Very enjoyable and pleasant lessons with Alan J around the Bath area. Progressive teaching which enabled me to confidently past my driving test on the first attempt!
I would definitively recommend drive2us and Alan to any unexperienced drivers.

A weeks intensive course in Bristol with Mike. Cannot fault them in anyway. Sorted my theory with the practical test in one weeks of lessons.
It is a lot to get done in one week but if you are prepared to work hard and push on through it like I did then its definitely worth the effort. First time pass and a happy customer.
Cheers Mike for the help getting my license.

I decided to choose drive2us after seeing the deals listed on their site, and the good reviews which had been listed. I then phoned and received a text that day stating that they were 'not in the office at the moment but I can help arrange driving lessons. Can I take your postcode please?'. I provided these details, and the response was a price list, followed by 'Can I take your postcode please?' - I thought this was odd, but that the advisor had forgotten about asking. We then arranged a lesson for the following Tuesday, 5th February.
No-one turned up to this, so after waiting 15 minutes I decided to call the office, who stated that the instructor was not available due to sickness and that they were sorting through their appointments that day to notify those with lessons booked. I was offered a free pre-test lesson, which I accepted as a gesture of goodwill, and my lesson was rearranged for the following Tuesday, 12th February.
Again, no-one turned up. I thought that once was a mistake, but twice was unacceptable. So, I duly called the office and stated that my instructor had again not turned up, and that I would like a refund. The office apologised and said this would be arranged. This was confirmed via text.
On the 18th February, I messaged via text to ask what was going on with my refund as I had not received it. I was advised to email, which I did, on the same day; my email was never acknowledged.
I telephoned the office a week later to chase my refund (which I consider totally irresponsible behaviour by drive2us - it should not be down to the customer to chase a refund). I was told that the person responsible for accounts was busy and I would receive a call back. I never did.
On the 27th February I phoned the office at around 9am to again chase my refund. I was informed that the person was in a meeting until lunchtime and would phone me back then. I was not phoned back. I called at around 3pm to see what was going on, only to be told a similar story. By now it was clear that I would not be getting a refund by phoning up the office time and time again, so I spoke to my bank who advised me that I was in a position to dispute this via PayPal (PayPal was my payment method), or failing that, chargeback.
PayPal emailed stating that drive2us had ten working days to provide further details before the issue could be resolved. They failed to do so (am I surprised given how inefficient their customer service had been up to this point?), and as a result the case was decided in my favour and I was automatically refunded. I received the money this morning, three weeks after initially requesting it.
My experience with drive2us has been totally shambolic, and given other reviews on this website explaining similar situations, it appears to be a pattern. Further to this, I have evidence of communications and transactions should my review be written off a 'scam' by drive2us, which they have written on other reviews.
My advice to anyone considering drive2us is:
1. Find a different driving school.
2. Failing that, pay by card using PayPal or ensure your card provider has a chargeback policy. Otherwise, you'd be unlikely to see your money any time soon.
Just had an answer after almost ONE YEAR from my review regarding their awful customer service, after I booked a class and the instructor never showed up.
10 months later they've answer my review by saying I might be a Spam customer... they are trying to clean their bad reviews by assuming we are all spam. UNAVAILABLE!
I wont be sharing here the proofs of "me been a real customer "as they show personal details, but this company approach is just WRONG.

Smashed the test first time. Bev is a brilliant driving instructor. I am really very excited to have my license as quickly as I did considering I havent had any other driving lessons.

I am 33 and have been putting off getting my driving license for years now but recently I have taken a new job and I have to have a license within my first 3 months. Time Pressured!!
I booked the fast pass course online and having done my theory already I just went for it and nailed if first time. The instructor was really good and pushed me hard through the course but in a really positive and friendly way. Got my license and I get to keep my job providing the rest of my probabation goes ok but I have the license!! Really very pleased.

Sharon in South Bristol is amazing! I feel so fortunate to have found such a thorough, friendly and supportive instructor. All the prices are very reasonable for a big city. She's so understanding of each pupils learning needs - for example I love to write things down and take photos of positions to help me remember! If there's a waiting list for Sharon when you enquire - she's definitely worth the wait for.

