Today I saw self-service checkouts and thought, finally, Dunnes has decided to do this. But no, self-service checkouts are only for those with baskets, not trolleys. And then, I checked the cost of th... See more

NO ETHICAL STANDARDS - DUNNES CLONDALKIN

MISLEADING DISCOUNTS and always in the Clondalkin store. It’s like they TRY to TRICK YOU so when you get to the till with a full trolly of food. When you are so busy packing your food while the cashiers FIRE your purchasing food through you don’t have time to register there was NEVER any discount.

Then when you COMPLAIN to ANYONE (MANAGEMENT OR STAFF) they become DEFENSIVE as if you’re stealing and ONLY ARGUE THEIR INTERPRETATION for why it’s the higher price.

Dunnes Stores need a lesson on how to treat the people. Take a leaf out of ANY Northern Irelands Grocery Store.

I have had enough of being treated like an imbecile by uneducated cashiers/ management.

Poor management of click and collect

Poor management of click and collect. They alter the order without cross Checking with the customer, even after providing no permission to alter at the time of ordering. They should know the number in stock at the time of ordering, right? Also, in this day and age, how can a shop alter the order without consent???

Good experience in Dunnes Stores Blanchardstown Centre

Great customer service provided in the Blanchardstown Store by a male manager named Cian. I have dealt with Cian a few times now, and each time he has been so pleasant, upbeat and personal, as well as being helpful to me in answering my queries. He always has a smile and a nice word for other staff and customers alike when I see him passing. He is a terrific young man and an asset to the store. Thank you Cian

I ordered groceries online as I have…

I ordered groceries online as I have done many times. I had vouchers in my app. It stated these would be deducted when payment was taken. they were not. So I rang the number on the reciept- the guy on the phone was very pleasant and said he could see my account and the vouchers and that should have been applied and that he would forward all this to head office. head office emailed me and requested a screenshot of the vouchers. I sent them that. quering how the guy on the phone could see my account and they could not?? then they replied a week later saying they needed a screenshot that showed my value club card details. by this time the vouchers had expired on the app, so I replied with value club card details. This is clearly nonsense that the guy on the phone could see all this but they can't. out of spite and frustration I'm thinking of taking them to small claims court and they can explain it to a judge. BTW I knew people who worked in Dunnes and they warned to never eat the meat there and if you saw how it was handled you wouldn't. Also pretty sure their clothes are made in those factories where they under pay thier workers- they refuse to deny or confirm this in the media- I wonder why? anyway they are gone too expensive. I think I will need to explore aldi/lidl for my grocery shop- I get my meat in a butchers anyway.

Don’t value customers!

I’ve been shopping with Dunnes for the best part of 20 years and for the first time I’ve had to complain I was basically told it was my fault. I spent €230 on groceries and gave my value club card to the girl to scan which I took for granted she did as she took my 3 €10 vouchers but when I went to my Dunnes app to do an online shop I had no vouchers as she didn’t scan my card correctly. I sent 3 emails to customer service and was told nothing they can do I should have checked my receipt. Well needless to say that’s me finished with Dunnes, as they certainly don’t value loyal customers!

Omagh store great visit!

Visited the Omagh store today first class brilliant cafeteria, the staff worked great together and food was fab. Spotlessly clean too. Gar better than Enniskillen store which is dire.

The Enniskillen cafe staff need to do some training there.

Been to Patrick’s street store in cork

Been to Patrick’s street store in cork, one pair of brogue shoes left at size 11, left shoe had a black mark on the toe that could not be wiped off and the right shoe had a blemish that was also impossible to repair. I asked for a discount after purchasing other clothing and was told no. So they will still try to sell a pair of shoes that are not up to standard and will charge the full price to some unfortunate that will not check like I had done. It was the last pair of size 11. I was told to buy online which will cost more for delivery. Couldn’t be bothered. €10 would have made a difference.

Dunnes Navan poor customer service

Grumpy, unhelpful staff making up the Valueclub rules as they go along. Navan grocery is the least appealing place to shop in the town, honestly it would be better to go elsewhere in Navan or drive to Blanchardstown.
They need to up their game and lower their prices. Most of the check out operators put me off though a handful are pleasant. At least when we're parting with our lard earned cash make it bearable ladies!!!

It's more expensive than Tesco or Aldi less than Supervalue.
Vouchers 10 off 50 are only valid for one week??? Therefore you're losing on saving money at Dunnes..
Wine is more expensive here compared to T or A. Good choice of products. Long queues at checkouts. Car parks always full at Cornelscourt. Its stressful shopping there.

Excellent Service
I would like to thank the 2 women in Dunnes Stores shoe department in Cork city. They could not have been more helpful today. Nothing was too much bother for them. They are a credit to the store. I only wish I had asked their names.

Dunnes Harvey’s Quay

Dunnes Harvey’s Quay, Limerick have moved their ladies underwear upstairs some time last year. While there is plenty of it there and room to browse, the only changing rooms are downstairs! never in any department store I’ve been to have the ladies underwear been anywhere other than directly beside the dressing rooms or at least on the same floor! it’s extremely inconvenient and not to mention awkward and embarrassing that you have to walk through the entire men’s department to get to the changing rooms with your underwear in towe!

On the one occasion, I was trying some pieces on, the bra was not the correct size; it was a different size to what was on the hanger. I wasn’t going to go all the way back upstairs to find the correct size and I know this is not a service provided by the staff so I was put off in buying anything at all, as I imagine is the experience with many other shoppers. They’re actually discouraging people to buy by putting obstacles in the way!

I mentioned in passing and nicely to a shop assistant on the tills upstairs that the trying on situation was awkward and she looked at me blankly and said nothing which made the situation alot worse to be honest.

Very disappointing all round. Please do better Dunnes!

Shrinkflation

Dear Dunnes, I would rather you raise the price of your Simply Better Granola then be taken by surprise when a re-branded image on the box, retaining its same size was combined with a decrease by a whole fifth in its volume. That is, what was 500g is now sold at the same 'special' price for 400g. Bit below the belt for my liking. Customers appreciate transparency. I'm sure this is just one product of many that such a trick is pulled.
