East and Gray replaced a leaky kitchen tap. The whole process of getting a quote, through to the engineer replacing the tap was easy. The engineer was very experienced, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Very happy with the service from Sabrina in the office and the engineer. Would recommend.

It seems I've been struggling with a sticky ball valve for quite a while now.

I called East and Gray, and they were able to schedule an appointment that worked perfectly for me. I received a message letting me know that they would need to slightly adjust the appointment time since Steve, the engineer, was still busy with another job but would arrive within an hour.

When Steve got here, I explained the situation. He quickly suggested that it might be related to the ball valve. We left the shower running for a bit, and then the noise started—it echoed throughout the whole house.

The issue had persisted for some time, and I was worried it would turn out to be something serious and complicated, which is why I had delayed calling a plumber. However, after chatting with a friend who recommended East and Gray, I decided it was time to have it checked out. I'm really grateful I ran into him and made the appointment.

Once Steve replaced the ball valve, we tested everything, and there was no more awful noise.

I can’t thank the team at East and Gray enough. The service and communication were excellent from start to finish.

I will definitely be using their services again and can’t recommend them highly enough.

Excellent service from engineer Ricky who installed a new Combi boiler and was very helpful and considerate, worked very hard and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. Thank you !

East and Gray installed a new Central Heating System for us in April 2019. Rod Cates came immediately following our initial enquiry and a compressive quote was put together promptly. At the outset of the job, his team worked out the best way to achieve our objectives with the least amount of intrusion to us. The team arrived on time every day and kept us informed as to each day's upcoming work and progress generally. All new equipment was explained and they were always amenable to small changes requested through the process.

We recently had a boiler replaced and the installation of a Nest system. East & Gray provided us with experienced engineers and we were very pleased with the quality of their work and advice.

East & Gray have provided me with brilliant service. When we moved into our property and there was an issue with the plumbing they provided advice that evening and one of their team came round to see us the next working day to fix the problem. Their communication and knowledge is superb and I would highly recommend them. Having just moved to Harpenden we will certainly be using them for all our plumbing needs in the future.

A most professional and efficient company led by an experienced, knowledgeable and charming gentleman Rod Cates, whom you felt you could trust. Also excellent administration back-up. A great job completed by a highly proficient, skilled engineer, who was also a lovely young man, who thoughtfully got on with a difficult job in a quiet manner. We can highly recommend this company and we knew we were right to trust their Estimate and their performance.

We have used East and Gray for all our plumbing and gas servicing needs for over 30 years. They consistently provide an excellent service and employ knowledgable, conscientious and friendly staff who take the time to explain what they are doing and always consult with you during any project. Recently they have completely refurbished our bathroom to a high standard and installed a replacement central heating boiler with the minimum of fuss. They have that eye for detail and provide great customer service. What more can I add? Oh, yes: a trustworthy company.

I had a problem with my shower pump and East & Gray were on the pump manufacturers approved list. They answered the phone promptly and sent a knowledgable engineer. The engineer did some other work while here and fixed the pump issue but said that it might fail at some point and unfortunately it did. They gave me a fixed and fair price in advance and completed the work quickly with no fuss at all. How refreshing!

Great service, clean, professional and efficient. Installation staff kept us informed what was happening and when. Lead installation engineer was very personable. They gave us great advice on after service and helped us with all necessary electrics. NEST system is really helpful. We have no hesitation recommending East & Gray

Conscientious plumber who did a quality job at a reasonable price

From start to finish. Our boiler installation went without a hitch. Only too willing to listen & advise, very little mess, the job was finished on time, very high standard of work & everyone we dealt with were polite & respectful! Would NOT hesitate to use them again.
