Poor food spoiled a holiday

First class coach and driver, great day trips. Hotel was clean and staff were very helpful, a trip to the Babbacombe Theatre for the variety show is not to be missed. Food let the hotel down badly, evening meals were very poor , some of the deserts were inedible, and spoiled the holiday for us. Breakfasts were better thankfully. If this had been my first trip with Edwards I would not have used them again.

l Edwards…coaches

we have been on several Edwards holidays and couldn't praise them enough they were great -value for money-and exactly what you need when you are getting on a bit,but not ready to stop traveling!
the staff are very helpful nothing is to much trouble.
However be careful ! Always take out insurance! even if you are travelling in the UK never think that you only need it if you are going abroad !
My husband suffers with Alzheimer's but we have still managed to take a holiday over the years within our capabilities, we booked a 5 day luxury getaway for ourselves at Sidmouth which was a special place for us. In the circumstances insurance wasn't an option.

We were due to be leaving on the 22/09/25 but my husband became ill and was sectioned under the Mental health act, it was a very difficult time.
I contacted Edwards to tell them and to see if I may be able to rearrange? but that wasn't possible, I emailed the company to ask if I could do anything and to date I have never had a reply.
This cost us £1.578 that's a lot of money for anybody ! and I would have expected an acknowledgement at least from a company who pride itself good customer care.

ABBA VOYAGE TOUR, LONDON

We did the Abba Vouage tour, with Edwards Coaches. What an amazing experince!!! Would throughly recommed if your an ABBA fan. Andrew our driver was brilliant and can't thank him enough. We stayed at The Gantry in East London, beautiful clean room and lovely comfy beds. We were warned by Andrew that breakfast got really busy so we just got up a little earlier and enjoyed a lovely breakfast before heading on the coach into Central London to shop to our hearts content, within the alloted time, (approx 3+hours) which was enough for us, (nearly 13,000 steps done). Got back on the coach, tired and happy and driven home.

This is our second trip with Edwards…

This is our second trip with Edwards coach holiday, and this will be our last. We paid £645 to go to Warwickshire for Xmas for five days. 8 am pickup to arrive at our hotel about 4 in the afternoon. We weren’t delayed by traffic they just stretched the journey out. Hotel absolutely freezing. First meal sent back as it was cold. Xmas Eve trip to Warwick and we would have had to pay extra to go into the castle. Returned to the hotel evening meal, when asked about the entertainment as written in the itinerary it was a singer that couldn’t sing in the bar that mostly just went la la la. Xmas day lunch, veg you couldn’t eat it was rock hard turkey not brilliant. The room was absolutely freezing. When asked about the entertainment for Xmas night it was a quiz. It was so cold in the room we couldn’t stay and went back to our rooms. Boxing Day trip to Stratford, returned to the cold hotel. Looking forward to our Gala evening with a night of entertainment as yet again described in the itinerary only to find it was the singer who spent the time la la. Yet again the room was too cold to spend the evening in even though they shut all the doors. Back to our rooms. Breakfast was always cold even though we complained. An elderly couple on our coach spent 3 nights sat with their coats on in their room it was so cold. Return journey, we left at 10.15 to be kept hanging about waiting for other coaches to meet us. Arrived home by about 5ish absolutely ridiculous. The drinks were expensive almost £10 for a glass of wine. One of our party was a single occupancy and paid over £700 for the holiday. As usual Edwards will do nothing in the way of any reimbursement, it was the same when we went to Ireland . Top rate for a Christmas which was ruined by Edwards. We all thought that this would be a great Christmas we would have been better staying at home

Naughty but nice

Hi
Hope you are home safely.
Thank you for a lovely holiday

What do you think about this.

