I rented a 7 pass got a smaller car

I rented a 7 passenger mini van. Stated model was a ford galaxy “or similar”. I got a Dacia Jogger. The car that I received is smaller than what I wanted. The trunk/boot is 1/3 smaller in the configuration that supports 7 passengers. Also the tank was at 1/4 full so right off on top of eveything (jet lag, handling 6 carry ons 3 checked bags and personal items in a car that is too small) NOW I need to get gas?? Now I assume that they are going to charge extra for the Dublin tolls that they told me to not pay for as needed.

Easirent Dublin

This has been my experience of Easirent car hire Dublin.
I booked a hire car last November for a golf trip in May last week.
Since making my car hire booking our flight times changed, so I contacted Easirent to see if the car would be ready a couple of hours earlier. They responded to my email quickly saying that it was quite possible that my car would be ready but they couldn't really change 3rd party bookings which mine was.
So, to be sure that my car was ready at the time my flight landed, I made another car hire booking (also with Easirent) and cancelled my original booking.
All good!
Whilst doing the rebooking process, I noticed some negative reviews about Easirent- which put me on my guard.
However, I needn't have worried.
We followed their rules and guidance and on arrival after phoning the company, a courtesy mini bus picked us up and after a minute or two we were at the Easirent office.
We had been asked to bring our driving licenses for me and the additional driver.
A driving history check, which the DVLA provides free of charge and only takes a minute or two to produce. A credit card in the name of the person making the booking and some utility bills.
We had all this information to hand, we had our own excess insurance so they had to have a charge put on our Cr. Card - which we were expecting. We were offered a couple of different cars other than the estate car booked, band & opted for a Dacia SUV which was fairly new.
All the staff we met were friendly and after a few working days my charge got removed from the credit card.
I videod a few scratches and dings that the car had on my phone on arrival, but these were also noted by the company and I had no problems when returning the car.
Overall, a really positive experience from Easirent and a company I would use again.

Avoid Easirent Dublin Airport at all costs

Avoid this company at all costs. Their service is abysmal and their staff are truly bad mannered. I booked and paid for a car at Dublin Airport only to be told when I arrived at Zone 17 as instructed by Easirent that they had no car for me. They told me to wait at the airport and they would call me in "an hour" Its been 24 hours and I have heard nothing. Now the trouble has started trying to get a refund but I am being told I cant get one because I didnt cancel more than 2 hours before the collection time. Yes you have read that correct....... Easirent failed to fulfill their rental agreement and I cant get a refund because I didnt cancel the agreement more than 2 hours before the collection time.
They are con artists so stay well clear of them.

Worst experience with a car hire…

Worst experience with a car hire company I have ever had. he staff are rude from the minute you walk in the door. It appears they are in the habit of not providing the car you booked, which happened to me where I got a MUCH smaller car. They also like to hit you with fees and charges that you don't know about until you go to pick up your car. Do not use them.

My experience after 3 rentals with the company has been very positive. The reception team and the car team are very friendly and helpful. They even drove me to the bus stop at the end of their industrial estate. Will be happy to continue using Easirent.

THEY SHOULD BE CALLED DANGERRENT!

There was absolutely nothing easy about this company!! They should be called “Danger-rent”, or thieving-rent»! Upon arrival, they forced us to pay for a very expensive insurance (€285) even though our credit card offered full coverage. They claimed they require a specific letter from our credit card provider that is impossible to get, in order to avoid paying that premium. Then, they gave us a smaller car than the category we paid for (we had booked a compact SUV, they gave us a regular hatchback sedan. When we complained about the car, they said it was in the same category we had paid for and tried to disguise it as an upgrade because it was hybrid. The pre-collision system on the car was faulty, we could see the warning in the dashboard. When we expressed our concern about that, they dismissed it as no big deal and said it was ok to take the car. Later on, we realized that because of this system issue, the car kept swerving on its own, going abruptly left and right while driving, which was extremely scary, especially while driving at higher speed, at night, in the rain, on narrow two-way street. The alignement on the car was all wrong, we had to hold the wheel at 30 degrees on the left, for the car to go straight, which further triggered the swerving problem. We constantly feared for our lives. Additionally, the tire on the front driver’s side kept losing pressure and we had to stop several times over the course of 5 days to add air in it. On the night that we received the car, we noticed the alignment issue, called the rental company and they brushed us off, saying it probably would be fine to keep the car. The next day, after a longer drive when we noticed how dangerous this car was, we already in Belfast and showed up at an Easirent that we found in that area, only to find out that it had been closed for two years. We immediately called Easement Dublin to outline our issues and they weren’t willing to help us, unless we drove the 2.5 hours back to Dublin. We told them the car was dangerous, they couldn’t care less. They were forceful on charging us a crazy expensive insurance but then had no problem letting us drive a dangerous car that was in terrible shape, risking our lives in a foreign country. STAY AWAY from this company!

Worse car rental company I have experienced

The staff were rude. Pressurised to say yes to questions without being able to read them. The member of staff got annoyed we when wanted to.
We booked and paid for a mid sized car and we're given a fiat panda. No explanation told us this was a mid range car.
Drop off back to the airport dropped off at terminal 2 no explanation. This was not the same place as pick up.
