quick and efficient on return of the vehicle and we were straight on the shuttle into the airport. Thank you.
