Never turned up / Refunded

Update to below - the new admin Andy has been extremely helpful and sorted my refund as quickly as he could.

Paid for 10 hours towards the end of October '17 to start in December. Instructor never turned up and I was told the booking was never confirmed with the driver.
Called, emailed and texted multiple times and was told on the phone it would be flagged as urgent for my refund.
Nearly 3 months on still no refund and had to take it to small claims court.

Highly recommended

Learning to drive can be a nervous and challenging experience for anyone. Drive2us were helpful, friendly and courteous, and put me at ease right from the start. My instructor helped me stay focused and relaxed, and gave me lots of positive feedback on my lessons, as well as recognising key areas we needed to work on. They were able to fit round my busy work schedule, and made sure we got the best out of every minute we had in the car. I left every lesson feeling I had achieved something, and could feel myself growing in confidence thanks to the instructor's advice and commitment to seeing me through to my driving test.
Drive2us were absolutely brilliant, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to encouragement and support with their driving lessons.

I've taken some classes with Instructor …

I've taken some classes with Instructor Bull and it was emazing. He fox on your weaknesses and try to improve them during the classes. Finally I'd like to mention that I've pass the test from first attempt after I followed all his advice tips.

Anyone want the best instructor you need to ask for mike he’s really good to get on with will teach you everything you need to no he’s made a massive difference in my life taught me everything and I passed 1st time can’t thank him enough.... I am pleased to have passed my test …

I am pleased to have passed my test with Andy in Bath. A terffic driving instructor and got rid of all of my bad habits.

First class driving school with really good prices.

Amazing experience

I have been learning with drive2us since late July 2017 with instructor Steve, he has been amazing with helping me to become confident behind the wheel, very enjoyable lessons, don’t think I would be as confident with anyone else.

Find a real driving school.

Find a real driving school. the 'instructor' is never in the office. That is because the office is a virtual office. Its a hired call forwarding service. When the instructor doesn't show up every time, like he did to me and so many others, by the reviews here, on google and their actual review site on the bottom of their webpage. He then says he has to get the office to refund. That is absolute rubbish. He doesn't have an office. He works from his home address listed on companies house and is nothing more that a con artist. I am getting my sons £99 back though paypal, like so many others too. Please people, don't do it.
EDIT: I have had extensive chats with the 'instructor' via text message as he will not answer his phone. I am happy to upload the conversation for anyone to see. We both know that I am not a competitor. I have my paypal transaction ID and proof of payment for the lessons you never showed up for. Calling the number results reaching your 'office'. Pointless.

We are disappointed to hear you were not satisfied with the service. We have tried many times to reach you to arrange your driving lessons but you were unavailable. As a result we then emailed you advising you to request a refund directly from paypal.

Worst company

Worst company, very unprofessional. In my experience, my instructor always rescheduled the lessons, spoke too much and my actual driving was just 20 min of 2h lesson.

I tried to call the central office and always said no one was available to process a refund.

Thank you for taking the time to place your review. Your feedback is important to us. We have spoken to your driving instructor about the events leading to your complaint.

As a new driver on your first lesson it is important that we familiarise you with the controls of the car and fully brief you on how to move the car away from the side of the road before we actually practise this aspect. We follow the DVSA guidelines and the national teaching standards.

It would simply be unsafe for an instructor to short cut this process as pupil safety is the top priority. If you continue with your driving lessons you will find that your driving time increases as you gain experience and understanding.

If you are unhappy then we will happily reallocate you to another driving instructor free of charge with a complimentary lesson. All of our instructors are fully trained and DVSA approved for your safety and deliver high teaching standards.

One of the best driving schools in …

One of the best driving schools in bristol. I had lessons with Mike on a refresher basis as I already passed my test 2 years ago.

As I hadn't driven for a long while I wanted to brush up on my skills prior to getting my own car. We did some motorway lessons which I requested and some town centre stuff. Great work and feeling much better about driving in bristol.

