Came to Dr Aygin’s this month from the United States. Great communication throughout, airport /hotel/clinic transfers were easy with very nice vehicles. The clinic is impressive - clean, professional and I never had to wait long for anything. The translator provided also helped. Staff in the office and clinic is phenomenal - very caring and passionate about that they do. I’m laughing at some of the reviews that said no receipt for the procedure was given ?? I got a emailed receipt immediately when I paid the deposit, then paying the remainder of the balance after my in-person consult, I was immediately handed a paper receipt. The physician came up with a great plan for the hair transplant - to make it look natural. My advice, listen to the Dr’s advice on the hair plan. They do this all day, everyday - trust their expertise on what looks best and most natural. If you bring in your ‘own’ design and insist on doing it your way, you run the risk of unnatural looking results. The procedure was long(10 hrs for me) so be patient, but expect a lengthy procedure anywhere you go - had over 5K grafts but they always checked in on me and made sure I was ok. Can’t say enough about the wonderful staff of Doku Clinic who performed my procedure.

It was an exciting adventure heading to Istanbul - the clinic took care of everything, made it so easy! I highly recommend - this clinic is consistently mentioned as one of the best in Turkey in American media - it’s 100% correct. Great prices and in my opinion, the best technology in the world for hair transplants is right here in this practice. Would choose this place again. Excited to see the results in the coming months!

I would like to share my experience with Doku Clinic and Dr. Serkan Aygin, as I have undergone two procedures with the clinic over a span of approximately 1.5 years.

My first experience was exceptional.
From the very beginning, communication with the clinic was seamless and professional. I coordinated everything through a WhatsApp representative who was responsive, informative, and thorough—from answering my questions to arranging airport transportation, clinic visits, and follow-up care. I was personally seen by Dr. Serkan Aygin for consultation, after which his team took over.

The procedure itself was painless with minimal discomfort. The following day, I returned to the clinic for bandage removal and laser therapy. Post-operative care was explained in detail, and I was provided a complimentary post-op kit that included lotion and shampoo. After returning home, follow-up communication—especially from Mark—was excellent, with regular check-ins regarding healing and hair growth.

Based on this outstanding experience, I confidently referred nine people to Doku Clinic.

Unfortunately, my second and most recent experience was very different and disappointing.

Prior to my visit, a friend who had been to the clinic in December 2025 mentioned that his experience differed significantly from mine and that he was not seen by Dr. Serkan. I reached out to my previous representative to schedule my second procedure, but communication felt noticeably delayed and disorganized. Eventually, I was redirected to another representative, and from that point forward, obtaining basic information required repeated follow-ups.

I specifically asked—multiple times—whether Dr. Serkan would be present for consultation, and I was told that he always sees patients and would be there. Despite this assurance, key details such as airport pickup and hotel information were only provided after asking three separate times.

Upon arrival, I waited over 30 minutes outside in freezing temperatures before my transportation arrived. The next day at the clinic, I was greeted by someone new and taken for consultation by a different doctor. When I asked about Dr. Serkan’s whereabouts, no clear answer was provided. I left the clinic that day without a confirmed surgery schedule or clear guidance, only to be contacted late at night and informed that my procedure would take place the following day.

On the day of surgery, I was once again greeted by someone I had never previously communicated with. The procedure felt disorganized compared to my first experience and was significantly more painful. Despite repeatedly expressing discomfort, my concerns were largely dismissed.

The following day, during bandage removal, I was assisted by yet another staff member with whom communication was difficult. Post-operative instructions were explained in approximately three minutes, compared to nearly an hour during my first visit. Immediately afterward, the focus shifted to selling additional products.

When I asked about the post-op lotion and shampoo kit—previously provided for free and stated as included in clinic documentation—I was told it would now cost €110. This same kit is available online for approximately $84 USD, making the pricing unreasonable, especially considering it is essential for post-operative recovery and part of the clinic’s own product line.