Very very poor service. Booked a lesson, no one showed up. Attempted to call the office multiple times, was met by the same obstructive person denying we had spoken before, saying that both the "person who booked the lesson" and his manager were unavailable, before repeatedly asking to take my details for no reason. No one contacted me. No one attempted to re-arrange the lesson. Useless and rude.

Getting to learn to drive quickly is was important to me being an actor. I don't get much time between towns and move around a fair bit with the theatre so I needed to go down the fast pass route in a week.
I called Drive2us as they were really busy locally and I saw a few of their cars driving around. Gave them a call and paid upfront for a 5 day course which included the test fee and use of the car on the day of the test. Yes it was slightly more than normal lessons but I am very pleased to say that after the lessons I took my test and passed it first time.
The driving instructor was wonderful and drove a new BMW which I really enjoyed driving. Everything on the lessons was bespoke to my needs with the added flexibility that I required for my job.
I will be grateful for ever more as I was fed up with getting the train everywhere. Next stop of me is Torquey. See you at the theatre.

On April 3 2018, I contacted drive2us.com to book a block of 10 lessons for £189. Upon payment, I received no receipt via email or anything but the transaction showed on my bank statement and PayPal so I was not worried about proving payment.
I was told over the phone that an instructor will be arranged and contact me. No one did till the following day when I called back. On the 4th of April, I received this text
"Message from drive2us.com driving school. We can certainly help you with lessons but I am not in the office at the moment. Have you driven before? " (I will happily provide screenshot of this if necessary).
I was quoted the price, told about the discount and asked for my postcode.
I explained that I made the booking for my husband and that I already paid online (why didn't they know this?)
"Ok no problem. We can start from next week?"
To which I responded with "Yes please"
So on Weds 04/04/18 we booked for the next week Thurs and Fri. After 3 phone calls and voicemails, I sent a text message asking for the time.
On 16/04/18...
"Hi, I am not in the office but we can start from this Thursday at a time to suit you?"
After we text and reschedule for next week...again... I get this...
"Yes same time both days. Ok that's all booked for you. Just bring your lesson payment any your provisional license. Finally can I confirm your full name and pickup address please?"
I've already paid!!! This is the same phone number and conversation with the same person.
Anyway, I received a text from someone else
"Hi ****e you have a lesson booked through the office of Drive2us for April 26th at 2 it's been double booked with me is there any chance you can do any other days that week hours between 930 and 1130 and 12 till 2 many thanks C*******"
After trying to rearrange again...
"Also did u pay online as well what did you pay for one 2 hour lesson"
!!!!!!!!!!
After all this, FINALLY on the 23Rd! of April, 20 days later my husband has the first lesson.
Then follows a series of events where they're fully booked, could only manage one lesson a week, cancels that one lesson anyway because of a sick child, sick mother etc
On May 16, I received this "Dear Pupil,
Please note that all driving lesson cancellations are subject to a minimum 48 hour notice period. Any cancellations within this 48 hour slot will be chargeable at the standard lesson rate. All pupils are required to pay in advance for a driving lesson in order to secure a timeslot. By taking lessons with me you are agreeing to abide to these rules and the terms and conditions on the Drive2us.com website conditions-driving-school-bristol.html
Please reply YES to this text message if you agree to these arrangements? Thank you"
Confused. My husband had his third lesson on 21St of May. After more cancellations and missed appointment, I sent a message on the 13th of June and again on the 19th, neither of which were responded to. I then started contacting the office. They tried to get a new instructor who never got round to arranging the remaining hours. I started asking for a refund and they kept "taking a message for the accounts department".
They apparently pay your instructor on your behalf, if this is true, how could they afford to get a new instructor?
After several calls from my husband and myself, I get this text from the "director"...
Message from drive2us.com driving school. We can certainly help you with lessons but I am not in the office at the moment. Have you driven before?
Loooool same phone number as the 04/04/2018!!
I shared my complaint and was told the office will investigate. And get the instructor to refund me. I messaged the instructor relaying all this information... and guess what...
"That's fine if u contact the office they will sort that out and no I haven't taken any of your money it wasn't paid to me it was paid to the office not me unfortunately so u need to go through them because we didn't complete the 10 hours I also haven't got paid by yourself send them proof of payment to the office and they will sort this i haven't had anything from you paid to me"
AND
"I haven't had any money off the office and I haven't heard anything from the office either I can't give the office back something I haven't received from them unfortunately and I have bank statements to prove I haven't received anything from them then also I have messaged J**** just about this so it's down to them to sort it out I haven't worked and gave up in June to care fir my mum so they need to refund u that as I haven't received any money from them and I haven't even heard anything g from the company either"
AND
"Yh I haven't even heard a single thing from them about itbut I honestly didn't get any money from any of your lessons nothing was trasfered to me from you can u send them your receipt to show u paid them and not me please I have tried calling g J**** just and no answer and I have messaged him"
AND
"Spoke to J**** and he said he will get the office to sort it I've explained that u paid the office not me as well and that I haven't had any contact from the office and this is the first time I have heard anything about this I'm not longer training as a instructor no more as I am cari g for my sick terminal ill mum and I'm away of rest bite till next week with my her from McMillan as she terminal cancer so I am away till next week spending the times with her I'm afraid if the office contacts me I will speak to them regarding this and also tell them to either give u your 4 hours or refund you but J**** is very good and runs it so I have actually spoke. To him properly about this for you this morning and he will get it sorted and I also told him that the office said they have contacted me but they haven't j**** is away till next week also so u may have to just b a little patient with him till he's also back but he did say he is going to contact the office today for you althou he is away to get it sorted asap"
Drive2us when their own driver claims she hasn't been paid or contacted about my complaints, have the nerve to tell me not to post negative reviews or they won't deal with my complaint. And that I can either reschedule with a new instructor or have £33/35 or whatever as "Good will" as they will charge the 6 hours my husband received at full price!!!
What a joke. Save yourself the hassle. I'm going to the bank.
Thank you drive2us, being 7.5 months and moving house is not enough stress. Let's pop you on the list.
******UPDATE******
You claim I am spamming you, have you sent me my refund? No. Has the issue been resolved in another way? No. So keep your police threats to yourselves please. It's my honest review sharing the communication I received from the instructor you assigned. My review will change to reflect when the situation changes.

