New
A family-ran company. My previous experience with traders are often negative, but Lee was friendly, punctual, and communicate plainly. So I knew exactly what I was getting, when I was getting my order and how much would it cost. One of the panel for the door I had installed during COVID was recently faulty and out of warranty. Lee went above and beyond to get it replaced for me without charge. Would recommend.

Econoglaze excellence

Lee and Tom from Econoglaze in Wymeswold were very helpful and came out to fix my issue in less than 2hrs, they did more than they needed.
Highly recommended.
Ignore that disastrous 1 star review further down as it is not for Econoglaze but for another company.

New windows and doors for the whole house

I watched Lee and Tom work installing new windows and doors at my son’s house for a week. They took the greatest of care when removing the old windows and doors and installing the new products. They took such care that internal redecoration was either not needed or minimal. They cleaned up every evening, put protective sheets on the floors and even cleared away external debris from the previous tradesman. The windows were cleaned after installation and the overall finish was excellent. The windows and doors do their job. They keep the house warm and look great and the original features of the brick and woodwork have been retained. On top of that they were really nice guys. They made a major home improvement project as easy and stress free as possible.

Stay away from eco glaze . Please....

The company is due to come out for their 10th visit as work is still not complete.
So lets start from the top.
#Day 1 they ripped out all windows and installed new.
Didnt have all the beads or cills to finish.
Guys were throwing old frames out the rooms with no care and left loads of rubbish and nails.(phill was his name)
Went to do front door, made too long.had to order another.
Went to do back door, completely the wrong door. I asked for full galss and panel door arrived.
The owner ( ceri ) tried to convince me to have this one instead.
Hell no...
Kitchen window was made to big so they had to butcher it to get it in.
#Day 2 the one boy was quitting so he said so had no interest plus they were waiting on delivery from principality plastics.
Didnt turn up.
You could see through 2 windows were the trim was not installed and foam wasnt applied all the way round. it was febuary so not the warmest.

Weeks went by and then they turned up with the new front door.
All damaged. Absolute joke.
Waited another 9 weeks for it.
Next one turned up with no pre made holes lol.
Honist you could say i was lying but im not. I have all photo and video evidence.
And when asking the fitter about other outstanding work they just replied. " not my job, didnt come here for that"
Couple more weeks, back door then arrived, only issue is that all my windows and doors were anphracite grey and all the trims were white.
He had to re attach my old door and then asked can i store the new door untill parts arrived.
So i kept it with my front door that they asked me to hold on to.

So months have past and each time a fitter came i had to ask them to do other work.
Finally ceri and josh came out (owners) and i showed them all the outstanding work.
They were apologetic but what good is that.
So they booked me in for every thing to be completed.
Still waiting.
Its been over a year now and james the new guy doesnt seem interested.
So outstanding work left is:

3 cills need glueing down,2 windows needing trim to match the rest.
Drainage caps to be fitted.

Oh yeh and my biggest front window has no screws in the top anywhere so window is moving and trim is coming off when we have strong wind 😵‍💫.

STAY AWAY PLEASE.
ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A COMPANY AND NO AFTER CARE.

I have missed other work but i think you get the picture off what ive said.

I must admit that the previous review…

I must admit that the previous review would have made me hesitant to engage Econoglaze to replace my house windows (4 Bed Semi), I was impressed with Lee's knowledge and product offerings/prices so I choose Econoglaze as opposed to other well known window companies in Loughborough. I did ask for references, and was given three references, all of which were positive.

I was made aware of the likely wait (6 - 8 weeks) to have the windows supplied before actual fitting. Lee and his colleague Tom fitted the windows perfectly. They have completed the work professionally to the highest standard, and removed all the rubbish at the end of each day. Due to less than favourable weather, it took them 2.5 days to finish. New windows look impressive with ultra clear glass. I won't hesitate to have Econoglaze come back for additional work, and would highly recommend them for windows replacement.

Very bad and costly experience

For some time I have used this company to replace many of my faulty sealed units and not had any problems. In May 2018 I needed to have my wood/plastic conservatory roof replaced with metal/glass. I asked them for a quote in June but they didn't get around to quoting me until late July/early August. They were told repeatedly that the work had to be completed prior to 31st October 2018 & they assured me it would not be a problem. The quote was higher than I had hoped for but none the less asked them to measure up for the replacement. On 28th August the owner came round and again it was stressed to him that if I placed an order it would have to be completed by 31st October. No problem he said with the only proviso being if the weather turned bad, which it did not, in fact September & October were heat waves with little rain.
I signed an order and gave him a £500 deposit. Having heard nothing during September I called in frequently to see how my work was progressing and was each time assured that the work would be done to time.
In the middle of October with only 2 weeks to go, I was told by the owner that he had not even ordered the materials and would not therefore be able to fulfil the contract. He even told me he hadn't promised to do the work to a time scale, I have a witness to that fact, but still he insisted he hadn't promised and simply pointed to his contract and refused to refund my deposit even though he hadn't done the work.
I don't like to be accused of lying, I really thought they were a reputable company, but they effectively conned me out of £500 (their contract does allow a 10% charge if I cancel without good reason) so in the worst case scenario they still owe me £50.
Very bad experience, would not like others to be caught out as I was, my advice to any potential customers is don't sign their contract and don't leave a deposit.
