Nice Japan trip
We had the best tour guide, Josh! He made everything more fun, and patiently answered all of our questions about cultural norms and customs in Japan. I really liked a lot of the activities we did, especially the ones I wouldn’t have thought to book myself, like tea ceremonies or meditating with a Buddhist monk. All of the tour stops felt interesting and relevant, so it was well planned. Definitely recommending to friends!

Loved Japan with EF tours!
My son got a view of many different aspects of Japan. He would have liked a bit more time in Tokyo and a little more variety in activities (probably one castle and one shrine would be enough for most teenagers). Overall, it was good value and I would recommend it if you have a student who is interested in visiting Japan.
1. Zero supervision. 2. Terrible food - our guide said "please tell EF that the food is awful and unhealthy, this is not how we eat. they provide this for the Americans" 3. Hotels so far out of the city that half the day was spent on a bus going back and forth. Zero chance for sightseeing at night because we were on a bus our to the sticks. 4. No tour guides. The "guide" that was with for the trip would drop us off at an attraction and tell you when to meet back at the bus.

When it comes to hotels, we work to balance comfort, safety, and convenience, while also making sure there’s space for large groups and bus parking and that all locations meet safety standards. Sometimes that means accommodations are a bit farther from the city center, and we understand how that can limit evening exploration.
Each group also has a Tour Director who helps travelers follow the itinerary, points out the best places to visit, assists with language translation, and helps everyone navigate the country. Their role is to keep the group on schedule while also making the experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. There are other local tour guides assigned throughout the itinerary who will guide you through different scheduled activities.

The Japan Tour that we went on recently was amazing! Lots of great sites visited and some great cultural experiences. Our main tour guide was awesome, friendly and extremely helpful. All the other support staff (bus drivers and local guides) were also outstanding and did an excellent job. It was a jam packed schedule, but made for a great trip. The mountain sites were my personal favorite. A little too much shopping focus for my taste on the last two days in Tokyo, I would rather have seen more sites. Overall, this trip was well worth the cost and was a great experience. Would highly recommend.

Toby had a great trip overall! They was too much packed into each day but he was able too see a lot of the culture. He expressed not having enough time to shop & get lunch.
From the Buddhist temples, Shinto shrines, and history of Osaka and Tokyo, our trip was excellent. All students and adults were in awe of the sites and sounds of Japan.
My son had the most amazing time on his trip to Japan! From start to finish our experience with EF tours could not have been any easier. We would gladly use them again to go on more adventures!
Our tour guide was absolutely fantastic. She was so knowledgeable, and made all of our excursions so exciting yet smoothly. The tea ceremony, making our own chop sticks, having a meditation with a Monk, visiting alot of Temple sites. This Japan trip was so memorable and we enjoyed every bit of it. So much to see and do but never did we feel stressed out. Thank You Choco!! (That was our tour guide's name)
Where do I start?! This is my first trip ever, But It's my sons 3rd trip and we loved it! Our trip to Japan was AMAZING, from a great bus driver to an amazing tour guide. I cannot express how wonderful they were with our whole group. I want to say that this is the beginning of endless trips for me. I have lived the most amazing experience with EF and it over exceeded my expectations. From having transportation, rooms meals and tours ready. This made it 100 times easier to manage and take advantage of time. I have to say Miwa our tour guide did an amazing job, taking us and explaining to us everything from the history to experiences lived. I will be traveling with EF again, I really enjoyed all of the accommodations, made everything so much easier, specially with a group of 40 people. EF has been the best experience to travel in every way.
