New Flooring

I recently asked East Yorkshire Carpets to fit some flooring for my friend and she is absolutely delighted with the service received. Paul and the team were really helpful and my friend is delighted with the end result. Thanks again East Yorkshire Carpets.

Took our money in September and not bothered about completing the work

Took our money in September. As of December we are still waiting for the hall and dining room to be finished. Six times the fitter has failed to turn up. The shop is unable to confirm that they will send someone else to finish the job. So bare floors and nails and dangerous uneven surfaces. Very cold rooms. We've had our dining room empty for two months. We can't have guests because it is dangerous and we can't order sofas because our dining room furniture is in our sitting room. The fitter damaged our sky cable beyond repair. Took a hammer to our Edwardian hearth tiles when we'd told him to conserve. And which were flush to the floorboards, such a nasty thing to do. He then hid the shards. We were in the house. We don't even have our remaining flooring materials that we have paid for to get another fitter to complete, though also paid for fitting already. Shop saying that due to Christmas they can't prioritise getting the job finished. Really shocking state of affairs.

Awful Experience

One star as cant give less I waited approx. one month for their " best fitter " to do the following to our property wall mural in granddaughters room damaged with tape of some description, tea/coffee sprayed all over wall, missing carpet in walk in wardrobe and then the pièce de résistance a one month old professional paint job on our staircase turned to a scabby mess in hours and the response from the retailer who recommended the fitter not our problem please please be careful before trusting this firm, Its now approx. 1 month prior to xmas and I have to find a decorator for new mural and to repair fill and repaint staircase and a plumber to repair the leaking radiator and start a legal case all because I trusted the wrong salesman, Honestly a summary of the damage including 37 spindles 5 newel posts 7 stair risers 4 skirting boards wall mural and liquid of type brown over wall ,also I now have a leak to a radiator pipe curtains stained (will probably wash off) new carpet soaking wet struggling to see how that can be squared off by the retailer saying the carpet I chose had a hessian back which might explain it really ? my chainsaw is sharp and dangerous so I will collide with everything in my path until I get to the tree, also the fitter is refusing to give me the details so i can claim from his professional liability insurance
