Duracell rechargeable batterys are useless.

Duracell rechargeable batterys lose there charge to quick then after a few charges thay come up with errors on there own charger, so what's gone wrong with this company.
I have now decided to go back to standard batterys because rechargeable are not worth the money and there own chargers are rubbish.

Leaking batteries destroy important devices

Leaking batteries have destroyed 9 devices at my company over the last 3 years. All devices were in use at least weekly and none of the batteries were allowed to go dead in the devices. Sending pictures (and even the devices w/batteries a couple of times) has evoked ZERO response from Duracell. We are a small customer, but will NEVER purchase their products for any kind of critical use again. "Warranty"? LOL!

The quality has degraded beyond the local made third class batteries. The build quality is poor. Often leak out damaging the equipment they are used in. I switched to Duracell trusting the brand but not anymore. The local batteries often last longer and of better quality.

DO NOT BUY DURACELL BATTERIES !

If this is the company that is responsible for small batteries in the uk, then my review is solely for them.
I fitted 4 Duracell D type batteries to my external alarm bell-box.
Everything was fine until my alarm box beeped this week, indicating that the batteries were getting low.
I bought 4 more Duracell batteries and took the box down to fit them.
To my utmost surprise the batteries had leaked some blue acid which had badly damaged the battery contacts. I have not been able to clean off the resulting rust and damage caused by the acid and the alarm box no longer works.
It took me ages to find out who to contact in the uk, and when I did, it is 24 hours between each subsequent email.
I sent all photos and details of the issue - the next day, Duracell asked for all the same details again!
I have sent these but am still waiting a response.
So, all of this week I am unable to alarm my house and so my house insurance is probably null and void until I get a new bell box - these cost £80!
I have asked to register a formal complaint, but as usual, I am waiting for a response.
Duracell Consumer Affairs that deal with such battery failures email address or telephone number is not easy to find!!
My overall advice is that customer support leaves a lot to be desired, and the actual products are not fit for purpose - so DO NOT BUY!

Duracell POOR

My wife uses a wireless mouse, we previously used cheap Energizer AA batteries bougt in these pound shops, these lasted on average 25 days, i bought a pack of Duracell +150 AA batteries, more than twice the price of the Energizer, these lasted on average 20 days, i then tried Aldi AA Activ Batteries and those lasted around 26 days and were one third the price of the Duracell.

Quality of these batteries has fallen off a cliff in recent years. They leak far more than cheaper brands. It is so bad I have stopped uismg them altogether. Given they are one of the most expensive to buy the quality is awful and damages electronics corrodimf so easily.

Beware of the fake commercial that Duracell AA batteries are made in the USA and stamped on the battery. Just purchased a pack of 24 from Walmart and it doesn’t have anywhere that they were made in the USA. They charge the way they are packaged and you can’t see the batteries till you open them. These don’t even have the Country that they came from. I bought to support a US bases company. Very disappointed

I purchased a box of 60 size 312 Activair hearing aid batteries on Amazon in August. It is virtually impossible to open the battery packs. You are supposed to cut a pie slice size into the pack, to access one battery. If you want more the best way to get at them is to destroy the plastic packing and pry them out. I would return them to Amazon except I am past the 30 day return period. I will probably throw them out. Sadly disappointed and out the cost.

Brandnew batteries are already leaking in the package

Batteries are already leaking / white dust while they are NEW in the package . Date on batteries says 2029, but obviously it is still 2025 and already most of the batteries are leaking / showing the infamous white dust . Batteries where stored dry , dark , in original package , in a normal cool room.
This brand is now GARBAGE .
Always liked duracell with their bunny etcetera , but that is now permanently over ; i will never ever again buy the duracell brand .
Also .....what an enormous toxic waste this company is dumping on this planet with their batteries that already are useless before you could even put them to good use. Obviously this brand lost all its charm and fame. Kind of sad really .

STOP Trusting the "#1 Trusted Brand"

16pk-AA-NOT OPENED, leaked 4 batteries. The package reads "10 year warranty" and is dated 2018, batteries 2028. Stored in a Tupperware bin, indoors in hall closet in emergency kit. I sent them multiple pics when I wrote customer support. Their reply contained "when and where did you purchase"? I can already see where this is going. So disappointing the "#1 Trusted Brand" will not stand behind their product. Apparently, I am not the only sucker that put my faith into a 101 year old company. No wonder the younger generations have a disposable mindset. Even the manufacturers themselves no longer value consumer satisfaction nor perception.

The Duracell was in a flash light and destroyed it when it leaked. I've had issues with these batteries before. I called once and all they did was sending me a coupon. They don't take responsibility about their product and how bad it is.

Leaky AAA Durcell batteries

Over the last 12 months, AAA Durcell batteries in 3 separate devices leaked. After discovering the 3rd leak, I contacted Durcell Customer Care. They thanked me for calling their attention to the problem, adding they will pass on my concern to the appropriate team. In the meantime, I won't be buying any more Duracell batteries.

I bought a battery for my Panasonic camera.
All I can say about it is that it arrived well packaged!
The battery runs down so quickly!!
My old battery charges and lasts longer , it is useless.
I thought it was a reputable company , I was sadly wrong.
Will never use again.

Batteries leaked after 8 years in a…

Batteries leaked after 8 years in a dark drawer, controlled temperature. Six still in package, and two destroyed a weather radio. They had a ten year guarantee. After a hassle, they sent me a coupon. The coupon would not work at Walmart. A store manager and 20 minutes of grief finally resolved the issue. Why ad insult to injury? Why not just tell your customers to go to Hell when they call, and end the pain right then ?
