Great Service, Very satisfied.

Great price and excellent service, despite one bulb breaking in transit.

Recently bought two lightbulbs from this company and was worried after one turned up broken, having read some of the reviews on here. However I found the customer service to be excellent. I informed them of the breakage immediately and had an email back in response asking for pictures, which is perfectly reasonable. Sent pictures and had another email within an hour thanking me and saying the replacement would be sent out. It arrived within 48 hours.

Certainly did not have the experience that some others have suggested and found them to be communicative and understanding.

Will definately be ordering from them again, and would highly recommend.

Don't bother

Ordered a product and was sent the wrong item. Emailed company to get position rectified but received no response. Called them and explained position. They sent a free returns label and I assumed I would get my ordered item first and then return the wrong item. Wrong. When I queried where my ordered item was, after a couple of emails, Giles (MD) of company was aggressive and rude and put phone down on me for no reason. Very poor customer service. I would think very carefully before buying from this company.

It's hard to know what to say the anti small business negativity just astounds me (even after 10 years). So we supplied the correct product but we're told it's not the correct color for this chap - no problem - so we sent him a FREE OF CHARGE RETURNS LABEL. No this wasn't enough he'd like a courier to collect his £2 tube at a cost of £20 to us so he doesn't have to walk to a post office. I explained there would be no small businesses left in the UK if we all agreed to these requests (I'm guessing this was me being a bully and aggressive?). He threatened me with leaving "the most hideous feedback all over the internet" about us as though it would force me to abide by his request. Clearly there is nothing we can do to prevent people being utterly unreasonable and I apologize to anyone having to read this, sole destroying to write probably the same to read. It certainly wasn't our choice to publish this ludicrous example all over the internet! Please bear in mind when reading this that in the 4 months since a positive review on Trust Pilot we've done ~2000 transactions, the only feedback we've received is two very negative!

Advertise items they can't supply and send you whatever they want instead.

Very poor. I ordered a downlighter to match the ones I already have in my kitchen. The product code and picture on their website showed what I wanted so I ordered one. 7 days later my order was delivered. The paperwork listed what I'd ordered but the light supplied was different and not what I wanted. I phoned them thinking there'd been a mistake but after being asked if I'd ordered a product with a 'JCC' code (which it was), I was told that they were obsolete and no longer available! I was not happy with this response as the company falsely advertised the light and several weeks later they are still advertising it. I was sent a free returns label and I stated that I expected my original delivery charge to also be refunded as I wasn't asked if it was ok to send a different item (which I would have declined). I was asked to return the light with a covering letter to explain this. So, I then had to waste time writing said letter and then taking the parcel to the Post Office. A full refund was given after I chased it up. I would not recommend Efficient as you can't guarantee actually receiving what you've ordered.

JCC Lighting discontinued half of their entire range overnight one evening - 1500 products which had taken us 6 months to upload, it can be extremely challenging keeping all our 12 000 listings 100% correct for which we apologize. Occasionally we keep a discontinued product on line to help people find them (our JCC discontinued items category receives ~3000 visits a month) as a way of helping direct them to an alternative code which is very often exactly the same product but with a different code or in a blank box. Clearly our approach has not worked on this occasion for which we apologise - please bear in mind that Argos have been doing this for a decade, Tesco do it every week with my home delivery but if we as a small business do it? Well here we are on Trustpilot battling negativity!

Terrible (really really terrible!)

Order date 23rd November
2nd January - Had to chase them after a month to find out where my order was
3rd January lights promised to be dispatched on 6th January
28th January Had to chase them after another month to find out where my order was
Told that they were not in stock (so much for the promised dispatch!)
After talking to some sarcastic bloke on the phone I finally asked for a refund (2 months after placing the order). He couldn't understand what the fuss was about

No contact from them
No order updates
No message to say they are waiting for deliveries
Complete disregard for customers
Rude staff
Completely useless
I run a property development business - I would never use these people again

Refund requested 28th January - let's see how long it takes

5th Feb - No notice of refund from them so I had to contact them again
They told me it had been paid - I later checked my account - it was only paid after I had called them that day

They then told me that the reason for the non-delivery was that the light fittings were "discontinued" - Odd as they are still available on their web site!

What else could you have done? You could have contacted me! (just once would be a start)
We had several not "a huge amount" of contact(s) and only when I contacted you
You never once initiated contact - you sometimes replied to me
Even after you told me that the item was discontinued (months after I ordered it) - you were still selling it on your web site
You refunded my money only after I chased you (several times over a prolonged period)
I build apartments & there are web sites/ suppliers I use regularly (bathrooms.com are brilliant) - I would never use Efficient Lighting again

YOU NEVER ONCE OFFERED AN ALTERNATIVE - THAT IS AN OUT AND OUT ...... UNTRUTH

The light is still being sold on the web site 3.5 months after my first order - when it was "discontinued"
My review "unfair"? I really don't think so!

JCC discontinued 1500 light fittings in one day it can be incredibly hard to keep up with manufacturers availability for which we apologise, we do our best. Having said that I don't think this review is particularly fair, we spoke a huge amount of times throughout the above process, I'm sorry we couldn't help but we did our best to offer alternatives. We also refunded the transaction in full prior to the date listed above not sure what else we could have done in this instance?

Brilliant Service!!!

Excellent service and brilliant customer service team, Giles was extremely helpful and very good at there jobs, i bought something from the store and am now a regular customer, they are also busy yet so willing to help.

I saw the light!!

When one of the under cupboard light units failed in my kitchen and I couldn't find a replacement in my local DIY stores I looked on line and found just what I wanted at Efficient Lighting at a reasonable price. Delivery was quick and items received well packed. Now I am fully illuminated and all is well. Thanks.

Excellent knowledge in product options and technical support. Competitively priced.

We used Efficient Lighting on a luxury private residential renovation which we were project managing. We did the lighting design and produced a schedule of suitable fittings for the client . All of the Efficient Lighting staff were incredibly helpful, willing and knowledgeable. Working to a strict budget they found alternative products to accommodate the contract value and supplied them accordingly, often to some tight timescales. Overall, an excellent service and a solid range of products in the market place. I would happily recommend to alternative professionals as well as those looking to improve lighting schemes within their own homes.

DOES WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN

Having ordered a new bedside light to replace one that went duff and needing to match the one on the other side , I located it with Efficient Lighting. The price was right so having ordered the light fitting, it arrived before the stated delivery forecast, was well packed and after fitting has worked perfectly for the past month or two. I would definitely use this company again.

Not very good

Bulb arrived broken and I was advised to return it at own cost which I did, subsequent to which I never heard from these guys again. They were friendly and reassuring on the phone but completely useless when it came to rectifying my problem. I eventually found a retailer who had the Lytlec product that I had originally ordered and gave up on Efficient Lighting altogether.

Fast turnaround

I ordered bulbs for my under cabinet lights, they arrived pretty quickly. I had some confusion with sizes / types of bulbs on website, but eventually found what I wanted.
