How duck duck go are allowed to have a…

How duck duck go are allowed to have a British tv advert is a shambles, they are powered by Google search engine yet in their tv advert they try say they are different they want you to switch all your devices to duck duck go instead of Google but duck duck go uses Google as its search engine, how ironic. Duck duck go is NOT a search engine but a search engine powered by google (FACTS), they are feeding you lies so they can profit from their Google ads that is also powered by Google (adsense) liturally anybody can use Google search features on their website and call it whatever you want.

Moral of the story just continue using Google and cut out the middle man.

Useless support

Useless support,

DO NOT use Duckgo. If you have problems with your duck forwarding address one day, you have a 25% chance of getting your account back.

Weak odds then.

I sent 20-30 emails and despite proof, I got no help getting my duck account back

I use them today despite this, but if it happens again it's goodbye!

Do not use this website, look at alternative services.

Browser for Linux when?

The desktop browser has been available for over a year on Windows and Mac. They say, "Get our browser on all your devices." but to this day, there is no Linux version.

Very poor search engine

I'm not keen on using Google but at least that search engine returns a lot more relevant results than DDG. It's great not being tracked but it's a waste of time trying to use it effectively as it just isn't fit for purpose in its current form. Even the Maps section is poor. I've stuck with DDG for over 3 months but am going back to Google. I'm better off using my VPN and Google to maintain my privacy.

DuckDuckgo Great Browser

Have been using DuckDuckgo now for several months and I have found it quite easy to use and have not had any issues. It is a little bit different than the others and if you look around its quite easy to set up to what you want to do, I trust the security provided by the browser better than others. Great product

It’s a lie. Safari has your browsing history.

I’ve used duck duck go for some years and loved the privacy and burn features after using a website. I got a new iPad and was using Safari when I loaded my data. Website icons, several, popped up for sites I visited and burned after. I realized burning did nothing, I sent an inquiry to DDG and the reply was to upgrade to email protection which had NOTHING to do with the email sent. I deleted DuckDuckGo and will never use it again. What a lie.

If you thought Google was useless

If you thought Google was useless, try again. DuckduckGo is the most useless of them all. Bing is better. They promise so much and all they do is return the exact same USELESS results Google does. Don't install their extension either! They'll just steal your data without providing nothing in return.

I have to say I don’t understand why…

I have to say I don’t understand why everyone is rating this app so low? I love it, not having to see constant bombardment of ads is so nice. Open any other browser and you see hundreds of them in just a few moments. Its nice to know you can search anything and not have big brother standing over your back watching everything you search or do online. Is it perfect? Nope but nothing is. But it’s the closest more than any other browser out there. I heard many things about Brave being really close to the same privacy so gave them a try. But their interface is confusing, bulky and very distracting. I’ve been using this browser now for over 5 years with no problems logging into my personal accounts and website’s . Easy to navigate and very clean layout. If you want straightforward clean interface and private browsing, then go no farther get the Duck. 🦆

Duckduckgo works TOO well!!

Duckduckgo works TOO well!!! I downloaded it over a week ago. I never could log into my bank account online (after entering the right username and password numerous times. I finally got the credit union to help me with that (should have been duckduckgo), but no way to reach them. At 9 days, I still can't log into my PAID e-mail account (which I've had for over 20 years), nor can I send a message to my e-mail provider about this problem BECAUSE they want me to log into my e-mail account. If I go this week without accessing my e-mail account, I shall DROP DUCKDUCKGO like a rotten carcass and go back to my old provider (and hope they didn't keep me from logging in, like duckduckgo did!!!

After been using it for about 3 months…

After been using it for about 3 months I've found some things have changed when I search, some better some worse. Like I've just tried searching tonight's football results on BBC and when I click the website it's trying to show me results from two years ago, very random. Also if you sell stuff on
"Vinted", you'll know when you go to send the parcel through Inpost you'll get a QR code for your receipt when you shut the compartment door. For some reason with DuckDuckGo you have to go through one of them security " find the bicycles or roads " screens to show your not a robot and even when you've done that, nothing happens so you can't get your receipt emailed to you. Wheras before when I didn't have this server it was all straightforward and worked but now I can't get my receipt. But on the plus side when in the internet, especially like sky sports , I don't have side ads and other ads squeezing up my screen area and becoming a nuisance. So overall it's 50/50 and still have to have a Google search bar to get the best results. Unfortunately as DuckDuckGo is my main bar I still have the "Vinted" problem

Great idea but clearly still needs development

I love the idea of a real alternative to the woke and intrusive googles and microsofts of this world, BUT, duckduckgo stopped my computer working correctly. For example. It disconnected my gmail accounts from outlook and threw up a raft of errors. I could only restore normal ops by uninstalling duckduckgo, which is in itself difficult. You know you are likely to encounter resistance from the googles and microsofts so get out in front of it and post easy to understand instructions for each way duckduckgo causes integration issues. Because right now, although commendable, your product behaves like a mid stage beta with limited search capabilities as another unwelcome bonus