Massive waste of time with this company. DO NOT EVER BOOK WITH THEM!!!!!!!!! Still in the process of trying to get a refund. After paying, I have 3 lessons over FOUR MONTHS! and then instructor disappears. The office NEVER notified of any changes despite the driver assigned to me no longer being an employee. The customer service never has anyone to speak with you or call back and they always take a message for the mysterious accounts department. Always chasing some instructor to pay you back when you paid the company directly NOT the instructor. Stay well far away from this company. TOTAL JOKE! you were warned.

After a week of trying to rearrange my sons driving lesson, 12 phone calls, many texts and Facebook messages (all ignored) I've now given more than enough chances to call me and have asked for a refund.
This company is terrible and you should find someone else to learn to drive with.

Reply from Drive2us.com
Awful communication and customer service. Nothing gets resolved over the phone and gets "escalated" to a somebody who only texts you and does not pick up the phone (as later found out he is the director).
I have paid for an offer 2 for 1 and it took me about 2 weeks to get a lesson booked in. I arranged my lesson 1 month before (so well in advance) - 2 hours before the lesson my instructor pulled out justifying that his pupil didn't turn up so he wasn't gonna wait for me 2 hours! Now I have asked to refund me and since Saturday is getting "escalated" and Mr said to me that he certainly can look into it however I need to remove my review - DO NOT use this driving school as I am still battling my £25
I had agreed on a time and location for my lesson about a week prior and on the day I text to try to change the lesson to an hour later. They replied asking if I had had a confirmation call from my driver and I hadn't so I was then expecting them to sort it. But when they hadn't a few hours before the lesson I tried to contact them again to confirm what time my lesson was. I recieved no reply and I waited outside at both potential times that my lesson could be and they did not turn up for either time. When I rang them to ask what had happened I recieved an apology text and that they would give me a free lesson. So deciding to give them another chance I tried to book another but again no reply. Complete waste of my time. Just glad I didn't give them any money. Do not use this school.

I was left waiting outside my workplace for an hour. Terrible service, cancelling all my bookings and choosing a reputable instructor. I should have known it was a mistake when they asked for my home post code 3 times over SMS.
Looking at other reviews, im glad I didn't pay anything upfront.
I wouldn't waste your time.
