The tour guide was incredibly insensitive. My daughter ended up being robbed in the street. No police report! Problems with accommodations. At one point they tried to board 10 girls, most of whom were strangers, in one room. As if COVID doesn't exist!! Never again.

This was our first EF trip and we will definitely go on another one. France is just beautiful and our tour guide, Bastien, did a phenomenal job of showing us the country. Bastien’s knowledge and enthusiasm made the trip fun. While his leadership and organizational skills kept the teenagers moving and on schedule. I was very nervous about my teenage daughters navigating a foreign country where they did not speak the language, but Bastien’s tips and advice helped them along and he ensured their safety at all times. Be aware the days are jam packed from the moment your airplane lands and there is a lot of walking on uneven streets. If that is a problem for you, perhaps choose another tour. If it’s not, this trip will give you memories to last a lifetime!

The tour was good, but for students with food allergies and intolerances it is extremely difficult. The trip leaders knew of our student's food allergies, but the hotels did not do an adequate job of accomodating. He often ate iceberg lettuce with a slice of ham as this was the only alternative offered. His free time was spent hunting for food (he found several restaurants on his own that were very helpful) instead of exploring other places. He was cross-contaminated and came home with serious symptoms that took quite a while to get out of his system. Not enough effort was provided by EF and the local trip leaders to work around these issues (more than one student had allegies and intolerances). For this reason we will not be doing another EF trip, because our student cannot eat safely. If your student has food allergies, do not consider this a safe program.

My son had a very good time on this trip. They were disappointed with some of the accommodations and the hotels were not prepared for the group. Some kids were 3-4 to a room having to sleep on sofas instead of beds. Some of the meals planned were also disappointing, not true to culture. One evening they had to grab food for dinner at a convenience store because the bus driver was mandated to take a break and couldn't drive them to a restaurant.

My daughter and I feel very privileged to have had such an experience! Our tour guide Matilde was phenomenal! We felt very confident in all of her knowledge and feel like we’ve made a new friend:)
