This tour was just enough city to just enough countryside and small villages. We loved the amount of water time we got, the shopping, walking, sights, etc. I highly recommend this combination for travel as we experienced trains, planes, automobiles, and more while taking in breathtaking and bucket list sights!

everthing was wonderful
Our guide, Claudio, made all the difference, and the trip was wonderful! Our guide was thoroughly educated in the history of every location we visited. When there were issues with our return flights, EF ensured that was handled - and our guide made the choice to stay with our group for an extra 2 days, to ensure we had access to assistance, and he even arranged extra excursions for our bonus days.
The tour director was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and worked well with our students!
Excellent tour. Superb tour director, Florence. Bus driver, Gilles, was amazing. Highly skilled, warm and friendly, and always on time. Those two took great care of us. Our group had a wonderful time and saw many, many remarkable things and cities. Our hotels were fantastic. Super friendly and helpful staff. Very good meals across the board. My favorite meal was the ratatouille! For the record, there were extreme temperatures in France during our tour, June 20 - 28, 2025. The heat slowed us down and affected our ability to be open and receptive to visiting mulitple sites in one day. That's unfortunate. I appreciate the tour director's willingness to be flexible and patient. Thank you! This review awards EF an almost perfect score. Why a 4 out of 5? The EF policy of flying the group overnight to the destination, and then "hitting the ground running" upon arrival in the AM is unrealistic. Especially for new travelers. If there is a next time for me as a group leader, we would ask that we please stop somewhere for an hour or two after the flight to take a power nap, change clothes, and freshen up. We would have had a decidedly better and more productive Day 1 had we been able to do that. Waiting until after dinner to check into the hotel is not something I care to do again. Nicely done. Well organized. Good choices. Thank you!
My child enjoyed touring with explorica better
My daughter and I traveled with her high school classmates and French teacher on this trip. Florence was an INCREDIBLE guide! She ensured activities met the needs of the tour group and provided amazing flexibility and positivity the entire time. Little touches, such as playing student selected music and including an optional olive oil tasting for those who were interested, enhanced the overall experience. The hotels were all clean and comfortable, with plenty of breakfast options each morning. The dinners were good and diverse, although the beef/green beans/potatoes in Paris were a little lacking in comparison to other meals arranged on the trip. I would absolutely NOT hesitate to recommend EF Tours and/or Florence as a guide for anyone looking to travel with the itinerary outlines on the "Paris and the Riveria" tour.
Overall a fair experience. Hotel locations within Paris were very far from the city, over an hour out. Made free time that was designated for on your own very difficult because it was too far to do anything. Didn’t stop and get at at any nice photo spots for the Eiffel Tower, literally stopped along a street and didn’t get near any parks or nice view spots. The evening cruise ended before dusk so didnt see the tower light up which was disappointing.
My son had an amazing experience at his first time in France.
The experience was a major success. Our students were beyond thrilled with their time in France. They can't stop talking about it now that we are back home. Great mix of city life in Paris and the relaxed style of the Riviera. Would highly recommend.
Good time. Well organized tour. Dining choices could have better (more authentically local food)
Tour guide was terrible and lazy. Food was not good and portions were small, had to buy extra food. Hotels were not the best. Not enough free time to shop around.

My son had a fantastic time on this trip. He enjoyed the sites visited. The host and of course the team leadership and everyone was very good. He said that he would gladly do the trip again which means that he had a great experience. The visit to Monaco was breathtaking. Would one day own property there.
EF tours made everything so easy. I didn’t have to worry about the details. Even small things, like tips, were all handled. It was expensive, but it was so easy.
Great trip!!
My daughter had a great experience with her class in France and Italy.
Paris was great but the South was even better.
My son had a super experience! So glad we made the decision for him to travel with EF Tours!
Very efficient and well run tour!
A man was in my son’s room when he returned for the night. The company paid everyone on the trip a whole 13 euros to attempt to make up for the safety and privacy violation. The company didn’t get tickets to the louvre. Dinners were not great and not enough time was given to get a decent lunch for the Paris portion. Had to book our own transportation to get home from airport (2.5 hours away from home) or wait 8+ hours for the connecting flight to original airport. A middle school group was added on to this high school trip and it seemed like a bad idea to mix the age groups.
