First off edecks is a good company with friendly service, good prices and a great delivery team. I have used them before and most likely will again if I have any more decking projects. This review is solely about the quality of the decking boards which, on this occasion, were of a lower quality than I was expecting. You expect the usual twists and shakes on 4.8m boards, they went down flat enough with a bit of a fight, but I was surprised by the number of cracks and the amount of splitting down the centre of so many of the boards. I opted to lay them with the grooves face down so that the deck would be kinder on bare feet. A couple of the boards had to be cut and placed quite strategically as they had been cut from the edge of the log and thus had around 2 feet of the back edge/corner missing, instead there was a void showing the live edge of the tree they were cut from. If I had been laying the boards grooved side up this wouldn’t have been a problem but I didn’t see this mentioned as a possibility on the website while ordering. In the end it wasn’t too much of a problem, I had to hide the worst of the boards towards the back of the deck and it turned out ok Just trying to leave some honest feedback in case it’s helpful for others
