I love Ecosia and the fact that I'm planting trees searching the internet - Ecosia however is not a very good search engine, and when I want a more serious search, I just write "Google" on Ecosia and then start my search there - then I'm still one search closer to planting a tree ;-)
- (not too happy about the new look though, miss the old one)

Really easy to use and shows you how much your searches contribute to trees. It also has a nice and blocker, incognito tabs and other good settings options.

The only thing I don't like about it is you can't add pages to your home screen on mobile or set the incognito tab as the default when you open the app.

The quality of search results is helpful and I am glad that I’m helping to plant trees. Uniquely, they also have a youtube channel showing where they plant trees so it’s legit. It can be a bit a bit slow or you have to re-search but overall, great,p. Keep up the good work 👍 Ecosia

This is more of a malware acting serch engine! it poped up on my conputer and cant delete it regarless of what I do! I never dowloaded it either!

Just a really bad search engine. They supposedly plant trees when you search, but you’ll end up having to go somewhere functional to search again. If you care about planting trees do it yourself and use a real search engine.

Please change the design to the previous one…it had a refreshing and pretty look whilst also reflecting on your goal for promoting environmentalism. I dislike the new design not only in terms of colour and appearance, but also because it is not the sort of design you’d easily identify and say “Oh, that’s of Ecosia!”. It has no special charm to it unlike the previous one..

Ecosia has a great concept and I fully support it, so well made and an amazing idea! I love it and have been using Ecosia as my main search engine since their early days.
But I must say that the new design is...just awful!! I have never been big on fancy looks but this new design disturbs me. The old look was so beautiful and perfect for what Ecosia is all about. I wonder what other users are thinking about this...what about a survey!

I think Ecosia is a great way to keep our planet healthy. But you know what would be even MORE helpful? If instead of planting all those trees, THEY REMOVED THE PLASTIC FROM THE OCEANS! It's really the plastic we need to worry about at the moment.

Hello! I really appreciate what you are doing to the planet. This project is very well made :) I would like to suggest a dark mode feature if possible.

Greatly improved from a few years ago. Not up to google standard yet, but it is easy to switch to google searches if needed. The planet is obviously the important thing here. Ecosia is my standard search engine and used for about 80% of my searches.

As a consultant, I need to do searches ALL THE TIME. And I am planting trees while finding the information I need instantly. I love you Ecosia. We need more of you in our world.

Far more ethical than Google, great concept and works just as well as any other search engine.

Great usability, great premise, hopefully this search engine takes off as more people take responsibility for their personal carbon emissions.

A wonderful initiative- they're really transparent about how their income is used and their planting projects really seem to be making a difference.
