I ordered some eyelet zodiac natural…
I ordered some eyelet zodiac natural curtains online and the curtains were unfortunately the incorrect width for the windows. The packaging had ripped when opening due to flimsy plastic packaging. I tried to return the curtains to the Catford store for an exchange for the correct size curtains and pay the additional £50 as the new curtains were £100.
I was told by 2 store members that due to the packaging being damaged I was unable to return them. As far as I was aware you have a statutory right to return an item within 28 days of purchase. The curtains are still brand new with the packaging.
Prior to this I have purchased a lot of items from Dunelm but after this experience that will be the last item I order from them.

I recently ordered curtain material from my local store and asked to order coloured lining fabric at the same time. The assistant selected the product and asked me to select a colour. I only had cash with me and was told I could not pay with cash and needed to purchase a gift card to pay. When the fabric arrived the lining material was not actually coloured lining material and was unsuitable. When I returned it to the store they informed me that they don’t actually do coloured lining so I could not reorder the product I wanted. Then when I requested a refund they would only give me a gift card although I had wanted to make my purchase in cash. I now have a gift card that I cannot use to buy the product I need and can’t go elsewhere as I no longer have the cash. I have called customer services three times and have twice been told that someone would call back. No return calls have been made. All I am told is that although it was not my choice to pay with a gift card, their policy dictates that a gift card is all they will give me for my refund. No gesture of good will was offered given the circumstances, which would have been reasonable. I now have curtain material with no lining fabric to finish them.

So ive been trying for over a week to get intouch with dunhelm, in-between recovery from suguery.I have tried&tried on live chat into my second week what a nightmare my second rug again looks used not acceptable,I also have a runner&ornament things to return,I cant get to the store so it would be a drop off at my corner shop which works better for me.This is where it gets so complicated my purchase is not on my on line account I have my order no but like I say nothing there,or it would be simple to just request a return code.Id really like sum feed back from dunhelm as im at a loss what to do im still waiting on live chat im 118th from trying on off since 12 today.plus im going on hoilday friday so cant even get it picked up then I only have till the 2nd May to return
Bought a furniture suite from Dunelm
Bought a furniture suite from Dunelm. Arrived with mismatching cushions. Arranged a return. Dunelm told us both settees would be picked up, told the pick up agent to pick up one settee. Agent picked up two settees but his paperwork is for one settee. One settee is lost in system. Dunelm tell us to work wit their pick up agent who tells us to work with Dunelm. Neither want to address isdue, we are £1000 down.Dunelm sold the furniture, gave poor instructions, Dunelm need to address the issues they create.

Made to measure curtains for bedroom…
Made to measure curtains for bedroom delivery date postponed 3 times. First delivery date, I was informed of delay at 5:30 the evening before (day off work wasted). Next date (day off work again) no delivery, but did get informed 21:30 on the day they didn't turn up! Next date moved again. Fourth date they arrived only to find they had been made to the wrong dimensions. Cannot get in touch with customer service, the shop never pick up the phone, had to re visit the store more than once for them to make contact with customer services. Not impressed!
Failures, Incompetence, Terrible Service
Previous small purchases have been fine. So we bought a piece of furniture. A chair. All seemed fine, great communication all week. A promised contact occurred the evening before delivery, giving us a delivery slot.
Sounds great, right? 8.30 on the morning of the delivery day, the courier says they haven't received it from Dunelm.
Dunelm don't know anything. They claim to have dispatched it earlier in the week.
Now, the website says out of stock, and we are hearing nothing from Dunelm. So we chase them up. They still know nothing.
They took the money happilly but are clearly incompetent when it comes to the rest of the process.
So, if the chair finally turns up or not, I doubt I'll ever shop with them again.
Oh, forgot to mention, the chat support on the day gave me a position in the queue of over 130.

Great products
Great products, I can usually find what I need. Very good regular sale items. The main sales are impressive. The floor space sometimes feels crowded, especially during restocking. It is sometimes difficult to navigate around the aisles, especially when the store is busy. Staff are very helpful and car park is a good size.

I bought a new NHM Garden Birds duvet cover set from the Truro Dunelm for £55. I turned it inside out and washed it as per instructions. I am now very disappointed to see, on hanging it up to dry, it has what appear to be faulty seems. I’ve tried to find an email address so I can send a photo and ask what my options are, as the store is about 40 miles away, but can’t find one, and their contact system is automated in such a way as I can’t ask that question.
PS Their returns’ info says goods must be as purchased and packaged, so having washed them I don't want to do an 80 mile round trip for them to say they are not returnable.

I ordered an XL rug
I ordered an XL rug, it was delivered over 2 hrs after the scheduled time by the courier dumping it outside my door and running off before I could get to the door. The rug was ridiculously heavy and I had to get someone else to help to bring it into my doorway.
Also surely the courier should check I am in and not just dump it without speaking to someone.
Very disappointed with Dunelm as I understand that it's not them directly however they have made it impossible to complain as there is no email address shown and I was 62 in queue on live chat.
Will think twice if having to order from them again re anything large.
I ordered 2 kai part assembly armchairs…
I ordered 2 kai part assembly armchairs a couple of weeks ago and only just got around to opening them to assemble them (we needed to get rid of the furniture we were replacing first). We found that both chairs are customer returns - this was obvious because one of them had the bolts in a Waitrose ziplock bag and the other had some Christmas wrapping paper in the bottom of the box. One of them had 2 right arms so completely unassemblable! How Dunelm have managed to sell this chair to two different people who have had to return it is actually beyond belief - surely the previous customer told them why they returned it? And they still sold it to a second customer. Ridiculous to be honest.
My husband is returning them in store as we speak and I have ensured that this won't happen a third time by writing in big letters on the box that it has two right arms and isn't suitable to be sold. Fingers crossed the people in store don't mess us around with the return.
