Blake at Eclipse was brilliant. He organised everything for my very first International trip keeping within my budget. I travelled solo to Antarctica, my #1 bucket list destination, a daunting prospect for a 65yo female. But everything went off without a hiccup. Great communication, with no question too silly from this novice, and I felt a valued client.
A tiny change I wanted made to accommodation in Beunos Airies was no issue for him. Very happy to recommend.
PS: I’ve got him working on another trip for me already. Says it all huh??

We went on Heritage Expeditions' "Megaherbs of the Sub-Antarctic Islands, which was outstanding: knowledgeable and helpful guides, good accommodation, great food, and an extremely well-run and enjoyable experience.
Matt at Eclipse Travel made the booking and preparation easy, and helpful, efficient support was always available. Highly recommended.

The trip was incredible. Cathy was responsive, respectful and informative. Answered all our questions and we didn’t have any issues with the logistics. Will definitely be using Eclipse for future travel.

I booked my Antarctica trip through this agency. While the trip itself met expectations, I found the communication with the travel agent lacking. Responses were often slow, and the agent did not come across as very friendly or supportive. For such a major and expensive trip, I expected clearer guidance and a more personable approach.

The itinerary and sites we saw were fantastic. Most of the guides we had were excellent however we had one in Mexico City that couldn't speak english well and could not answer any questions. We enjoyed the character of the accommodations however the bed in the Puebla hotel was as hard as a rock.

We had a fabulous time and most everything was perfect!
We experienced a lot of surprises that was way above our expectations.
We loved Eco camp in Patagonia and would have been good if we had upgraded but it was all due to cost! It was great to stay inside the National Park!
We loved Peru and was so surprised that we had the permit to scale Waynu Picchu, we did it, so good 😊, thank you!

Our favourite was Bolivia, Uyuni salt plains, so fantastic and awesome and it was such an adventure and our guide(Danny) was alot of fun.
Also the train ride from Cusco to Puno was amazing, so glad we upgraded!
Thank you Cathy for an amazing itinerary, was so seamless and stress free.
Daily breakfasts and all the transfers were great 👍 and all the tour companies were very communicative and helpful
Now for the next adventure, Africa!

Our agent Meike gives first class service from start to finish. Meike was great at the start, giving us many options to consider for our South American trip. Then after we booked Meike kept us informed all the way, sending great detailed information and giving us terrific advice. Our trip had many moving parts, including many car pickups etc. Everything was totally professional and seamless. The Eclipse back-office team was also very good and helpful. It all added up to a crackerjack stress-free holiday.

"Our trip with Eclipse Travel was outstanding! From the moment we booked, the communication with our agent, Daniel, was fantastic, providing all the info we needed. The tour itself was beautifully crafted, flowing seamlessly from exploring Chilian sites of Valparaiso, Atacama Desert , Moon valley, and Bolivian Salt Flats, Argentinian lake district Bariloche and Patagonia Glaciers. Our guides was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, making history come alive. The Lakes crossing Puerto Varas to Bariloche, hikes Laguna Torre, Mount Fitzroy in loss Glacier National park and Base towers hike in Torres Del Paine National park was a highlight—truly memorable! Everything from the hotels to the included activities exceeded expectations. We felt well-cared for, never rushed, and experienced authentic local culture. Highly recommend for a stress-free, incredible adventure!

Very knowledgeable and experienced. Easy to contact when we had unplanned changes due to a border closing. Emergency accommodation was booked and bus tickets sorted.

We are senior travellers and Eclipse Travel found the right mix of holiday for us in Africa, tayloring their advertised adventure to suit our monetary and places requests. The accommodation, safaris and transfers were spot on and ran like clockwork. We felt safe knowing there was phone backup and appreciated the pre trip assistance. Thank you Eclipse for a trip of a lifetime.

A very professional operation. Curated a very good South American itinerary taking into account the specific needs of the group. Easy to deal with and stayed in touch in the lead up. Absolutely no issues with the arrangements when travelling. Everything went according to plan. Would recommend.

People working at Eclipse Travel are knowledgeable, dependable, and very helpful. They know the trips they offer well and give good answers and advices when I have anything in doubt. Trip arrangements are handle in a timely manner and all documents arrived as promised. Their responses to questions are fast. They may not know the answer right away, but they let you know they're working on it, and not leave you in the dark. Blake even went an extra mile when our flight was delayed and arrived our destination airport at midnight. He arranged a driver to pick us up at the airport to the hotel.

Premise: this is going to be a LONG review, so take a seat and grab some popcorn before reading!
I have noticed that there are no reviews with the name of Cathy Allden on TrustPilot… so I will be the first one to write something about her work!
As just mentioned, my travel agent was Cathy Allden. I had the first contact with her 6 months ago, when I was just looking for general information about a possible trip to Antarctica, and I was hit by the way she approached me. Pretty straight-forwarded, she didn’t ask for a telephone or Zoom call to discuss the options like many other operators did. She simply asked for some general informations (my nationality, when I wanted to travel, how much I wanted to spend etc.) and then she sent me a quote. I was REALLY DOUBTFUL at the beginning, as I suspected it was a scam given the way she acted (we only communicated via email and she pushed to book the trip as quickly as I could), but after doing some research, I came to the conclusion that she was acting seriously and professionally in the name of a real travel agency. To be honest, it was her straight-forwarded method that convinced me to choose Eclipse Travel as a travel agency. I sent the money and she immediately booked all the flights, hotels and cruise to go and visit my seventh continent - Antarctica!! From there things went smoother and smoother: every time I needed to ask for suggestions or advices she was pretty quick in answering my emails, and as a traveller who had already been in Antarctica, from time to time she gave me tips that proved to be really useful!
Overall, I would rate the experience with her 4 stars out of five: although she’s a good travel agent, I find her straight-forwarded methods a bit scary for somebody who is about to spend thousands of dollars in the trip of a lifetime… and maybe, again MAYBE, having a phone or a video call first can help the customer feeling safer, giving the impression that there is somebody behind the screen that truly wants to help you booking a wonderful trip.
But, I have given 5 stars to my experience with them, and not just 4. Why? Because the trip was exceptional! Not a single luggage got lost, I received every service I paid for, and I visited places that I will never forget (in particular, Neko Harbour and Paradise Bay in the Antarctic peninsula)! The ship HAD WI-FI (contrary to what Cathy had told me at the beginning… but maybe because she needed an update), although it was optional as we had to pay for it, and the crew of the M/V Ushuaia (ship operated by Antarpply) was friendly and everybody was happy to help. The other guests were young travellers or retired couples that wanted to explore the white continent… I heard so many life stories that I would need seven more reviews to write all of them!
Only con: the tour to visit the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, was half day long, and not a full day one like I thought… which wasn’t specified on the travel itinerary I received.
Overall, I am really satisfied with the experience I had! I don’t deny that I have been really lucky, for sure. But Cathy and all Eclipse Travel team truly made an effort to ensure that everything could go as well as possible… that’s why I am already thinking to book my next trip with them!

Great response times from Blake. Living in Christchurch, NZ, this provided confidence that I was dealing with a reputable company.
Blake's experience of having lived and trekked throughout South America was invaluable in formulating our itinerary especially since this was a six week holiday covering most parts of Chile and parts of Argentina.
