ONE of your seller literally sent me a brick. And you wouldn’t give me my money back. Told me I have to go to the police. Nobody replies to emails. Shame

eBay's money back guarantee is not to be taken seriously. They don't gaurentee, nor do they refund. I bought an item from a seller on their site that was of such poor quality it was a joke, though I'm not laughing. The item was clothing, which was horribly made, of super cheap material, and had such an awful smell it made me physically ill. The seller refused to refund the total price, offering me a lousy $5.00 . I called eBay and asked for their help. They responed with a "Nope, nothing we can do... Sorry." attitude.
I feel that I was swindled by the seller, paying good money for a terrible product, with no protection for me by ebay.
I do believe I will be an Amazon customer from now on, and if eBay doesn't like it then "Nope, nothing I can do....Sorry!!"

I just have to write a review as eBay have the customer service out of any other company that I have dealt with. I signed up for eBay in Dec 2017. Since that time I’ve called customer service 4 times. The 3 times I spoke with a person I was more than pleased. Although I do not like there automated customer service! All the representative were more than helpful, very friendly & understood exactly what the issue was & either corrected it on their end or explain to me how to correct on my end. Never once did I hear I’m sorry that’s company policy like you do with other companies! A++++

Ebay has some great bargains to be found but if you ever have a problem then it takes ages to get it sorted !.

Very frustrating business. I received an email from ebays agents debt collectors last week (Feb 15th) demanding a supposedly outstanding invoice on my ebay account back in 2016! On top of this balance a fee of £8.00 has been added!
Contacting ebay & explaining their error is an absolute nightmare!! Each time I have called I am presented with ' you need to pay the outstanding amount' ..after a frustrating conversation with 1 ebays customer services dept. I am transferred to another & another & another dept.with each saying 'you need to pay'
I thought today I was making some sort of headway in getting this resolved...alas not so...the agent said he could see where the problem was & would get the balance removed but needed to have the 'hold restriction lifted' before my account could cleared on the outstanding balance.
He informed me that he would write in the notes it was a system error & would transfere me to the specialist dept who are the ones that could do this..
I was transferred to another customer service dept who started off with ' what is your name' once I told her & explained the reason for the transferred call she said you need to pay the outstanding balance I asked her to read the notes & she said she would need to contact another dept...& apparently will call me back.
I am waiting for the call back but doubt if this will be sorted!!!!
What a load of rubbish ebay! I have had to call you 3 times spent hour half in total on the phone to you....this is your mistake due to your wonderful system!! Get it sorted.
Today 26 Feb received yet another phone call from Ebay..saying I need to pay the outstanding showing on their system! Once again had to explain that there's no outstanding balance it is an error on their part ...she then said she would forward the error onto yet another department! My ebay account by now will have passed to all of ebays departments and still not resolved!!
I would close the account but not able to as there is this small outstanding balance showing!!!
Ebay have not replied to this review either I would imagine its being passed to all there departments as no one knows what to do about it!

As buyer, I can tell this is great service.

I wouldn't bother arranging parcel delivery through their site. I sold an item but the parcel was not delivered because the driver was too lazy to go into the Sainsbury's store to deliver the parcel to the Argos outlet - it then got passed around the country before it was eventually sent back to me. I now have to try and sort an alternative delivery because I cannot trust this incompetent driver. As this was sent through eBay I have to make a refund to my buyer, relist the item and they have to purchase again - this is the only way to create a new ecp number - it cannot be raised manually. Ridiculous system in this day and age - such a waste of time!

i guess it is ok if you are buyting, but if you are selling expensive stuff like designer bag or cloth ebay and Paypal it the worst platform you can use.

Doesnt matter if you have the prove of purchase the receipt the postage receipt or wat, as soon as the buyer said it is fake, you lost ur bag your postage and your money

so do not sell on ebay

Selling has nothing but unauthorized payment chargebacks

I'm really not that happy with ebay's seller but then again what should I expect. To all new customers make sure you read every line specially the shipping cost. Some items cost more to ship then the actual item itself and if you don't catch that before you order then you are just SOL because you are stuck with the shipping price even if you do return the item. I also feel they really need to check if the description states it's a queens size set and the price is $19.99 then when you purchase that queen set it should be $19.99 not $26.99, to me that's false advertisement.

i have been buying of eBay for years now after sadly losing out on £40 from a different company I ordered from eBay instead I ordered a PlayStation 4 controller it was a scam and eBay did nothing about it I then lost out on £44 I spoke to a eBay representative they stated they can't help me even though eBay is there website I wouldn't recommend anyone yo buy of there

The whole website is slow due to advertising they put upon it.
Selling fees are too high for the service you get when you get problems and their policy for sellers are not fair as the seller is always the one on the back foot and the one in the wrong even though this might not be the case. You can’t leave negative feedback to poor/bad customers, they made it a one way street. I do know there are bad sellers out there but eBay seems to have a policy that we are all bad sellers........
So given up using this platform for selling

Stole my money

I would like to start selling on eBay but I get technical problems for 5 days.
I have send them an email for helping me out. I got an email back with a link to send my id and a piece of papier with adres on. I send a mail to that adres with docs few minutes later I got an email in polish language. I got an warning that the link could be fishing. What the f eBay !!!! Crazyyy

SOMEONE STILL MY 766 POUNDS FROM MY CARD AND BUY LAPTOP FROM MY CARD I WASN'T ONLINE AT THAT TIME ( I WAS MOVE IN BACK TO MY MOM )AND I CALL TO EBAY ,PAYPAL, THE POLICE TOLD ME ITS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME.
