Absolute con, I would give 0 stars if I could. They advertise having a shuttle bus from the airport to the car hire location, however they don’t inform you how limited this service is. I landed at 23:30 and was told I would have to pay for an uber to get to the car hire before 00:00 or have to pay a fee. I got to the car hire location at 23:55, and the branch ignored my 3 telephone calls to open the barrier. After having to climb under the barrier I arrived at 00:01, and they charged be a late fee of £100. They then directed me to complain via an online form, which was then rejected by the branch manager with no acknowledgement of the situation.

Nice staff, Aarron and Kash were very polite and friendly. Reasonable price if you avoid the extra insurance. Cars are ok, clean, low mileage, but not always in the best condition.

We recently hired a car from Drivalia Car Hire Luton and had such a fantastic experience, thanks in no small part to Aaron.
From the moment we arrived, he made us feel genuinely welcome. He was warm, friendly and incredibly easy to talk to, making what can often be a stressful part of travelling feel relaxed and enjoyable. Once he discovered that we were originally from Zimbabwe, we ended up having a lovely conversation, swapping stories and sharing a few laughs. It was such a personal touch and made the whole experience memorable.
Aaron went above and beyond to provide outstanding customer service. He was professional, approachable and clearly takes pride in looking after customers. It's rare these days to come across someone who combines efficiency with such genuine warmth.
If this review reaches management, I hope Aaron receives the recognition he deserves. He is a real credit to Drivalia and played a huge part in making our experience such a positive one. We wouldn't hesitate to hire from Drivalia Luton again and hope we're lucky enough to be served by Aaron next time.

Ryanair car hire and Drivalia UK are a total scam!
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience booking car hire through Ryanair.
I prepaid **€251.66** believing this covered my vehicle rental and insurance. However, when I arrived at the Drivalia desk at London Luton Airport, I was informed that I would have to pay a substantial additional amount before I could collect the vehicle. I felt I had no realistic choice after travelling to the airport and relying on the booking. The Drivalia agent himself agreed this was a total scam and told me to file a complaint against Drivalia and Ryanair.
The booking process did not make the additional costs sufficiently clear, and the situation left me feeling misled and under considerable pressure.
I have been hiring cars for many years and have never experienced anything like this. Customers should be able to understand the full cost of a booking before they travel.
I would appreciate a response from both Drivalia and Ryanair Car Hire explaining why this happened and how you intend to resolve my complaint.

Very disappointing experience
Very disappointing experience. Although advertised as "London Luton Airport", the Drivalia rental office is not actually at the airport and requires a shuttle bus to an off-site location some distance away. This wasn't as clear as I expected when booking. After paying over £15 for a taxi to the collection point, I discovered I couldn't collect the car because only a credit card was accepted (a requirement I later found in the ‘voucher’ rather than being prominently highlighted during the booking process). I then had to pay another £15 for a taxi home, leaving me out of pocket for both taxis and the cost of a car I never drove. While I accept the credit card requirement was included in the terms, the overall experience was frustrating, inconvenient and unnecessarily expensive. If you're booking from Luton Airport, be aware that this is an off-airport location and make sure you have a credit card before you travel.

To ensure a smooth rental process, we provide information regarding our payment and deposit policies at the time of booking and on the confirmation voucher. For clarity, our standard requirements are as follows:
• Security Deposits: We require a pre-authorisation deposit on a credit card in the name of the main driver (starting from £1500).
• Debit Card Use: We do accept debit cards; however, this requires the purchase of an excess waiver package to reduce the excess to zero. UK residents using a debit card must also pass a credit check or provide proof of employment.
• Payment Security: All deposits must be made with a physical card with at least 2 months' validity. We cannot accept virtual cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or cards without visible numbers.
• Exclusions: We do not accept cash or prepaid cards.
