Wonderful tour for student, so much was packed in without being overwhelming. They had an amazing time, the itinerary, tour guides, and experiences were memorable, educational, and absolutely wonderful all around. Highly recommend!
I saw so much history and learned so much about spain was the best vacation ever
My son loved his experience and came home wanting to travel more. EF made this such an easy process for parents.
It was a good tour.
My 16 yr old son had a fantastic time! Made lots of friends from other high schools. He had only good things to say about the trip and guides.
This year my daughter thought the tour guide was less involved with students, than previous years. They put everything in the tours app vs telling the kids. She felt bus rides were less interactive/ informative than previous years. Many of the girls in my daughter's group said the drivers were rude. The places they visited were great but I need to mention one of her teachers is a native so that helped. Over all this time was ok for her.
EF Tours made everything so easy! The fundraising link was simple to share, and the payment options were flexible and convenient. It really helped make this trip possible for my son.
Group flight was indirect with 4.5 hour connection layover. Hotels were NOT located in the cities/towns on the tour but rather up to an hour out of town near freeways in Industrial parks. EF Tours does not release hotel names/locations until AFTER trip is paid for. When they did release the list, 3 of the hotels did not have URLs on the list that went to their website. Reviews for some of the hotels on the list were poor and/or indicated construction was in process. Hotels were non-descript, low quality beds and really bland, small portions food. Some hotel features were silverfish, rust on bathroom, mold on bedroom window, broken faucet in bathroom (loose from its fitting), etc. Teens were expected to sleep on fold out couch. Everyone should be guaranteed a bed. 17 teenagers should NOT be required to share beds even if they are same sex.
Our tour guide and bus driver were absolutely amazing. The tour was jam packed with amazing sights and wonderful explanations from very knowledgable tour guides. Our bus driver was superb as well.
It was an amazing trip ; the sights were beautiful and breathtaking. And just learning about the history and culture is fascinating as well.
Our daughter and her group had a wonderful trip! Everything went smoothly and they loved the locations they visited as well as their trip tour guide
Loved visiting so many different places between Madrid and Barcelona!
It was extremely educational. I learned so much and feel like I have a really good understanding of the geography, history, and sites of Spain. I was not impressed with the food with the exception of teh desserts. The desserts were amazing!
The itinerary was thoughtfully organized and allowed us ample time to enjoy a wide variety of experiences throughout Spain. Our bus driver, Luis Miguel, was excellent—we always felt safe and well cared for during our travels. Our tour guide, Edele, was kind and attentive, showing genuine concern for both the students and chaperones. However, we were disappointed to be grouped with two other groups made up primarily of students aged 18 and older. This created challenges, as some of those students were drinking at dinner and going out to clubs at night. While we fully support the goal of helping students learn about other cultures, we believe that travelers under 18 should be placed in separate groups from those who are legally adults. The differences in expectations and behavior also led to tension between the chaperones, as their priorities for the trip did not align with ours. We feel this was a significant oversight on EF’s part and ultimately made the experience less enjoyable than it could have been.
Edel and Miguel were the best!
It took 4 legs to get there horrible
Toledo should be mandatory and we took a private tour thankfully to go there. Barcelona and Bilbao were places that I would not return to, In order of most enjoyable towns were Toledo,, Segovia, San Sebastian, Pamplona, Madrid.
