The balance of science, history, culture and nature was a perfect experience for me and my students.
After leading several student tours with EF to Europe, we decided to fulfill a life-long dream and chose South Africa for our 2024 destination. Our tour of South Africa with EF was life-changing. From the natural beauty to the historical and cultural elements to the friendly and welcoming South Africans, our student and adult travelers were stunned and full of joy every day of the tour. The highlight was our visit to Kruger National Park. Our game day drive was one of the top 3 days of my entire life. I cannot recommend this tour enough.
I have traveled with EF six times now. Discover South Africa was the top experience. The culture and attitude we encountered was warm and welcoming while educating us on the atrocities of Apartheid. The other experiences on the safari and touring this beautiful country rounded out the experience nicely. Plus, one job is created for every eight tourists!
I had a wonderful experience time. It was a trip of a lifetime. The Tour guide was excellent- very knowledgeable and courteous. She was very committed, efficient and dedicated.

wonderful experience
The Discover South Africa tour was AMAZING! We learned about the history of and continued impacts of apartheid. The wildlife safari was incredibly special. It was perfect to explore both Johannesburg and Cape Town. The Cape of Good Hope showed an actual line where the Atlantic and Indian Ocean currents met. Our tour director was helpful and so enigmatic with personal stories about his experiences during apartheid. Robben Island was haunting, especially since our guide was a former prisoner there. The views during all drives were stunning. I highly recommend this tour.
South Africa was the trip of a lifetime! Amazing sites, well organized and fun. Frank was a wonderful guide.