Additionally, the procedure cost had increased by €300 within one year, with no consideration for returning patients or for the fact that I had referred multiple clients to the clinic.

I sincerely hope that Dr. Serkan Aygin or senior leadership at Doku Clinic reads this review and takes steps to address the noticeable decline in customer service and patient experience. At this point, I can no longer recommend or refer others based on my second experience. Istanbul now has many excellent clinics offering comparable—or better—care at lower costs.

What once truly set Doku Clinic apart was Dr. Serkan’s direct involvement, expertise, and the high level of personalized customer service. Unfortunately, when those elements are no longer present, the clinic no longer stands above the rest.

Great service but overpriced

I was very nervous going into the procedure. The team and staff made me feel at ease and calmed my nerves. They provided me with detailed answers for all the questions I had before and after the procedure. I would definitely recommend this team!

Initially, I searched for the best clinic, and every search mentioned Dr. Serkan and a few other names.
But I never trust anyone so easily, so I decided to study the topic every day for over three months to conduct more in-depth research.
Then I spent almost six months searching for the right hair transplant clinic and sent dozens of applications from one country to another, to the best doctors.
At the end of this deep desire to undergo a hair transplant, I realized that Dr. Serkan was the best choice on the market.
I did it twice, I chose you twice!
Every department that works for this clinic is helpful, professional, and kind.

Dr. Aygin and his large team excel at one thing: manipulating customers. They are masters of deception, control, and marketing but their surgical skills fall far short of the hype. Here is an honest account of my hair transplant experience with them.

My communication with Dr. Aygin's team began about six months before my transplant. Over many interactions, I sensed a superiority from both the staff and Dr. Aygin that bordered on arrogance. Initially, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, hoping their confidence reflected a world class standard. It did not. Their communication revealed a consistent pattern of disrespect and indifference, treating patients more like lab subjects than human beings, as if we should feel lucky to be there.

When I finally arrived in Turkey after a very long flight, I was left waiting outside in the cold for over an hour while they arranged transportation. I was then driven to the hotel, expecting a restful night. To my surprise, my room had only a twin bed and faced the noisy streets of Sisli, Istanbul, where merchants, locals, and tourists remain active into the early hours. Exhaustion and constant noise made sleep nearly impossible.

By this point, the trip was off to a rough start, and I already regretted my decision. I wish I had trusted my instincts and flown home, but with several thousand dollars spent, I felt trapped. Anyone considering treatment with Dr. Aygin’s team should know: you may face the same frustration, disappointment, and sense of being ignored that I experienced.

I decided to stick it out, a decision I would soon regret. At the clinic, I was placed in a large room with other candidates. I waited for an hour before being attended to. When finally called, I was directed to a bar to order a drink and relax. I sat down, only to be ignored. The bartenders, two young women, stood a few feet away, talking, giggling, and using their phones, never offering service or acknowledgment.

After a long wait, I was escorted upstairs for my consultation with Dr. Aygin. It was deeply disappointing compared to the level of excellence portrayed in months of WhatsApp communications. He quickly assessed my hair without asking about my concerns or goals, then told me what he thought was best. I immediately disagreed, explaining what I wanted. He dismissed my preferences, insisting my desired outcome wouldn’t look good.

He then drew an outline on my head and left me to contemplate it. I repeated my wishes to the assistant, who told me that following my plan would create uneven density and a poor result, urging me to follow the doctor’s recommendations. A language barrier made communication even harder, adding to my frustration. I was trying to express my preferences, but they refused to listen.

Regrettably, I conceded to their plan. I had traveled far and made extensive arrangements for this expensive trip.

The next day, I underwent surgery, which was extremely painful. But before describing it, a warning: the staff will make you undress in their presence in a dressing room and put on a gown. Why? To ensure you don’t have recording devices.