A fantastic Christmas and New Year Holiday to Spain with Charlie and Steve.
At exactly the allotted time up rocked our coach. Our hosts quickly and professionally assisted all waiting passengers with luggage and scooters on ready.
We were left in peace to sleep till nearly arriving at the dresded immigration office. Again very professionally got us through the procedure and sailing off to Dunkirk. We travelled then to our overnight stay. To break the journey we had a quiz. Drinks and comfort stops. Next day we were on the way finally arriving at our destination. All booked in Spain tax paid dinner and back to rooms.
Next day christmas a welcome drink was given by smiling guys. Christmas day the lads were there encouraging us all with the completions.
We went on the Barcelonia trip. Glorious sunshine not but plenty of laughter. Then we went to the market town of Gigoria once again assisted ny the lads.
30th December Edwards coaches took part in Bingo winning most games but then came the fun fancy dress. The Naughty but nice team won Snow white and the wicked witch and Grumpy, Sleepy and Dopey won the contest.
Next morning we went to lorretta. A really nice surprise front the lads drinks and food for all
Lots of laughter. That night New Year eve all joining in.
New year day last day. Darts finally again Edwzrds won.
Next day departure. The lads werevstbthe coach putting the bags on all ready for the long journey. Games were played and everyone happy. Last day travelling. Arrived Calis disaster struck behind a flex coach. They all needed visa so we missed the ferry watched it depart but never mind on next one but departing not gone very far big hold up nearly an hour finally back to base we left sunny Spain and then back to snowy Wales.
Our drivers were fun. And professional at all times.

Edward’s Coaches a great company- Pity about the driver!

The coach arrived on time. We had a short break at Reading Service Station. We arrived at the hotel in Kensington only to find we had to wait an hour before we could get our room. Normally the driver would contact the hotel enroute to establish check in time. He failed to do that! We had a great experience when visiting Christmas at Kew Gardens. However breakfast time at the hotel was extremely crowded- not an enjoyable experience! In my view the coach driver was not as helpful as some we have had in the past. We didn’t see him from the time we were dropped off at the hotel until we went home.

Enjoyable Cornish break

Feeder coach from Whit church to Cardiff West as I don't have many people available to give me a lift anymore, this service is invaluable for me.
I stayed at Barrowfield hotel, Newquay. I enjoyed the trips, driver John excellent driver and the hotel was fine, warm, good food and comfortable.I had a large room, plenty of hot water, tea, kettle, towels, also bus stops close by for Newquay

Hotel appalling

Hotel appalling. We will never go on a coach trip again with Edwards . Booked with Edwards as known for having good hotels to go too. Very dissatisfied. Can't wait to get home. (First time ever and I'm 58 and my mother 87.) Won't be recomending Edwards.

Review Blackpool Tiffanys Hotel

Review Blackpool Tiffanys Hotel
Crazy Pete was our driver, what else can you say. He did a good job looked after us well. The number of un-booked walkers he had on was unbelievable, it was really over the top for him, people just do not care, felt sorry for him.

Now for the hotel, the food was okay no complaints in that department. Now down to the room it was in need of a Deep Clean, carpet was almost black with wear. Cracked sink in the bathroom, taps on sink wrong way round, Hot on the right, Cold on the left, requirement in the UK hot always on the left. Hand shower did not work rain shower ok. Housekeeping left a lot to be desired, room on no day was serviced properly, the toilet was not cleaned for the whole of our stay. Tea and milk was replaced and the quilt on the bed just pulled up. Definitely not the standard we are used to.

Not very nice in the evening when people were having drinks in the lounge, for what we could make out, was the Night Porter hoovering around people, probably getting her work done to sleep on her shift. On the last night it was a different porter, we didn’t have the hoovering. Entertainments room was crowded and a lot of people found the music too loud.

We do not seem to be doing very well with Edward’s choice of hotels. This is the second holiday in the past two months where the hotels have not been up to standard we have had.

We recently returned from a trip to…

We recently returned from a trip to Ireland, my brother, sister, myself and husband. What an experience, from southern Ireland to northern Ireland. Each day was packed with wonderful experiences, including Giant Causeway and Titanic Centre, which reduced me to tears. Our driver, John, was full of information and always cheerful. How he managed to manoeuvre the narrow streets was amazing. 10/10 for John

Flavours of Yorkshire

Stayed at the Crown Hotel in Harrogate. A beautiful huge Victorian hotel with original features. Staff very accommodating nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent but dinner although hot, well cooked and served promptly was hit and miss with limited menu choice. The tours to Whitby (excellent fish &chip lunch)and York (fabulous afternoon tea) at the Hilton were excellent. The driver Rob was very good and was keen to ensure we had a good time. Highly recommended.

Potters Resort: The Way Forward

Just returned from a second stay at Potters Resort: Five Lakes with Edwards Coaches. The resort was once again fantastic with plenty to do & no complaints, heard a few passangers on the return shuttle selling it to others! With all the food, drinks AND activities included you really can't go wrong here.
Rees our driver was great & very knowledgeable of the area, also had some good ideas to make the trip even better in future.

Already looking to book again for next year.
