IT'S RIDICULOUSLY, LUDICROUSLY OVERPRICED IS WHAT IT IS.

I ordered a small part weighing in at 5 grams from a Dutch website. (a bicycle headset top cap if you must know). It's smaller than a matchbox in size.

Now they are claiming this is a "big sized parcel" and unless I pay their exorbitant monthly silver membership of €25, I can't even access it!!😠

Next, you'd think this wouldn't cost more than, say, €20 to send worldwide. But no, they consider this to be a parcel and so they apparently charge a flat fee of €54 credits (up to 2kg)!!!😡

So the minimum charge looks to be €79 to send anything to you outside Europe!!!!!🤬

This is about six or seven times more expensive than, say, mailboxde.com.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
No wonder they have so many 1-star reviews.

EDIT. You only seem to pay attention when you get a one star review. There is absolutely no accountability on your part for your crappy service. Absolutely I will not edit or change my reply. Why not? Because you are STILL massively overpriced, and what you are offering is bordering on a scam.

I'm not the only one who thinks you are a complete and utter rip-off. Just look at the number of 1-star reviews you have with google!!! It's a pity too because I would have spent more with you long term.

UPDATE: Now they are even trying hard to get this review removed "because they don’t think it’s based on a genuine experience". Good luck with that, I have forwarded evidence of my interactions with you.

Dear leslie dean brown , your frustration is directed to the wrong party. While you may have ordered a small item, the company you ordered from put the item in a large box that does not fit through the mailslot. We are not allowed to open boxes or mail so we have to forward parcels as they come in. You may want to re-direct your anger towards the person or company you ordered from and that has sent you the parcel. We merely forward what comes into your mailbox. In this case you were notified ahead of time by our team that your item is oversized and the charges involved, at which point you always have a choice to accept or reject. Please revise your review to reflect the facts.

Lengthy time to process

Need a small parcel delivered through Dutchmail.com. Joined in a Bronze membership. Had the parcel dilivered to them within a few days with no problem at all.
A few days pass and I had not heard from them so i emailed them to get a reply that I needed to pay extra Euros (credits) to process my parcel. I logged in to my Dutchmail account to see that i needed an extra €55 (55 credits) for them to start processing. So I converted to Euros and sent them the €55.
A few more days passed and heard nothing. I logged in again to see the stutus of sending my parcel. This time it stated that I needed to upgrade my membership to Silver to be able to forward my parcel. So. I transfered another €25. Also enough to get my parcel posted express.
Now I have enough points as they demanded I selected my options to send it on over to me. All this was done over a week ago and I have had no update as to the status of my parcel. Sent them an email with no reply.
The whole experience has been very time consuming with very little if not no communication. They have had my parcel for over a month and was hoping to receive it before Christmas. Looks like that wont be happening now.
Opted to have tracking number which hasn't been supplied yet.

My experience using Dutchmailer has…

My experience using Dutchmailer has been very positive, however I have one problem.

So Dutchmailer let’s you set up an account quick and easy, bounded to a specific plan, which can later be changed if needed. Each of these plans have more options than the last, namely the bronze plan, the silver plan and the gold plan. When having created an account, you will receive your very own street address in the Netherlands attached to your website screen name. Here you can start sending mail to, as long as your plan remains active. The first month of your plan is even free!

I had chosen the bronze plan for my package and as soon as it arrived I got a notification by mail that it's ready to forward.

Now for the problem. The destination address of the package sent to your mailbox must include "Dutchmailer" in the name. I had entered this in the address of my package when placing the order and "Dutchmailer.com" was indeed included in the address on the invoice of the order. Now I have gotten a 20 credits reduction because apparently the address didn't include the latter. Other than that the customs cloud've changed the address, I don't see how this is possible. I would like this problem to be solved. I hope this reaches the attention of their support as I haven't been able to get a hold of them by mail. I'd like my fine of €20 to be removed.

Hello brechtvdv , If your item does not include "dutchmailer.com" it will not arrive at our warehouse and an employee must manually go and retrieve "orphaned" mail and sort it to the correct mailbox. Dutchmailer.com NEVER changes packages or address labels (the original labels always remain on your packages) so when your parcel arrives you can check and verify yourself that your sender failed to address your parcel correctly. Unfortunately there is not much dutchmailer.com can do when the sender of a parcel uses an invalid or incomplete address. If you do not want invalid parcels to be retrieved for you you can notify the service desk and incorrectly addressed parcels will then be returned to sender in the future.

Dear ? When you sign up you get 17 free credits to start (and then some more every month). A bronze account is 10 credits so yes your first month is more than free.

Extortionate fees and flakey platform

The website is terrible, extremely amateur and difficult to use. The technology behind is rudimentary. Fees are opaque and it is difficult to predict the actual cost of using the service. It cost me almost €100, when you add up the monthly fees (for what, exactly?) and the handling fees, plus a crazy €15 euros for a tracking number, which normally costs €3 at the post office, just to forward a tiny parcel. The prices are extortionate and the customer service nonexistent - one gets the feeling that this site is operated by a teenager in his parents' basement. Even topping up your account with "credits" to pay the extortionate and opaque handling fees is a highly fraught process, with complicated, off-site payment processors (PayPal is not support).

I find it rather slow

I am going to update, I am having problems but the customer service I have received has been excellent and it makes me not mind the cost as much.

I stand by my previous review it’s slow and expensive and now my package is missing but they’ll say ghe can’t help because I didn’t pay an extra 22 credits (euros) for tracking.

I find it rather slow, my first package was processed in 3 days and shipped but my second package was delivered over a week ago but still isn’t showing in my account. To forward on the mail it’s really expensive if you want tracking plus the extra handling fee it came to 39€ which seems excessive. If you want a regular service then I find this to be really costly, with the monthly fee plus all the other charges for shipping and handling, and given the speed of service or lack of I’m not sure it’s worth it. I suppose I’ll see how long it takes to process and deliver this package but at the moment I’m looking elsewhere

I've not had any mail delivered yet I seem to have been charged for opening my account then I'm being asked to pay on top of my original fee for handling my mail in the long run it has cost me a lot more for services that should have been covered in my account, let's see how long it takes to arrive?