Once preparations were complete, surgery began. The pain was intense, and I repeatedly told the technicians I was hurting. Instead of acknowledging my concerns, they argued, insisting they weren’t working on the area I indicated. Frustrated, I got up, went to the bathroom, and looked in the mirror, only to see they were working exactly where I had said it was painful. Their disregard for my comfort and complaints was shocking and unacceptable.

Several months later, my hairline does not match the one I had when I was younger or even a few months before the procedure. They created a widow’s peak I do not genetically have. My hairline used to run straight across my forehead, but now a widow's peak and much higher hairline have altered my facial appearance significantly.

I have expressed my concerns to Dr. Aygin and his staff, but they have completely disregarded them. They have made it clear that they are not responsible and will not do anything to repair the damage they caused.

p.s., the clinic will likely respond to this review with some BS response like, we don't have an account of you being treated here. I can assure you that I was treated by Dr. Aygin and his team and have all of the paperwork to back it up.

Painless surgery

I had my hair transplant at Dr Serkan’s Doku Clinic on 12/28/2025 after extensive research comparing reviews and pricing. They were mid-range cost-wise with thousands of reviews, which ultimately led me to choose them—and overall, I believe I made a good decision.

Communication before the trip was excellent. Mey handled scheduling smoothly, and once in Istanbul, Emre was outstanding—very attentive and helpful. The logistics, transportation, and coordination were extremely well organized.

The clinic itself is clean, modern, and professional. My procedure involved about 5,600 grafts and lasted nearly 12 hours. The surgical team was excellent before, during, and after the operation. While local anesthesia did involve some discomfort, the team was responsive and supportive throughout. Food and post-op instructions were provided, and overall care was solid.

A few areas could be improved: blood test and 3D imaging results were never discussed, which felt like a missed opportunity for transparency. Post-op care requirements were more extensive than I expected, and I wish those details had been shared earlier. Also, for patients traveling alone, having food in the hotel ahead of time is strongly recommended.

Two weeks post-op, I’m very satisfied with the team and overall experience and now waiting to see the results. It’s a big commitment—painful, expensive, and intense—but Doku Clinic delivers a professional and well-run experience.

I had a DHI hair transplant at Dr Serkan Aygin Clinic and the overall experience was very professional from start to finish. The coordination, transfers, clinic facilities and medical team were all well organised and reassuring.

The team took a sensible, conservative approach by prioritising the frontal area first, which was explained clearly and aligned with my expectations. Communication was good throughout, with translators available at every stage, and post-op instructions and medication were clearly provided.

It’s obviously early days for results, but based on the process, care and professionalism, I’m confident in the decision and would recommend the clinic to others considering a transplant.

I just finished my 2nd hair transplant there and I’m fairly satisfied.

Everything was perfekt an the completely staff was amazing i can just recommend that hairtransplant clinic.

The service was very professional. From the initial consultation to the aftercare. The doctors and assistants couldn’t have been friendlier and I always felt in safe hands. My assistant helped with issues at all times of the day via WhatsApp which was comforting. The hotel I stayed at was within walking distance of the clinic, although I was still picked up each time which was nice.
The only thing I think could have been better, is better communication. When I arrived the morning of my procedure. My translator was there and greeted me but didn’t assist with the early stages. The staff that assisted me couldn’t speak English, so I found this a bit overwhelming as I didn’t quite know what was going on. The day itself is a long day, too, so I think something like the TV being on or me having something to concentrate on would’ve helped time pass and distract me. All in all though I’m happy with the service I recieved from Dr Serkan’s Clinic.

I had a top-tier experience from start to finish. Even though I traveled alone, I was warmly welcomed by Berk Cetin and Asli, who guided me through the whole process and were always by my side, which made my trip very smooth.

All transfers were arranged, I was given a sandwich during the procedure, and even dinner afterward, even though the procedure ended quite late, around 11 pm.

After the procedure, I received plenty of information on how to take care of myself once I got back home, including all the necessary medication for the first few days and a full hygiene kit.

I would definitely recommend this clinic.
