We started in Barcelona and visited about ten cities in twelve days. Our group of 44 received 3 stamps in our passports- Spain, Gibraltar and Portugal!! EF is an amazing company with awesome tour guides. Carlos made our trip educational, humorous, enjoyable and safe! Thank you!!!

My daughter had a wonderful experience with the EF Tours trip to Portugal and Spain. The Glacier High School international language department and NHS chaperones are stellar. They were the main point of contact with EF Tours. They had a great tour guide and driver. Accommodations, food and excursions were safe and engaging. Definitely recommended!
EF Tours was not helpful during a 5-day trip delay. No airline assistance was provided and neither transportation, meals or accommodations were provided upon finally reaching a scheduled destination location on tour. The travel insurance communication was exhausting and the two companies (EF Tours and Seven Corners) failed to work together until over 6 months had passed. My child was not on your due to a delay (airline cancelation and errors) and was lucky to have 3 amazing adult volunteer chaperones to problem solve and assist with expenses incurred. Once on tour, Carlos the tour guide was brilliant. However, she missed the entire country of Portugal, yet paid for it.
I was disappointed in the communication and booking aspects of the trip. We tried to coordinate a family meet up on the back-end of my daughter’s trip. It was very difficult to coordinate changes to her return trip through EF Tours. We did not get any flight or hotel info until three weeks prior to travel. They booked my daughter on a separate outbound flight with a shorter connection than the rest of her group making her high risk for getting stranded alone for no apparent reason other than potentially saving a few dollars. Responses to my questions were slow and inconsistent. Additionally, towards the end of the trip they took them to big attractions to see but did not buy tickets for them to go inside. I don’t know if it was because they ran over budget but driving by a cathedral is not the same as touring it. At one location they stayed more than thirty minutes outside of the town. I will say that overall my daughter had a great experience and transportation and accommodations were adequate. I did not have full confidence in the logistics which caused for extra worry and cost absorbed by our family to make connecting to the tour possible.

When a student enters a special travel request, their ticket is booked separately from the group which may result in separate flights. We understand that these issues can be stressful and frustrating, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I cannot give a zero but I want to tell you - your customer service butchering my flights, despite my pleads, your lack of care, causing us to miss a day and a half of tour, your insurance company wouldn't refund us until we file BBI complaint- WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE WHAT YOU PUT US THROUGH - SHAME ON YOU AND YOUR COMPANY!

Amazing trip
I had the great opportunity to travel with my son on the Summer 2022 EF Tours trip to Portugal and Spain. I can not express how much fun this trip was for my son and me. I highly recommend traveling with EF Tours. A top-notch tour guide that spends the entire trip with the group. You learn some much about the areas you are visiting. You also get local guides that join the tour in various cities. Breakfast and dinners were covered, and a few lunches. The amount of sites that you get to visit is fantastic. Our time in Portugal was amazing, and we could not believe that Spain would be better, but I have to say it was just as good, if not better. We crossed the border into southern Spain and stayed in a small beach town for a rest and relaxation day. We would have never visited this fine city had we not been on this tour—incredible beach a few blocks from the hotel, great local food, and shops. You get used to the travel schedule, and they keep it fun and exciting. I could go on and on about how great this trip was, and my son and I will remember it for years to come. Thank you, EF Tours.
We saw things on the tour that we never would have found without a group. It was truly the trip of a lifetime.
The tour went well and our tour director worked well with our group, keeping us moving and on time but with some flexibility. We appreciated going both the Portugal and Southern Spain, seeing the ways they are similar and the ways they are different. Highlights included all the optional excursions, Alhambra, and the Belem tower. Personal favorite food are the Pastéis de nata (or de Belem) and various tapas throughout the trip.
Rating 2 stars because EF tours did nothing to assist us with our travelling mishaps when we missed several connections. We were even told "we need to advocate for ourselves by the EF rep when we asked for help." Travelers had to determine how to reticket for missed connections in a foreign country in which we could not communicate easily. Travelers had to advocate for hotel stay and pay out of pocket for transportation. Adult travelers had to split away from both assigned group leaders and take responsibility to get minors to final destination. (Our tour guide and drivers in Portugal and Spain were fantastic and VERY accommodating. I give them both 5 stars.)

My almost 17yrs daughter had an amazing 12 days visiting Portugal and Spain. Nothing but beautiful stories and experiences about the entire trip. So happy we did this for her.
