Everything was planned out so well, my child had a lot of fun exploring and experiencing another culture. This was definitely an opportunity he will never forget!
EF has decided to cheap out and no longer arrange organized tours. We spent 2 days roaming athens, mostly alone. We were dropped off in the tourist trinket area and picked up hours later. Organized, guide-led tours were limited. We were funneled into specific shops and encouraged to shop as guide-led stops. Who can buy a 600Euro gold necklace on a STUDENT tour? Where was the education? Where were the tour guides?

This was a trip to remember! 5 stars doesn't do it justice. Our tour guide was the best of the best!!!
My son had a blast
The trip was a disappointment. Our tour guide, Sue, was amazing, and that is the only nice thing I can say. 1 of the hotel choices was a joke (no potable water in the hotel, dinner was canned spaghetti, canned peas, and overcooked everything else. Breakfast was runny scrambled eggs and literal hot dogs, cut up and labeled "sausages"). Of the other 2, 1 had incredibly rude staff who treated the kids like a nuisance rather than paying guests. I realize these are inexpensive tours, and these are kids, but really? I've been on adult EF tours, and if we were treated on those like these kids were, no adult would ever use EF.
It was safe, fun, educational, all the adjectives that add up to a trip my son will never forget.
I loved all that EF Tours did for us! It was nice that I didn’t need to plan a thing while on vacation, other than what to do on my FREE time! We hit all the historical points with plenty of great pictures. We got to enjoy the town and shop, experienced walking through 2 ruins, we did a 3 island boat tour (need MORE time on the islands), overall it was a great trip and gave us a hint and taste of wanting MORE of Greece! Great first way to experience a new place with no idea on where to start! Thank you EF TOURS!
Athens is everything you want it to be. The first hotel in Athens was horrible. I wished we changed the hotel space and were able to see the numerious sections of Greece though, not just the old section, but we did have ample free time. But daily the trip kept getting better and better. Our second tour guide was top-notch. Argolida was incredible; the region is gorgous. We should have stayed at the second hotel or third hotel two nights. At least there was an area for us to walk, eat and shop.