Enjoyed my lessons

Great service with Tim an amazing teacher. Always on time and he was always helping me by boosting my confidence that i intially was lacking.

5 stars for Tim and i have finally passed my driving test. Thank you very much for all of

Excellent service

My instructor is a super star. I had several driving instructors and over 50 hours driving tuition with other schools. I just felt that I wasn't really learning anything with my previous instructors but Tony at drive2us has been completely different. I have learned more with Tony in two hours than with the others in 50 hours.

I feel much more focused and ready for my test now. Thank you drive2us 😊

Very impressive service

I phoned up for lessons and struggled to find an instructor. Drive2us put me on their priority list and my instructor was arranged for yesterday. I really had a good lesson yesterday and I can't wait until the next one

A positive driving experiance

I had done one of the young driver courses so I wasn't a complete beginner so to speak but my local instructor helped me pass my driving test in 26 hours of lessons which I think is better than the average.

Prior to booking I had read a couple of bad reviews but this wasn't my experiance so I guess it really depends on the individual instrucror which can happen anywhere. Just get the lesson confirmation texted like i did and it will be ok.

My guy was fantastic in every way possible. I would recommend this company to my friends.

Drive2us driving school in Bristol

I started learning with the Drive2us.com and in just 2 months I had passed my test first time. My instructor was great; so helpful and knowledgeable when giving instruction. He always took the time to explain things to me in detail and as the lessons progressed I was able to take the controls and practice things which really helped. Also, we did a few mock tests during lessons in order to prepare for the test day, which I felt hugely reduced the nerves on the day itself! Overall a really positive and enjoyable experience, I'm so glad I chose to learn with Drive2us and would recommend them to my friends.

awful

booked for sons 17th birthday , didn't show up .Phoned to complain and got fobbed off but rebooked for the following week and surprise surprise didn't show up again>ITS JUST NOT ACCEPTABLE

Thank you for your review on Trustpilot.
I understand that you were advised at the time of booking that your booking was done so on a provisional basis due to the late notice of your booking. Your lesson was then rebooked for an alternative time but you failed to attend.

We do try our best to accommodate all short notice bookings but until the booking is confirmed by the driving instructor it is not guaranteed. I do however apologise that we have been unable to help on this occasion as our instructors were fully booked with other pupils.

Unacceptable experience

One of the driver, cancelled twice on the same day (1h hour before the lesson and 3h before the lesson) then stood me up on the third time with her phone off... If her driving instructor skills are as good as her commitment towards client, I am actually glad I never got to drive with her.

Following my mis(s)adventure with the previous driver, I contacted the Executive Director of the company who quickly arranged for a new driver and free lessons. My new driver was really cool, always on time, and really helpful. After all, I would recommend Drive2us.

Didn't show up. Didn't seem to care.

Booked a day off work to have a 2 hour lesson. They did not show up and when I rang they did not ever get back to me. Rang 4 or 5 times and they seemed clueless as to what was going on with my instructor and my lesson. I asked for a refund and they said someone would ring me about it. I rang again the next day and asked why the person I need to talk to about a refund has not called and they said 'he has not got round to it'. After that phone call I waited for a call, but never got one. It was clear no one was ringing, so I contacted PayPal to get a refund of 80 pounds that I had paid for the 6 hours I thought I was going to get with them. Only once they knew I had forced a refund did they bother to call me. Diabolical.

I have recently taken on this new appointment and I am trying to help the company proactively deal with customer complaints.

It does appear that in your case we could have been quicker at reallocating you to another driving instructor when you called our office and I can only apologise for the delay but it can sometimes be difficult finding gaps when we have hundreds of new pupils joining us each week.

At the time I understand from my colleagues here at head office that it was company policy to issue all refunds through the PayPal refund process. Unfortunately this wasn't very efficient and sometimes led to delays in processing due to PayPal's fund clearing processes. This is no longer the policy my office will operate for all our future customers and any refunds will be processed in house immediately.

It is a huge shame that we could not retain you as a customer and help you gain your driving license through our school as thousands of other pupils do each year.
