Great tour
The experience that everyone had with their friends was educational and enjoyable. Taking advantage of an opportunity to explore another country this way is an experience of a lifetime.
The most fun I’ve ever had and hope to travel with y’all again
Bathroom accommodations were unreasonable. people were expected to 'hold it' for over 5 hours at times. Our students were given very limited time to find a place to eat, wait in line, wait for food and eat when in very crowded cities. The times did not accommodate the circumstance. Luggage check was not clearly communicated and my son was charged $85 for his carry-on where several adults in the group got 2 bags checked for free. EF staff did not assist in the situation.

My daughter had a great experience. Everything was very well organized
Fantastic itinerary which allows you to see some of the best cities in Spain.

This is the ideal trip to really experience Spain in just a few days!
Your was delayed twice due to COVID, the first time by EF. Both times they kept $350 as “non-refundable” which means we paid $700 extra on what was already a relatively expensive tour. Air travel that was arranged involved traveling to a neighboring state to leave and two (long) layovers on the way, before arriving at their destination 24+ hours later. Their guide cancelled while they were en route. New guide “left them guessing”. In the morning they were unable to start the tour and had to hang around the hotel while their guide met other groups at the airport. Hotels ranged in quality. The first did not have adequate bedding in the rooms (ie a double for the 3 kids). They did provide cots and the kids rolled with it, I just don’t think a student who paid for a double should have to sleep as a third on a cot. The second hotel had a pest problem. The fourth was on top of a mountain and EF did not provide any sort of transportation to get down to town/the beach, so it was a long, hot trek. At this point one student had already suffered sunstroke and a chaperone was at the Doctor for overexertion, so they spent most of their final day on tour in the hotel as well. EF provided food was subpar and not indicative of local culture. They were served chicken and potatoes four nights in a row with no other options. Subsequent nights included chicken and potatoes, but with other options (buffet). The best meals they had were those they sought out on their own. As for the tour itself, the schedule was packed, meaning they spent a lot of time rushing and still ended up late. One day of the tour was almost entirely traveling/looking out the window, and about half the days were at least partially travel. On their return, they had a tight connection which they nearly didn’t make, and then their luggage was lost and returned damaged. The reason I mention this as an EF issue is not because I blame them for the airline’s actions, but because as soon as the tour was over, EF rescinded the ability to check our account balance or any details of the insurance policy, making it difficult to make a claim for damaged luggage, which should be covered. We also had a surplus of $55 in our account due to a canceled excursion, and I have been unable to reach a human to request a refund or to inquire about making an insurance claim. All in all, the kids enjoyed their experience (though they wish they had more time and better food), and they were never in an unsafe situation, but I expected a better organized, higher quality tour for the price point.

The animated guides were engaging and informative, the food choice was *splendid*, and the hustle to explore even when some things went awry was productive without being overbearing or over exhausting
Amazing! This was my first experience leaving the U.S. and I would di it again in a heartbeat!
Absolutely amazing!
My daughter and I really loved our experience with EF Tours to Spain. Pepa, our tour guide/director was exceptional! A few things we loved on our trip. The historical sites and museums with wonderful local guides. We particularly loved the Alhambra in Granada. The gelato was so delicious, we had it at least 4 times! The best was saved for last, with a meal prepared by local Spanish ladies. The food was incredible and we loved getting to now these wonderful women. There were a few things that we didn’t love. The first was our 5 hour layover. After a 9 1/2 hour flight, a 5 hour layover, and a 2 hour final flight to our destination, we actually ended up missing out on the first official day activities. Second, the hotel beds were so uncomfortable, most being so hard, it was like sleeping on the floor, and lastly we would have liked a little more free time for exploring and shopping. There was some free time given, but it was usually at our lunch time, which rarely left us with enough time for anything beside eating. We still felt we had an unforgettable experience.
Fantastic country. LOVED.
Poorly organized

Lots of experiences!
The first two days was (6+) hours of free time in the same area. The meals provided were more or less the same (chicken and potatoes) everyday despite going to different restaurants and hotels. However, the tour guide and bus driver were both funny and nice people. The best part was one of the hotels we stayed at that had a pool and spacious rooms.
